Douhi is a ball hog and doesn't release Jimmy. 3/4 spine players haven't played more than a handful of games in that position at 1st grade. We don't have a stock to replace them just yet and Micheal can't drop certain players due to politics in that position. Douhi should get thrown into centre and bring madden to pair Brooks. Brooks is also one of the leading try assist in the comp and one of the leading tackle efficiency for a half in the comp. He is 100% effort player but he isn't a grab thr game by the scruff on the neck player and he might never be but for 550k a season he is a steal. No way on earth I'll touch Milford with a stick for reserve grade. Just be patient if you are a tigers fan, Maguire is actually got our jnr program kick started again which previous coaches have fucked up and he has over 2.2milliom tired up in players who doesn't have choice over

The Manly-Norths merger lasted 2-3 seasons and Manly jumped for a lot of reasons, finance being one of them. St George-Illawarra had a relationship to begin with. For mine I'd pull the plug and move the Magpies with a magpie jumper to Campbelltown. Set up what Gus calls the strategic pathways. You bring back that Maggie jumper to Campelltown and christen the grandstand the Tommy Raudonikis stand and see what happens. I suppose the Balmain boys will think the same but I just don't see the traditional Tiger territory having a future.

Don't underestimate the seriousness of this story. You never want to spread fear and panic through the sporting community but there is certainly a responsibility here to be transparent and completely honest with the citizenry. Labelling the situation a crisis (upwards of half a dozen times) may seem melodramatic to some, but you get a sense that these people realise the real possibility that things could be getting a whole lot worse before they get better. Without putting the fear of God in anyone, I actually fear things may never get better. This could even be the existential crisis most of us refuse to acknowledge. Wake up people and get your head out of the sand. Don't be distracted and believe a pandemic or global warming are the things we need to be worrying about. Sporting teams are playing games against each other and one team has to lose. Sure, they lose one game and nobody notices. But then a second. A third. Seriously it’s pathetic that these players think that’s an excuse. Or worse “We didn’t really prepare well” Well get out of the league. There’s plenty that’ll be happy to turn up, and plenty that’ll be happy to prepare well. Again a professional sport with an amateur attitude.

Every year it's the same conversation, coaches under pressure teams not performing. The trouble is there isn't enough talent to have 16 teams capable of winning the comp . There have been fairytales in 05 and 03 but in the history of the game they are few and far between. How's this for an idea the NRL draws a line in the sand ,and says in 2025 the game will be a 10 or 12 team competition . On top of this pump money into 2 big second tier competitions. A big NSW cup and Queensland cup essentially. Clubs could un merge , the Pacific islands could become teams and it would be easier to bring teams from WA , SA or another Brisbane team into the competition without giving them extra salary . Just an idea but I think the NRL needs start protecting it's heart land and breeding grounds more before it wants to expand, I think this will help both

Meeting the late Laurie Nicholls there was terrifying at first (met him when I was 8) but later in life, grew to know him as a true gentleman. My dad also gave me the advice of “always bet on your own team or whoever’s playing Manly” 😂😂😂. Nowadays, it’s the Storm & the Roosters who I can’t stand. Your Bunnies certainly are one of the strongest sides in the comp & seeing “the old man” (Benji) firing on all cylinders is a great sight ☝️😉👌

Bring in madden and cut away brooks. Brooks has been there for years and is classy at times but doesn’t lead the team around the park. Some blokes are natural leaders. Brooks isn’t

Musgrove missed 2 tackles that directly led to tries back to back 2 mins apart and he stays on the field and plays more minutes than Stefano, and he'll get selected again this week.

Every year it's the same conversation, coaches under pressure teams not performing. The trouble is there isn't enough talent to have 16 teams capable of winning the comp . There have been fairytales in 05 and 03 but in the history of the game they are few and far between.
How's this for an idea the NRL draws a line in the sand ,and says in 2025 the game will be a 10 or 12 team competition . On top of this pump money into 2 big second tier competitions. A big NSW cup and Queensland cup essentially. Clubs could un merge , the Pacific islands could become teams and it would be easier to bring teams from WA , SA or another Brisbane team into the competition without giving them extra salary . Just an idea but I think the NRL needs start protecting it's heart land and breeding grounds more before it wants to expand, I think this will help both
