why not say this to all the unproductive previous government. even your Abeokuta son Obasanjo literally did nothing to where he could call home, now we have a productive government, and u all just want everything done at once, very unrealistic people.

Most of our federal roads have been awarded to contractors including this road, the minister of works said they should resign the contract of forfeit it, today's the deadline, he said over 17 contractors in 17yrs have received funds without working or having equipments on ground

Lagos-Abeokuta rd Lokoja-Benin rd Ibadan-Ife-Okene rd Ibadan-Ilorin-Mokwa-Suleja rd Benin-Warri-Port Harcourt rd and many other roads in the northern Nigeria are critical for the Nigerian economy.
If they are not fixed and the major cities connected with standard guage rail lines, then development will continue to elude us

Government is busy wasting money on Lagos Calabar coastal highway instead of fixing existing roads. The speed with which they are quick to destroy properties along the route of this proposed highway is alarming. It’s a shame the calibre of people we have in government in Nigeria.

The reason why I quit politics as my conscience won’t just let me carry on-imagine these vehicles are some peoples properties,many of those vehicles ends up in mechanic yards with the owner bearing the pains alone..A country that have President,governors,ministers,chairman ,Commissioners,Senators,Councillors ,all these people get paid every single month to make sure people don’t experience this type of hardship..One thing I’m very sure of is Karma,If you give people pain,you and your children are gonna get pain..Their wickedness has caused many deaths,I they too will die one day anyway..

Ozed, you’re good dude but why are you speaking as if the authorities are not aware of the terrible state of this road?!
They’re well aware of the condition of the road (and have probably “awarded” many contracts that rarely proceed beyond paying/sharing mobilization fees), but there’s a lot more money to be made/looted from brand new contracts such as the Lagos-Calabar “coastal” road that’s billed to cost more than the combined 2024 budgets of all of the 36 states.
PS: Btw, bad roads are LESS responsible for road accidents than are bad drivers.

@@therealist2866 umahi has given them deadline to forfeit or return to site, almost all highways have been awarded, they met contracts from the past admin that had not been carried out, including boony highway
