I am so grateful to you for getting this video up so quick. Slightly frustrated with Square Enix though because this rotation makes a lot less sense in my head than the previous one. It's going to be a beast to relearn.
Take a look at the pinned comment, that should make slightly more sense. And use what I described once you understand it a little more. End of the day you have bursts every minute and a 7 GCD filler. The image simply bursts the same every-time no matter where you are in your filler, the video tries to pool slightly more potency into each burst but is a little more complex because of it.
The rotation is a teeny tiny bit more flexible with Divine Might . . . But that comes at a hefty cost IMO. Trying to line up a FoF window by dropping Atonement stacks feels terrible. If they extended the recast time for FoF, Goring Blade, and Requiescat by a few seconds and everything lines up so you don't have to drop Atonement stacks.
Im still new to the game. I’m a lvl 56 PAL on console and kinda scared getting to higher level content cause I’m afraid I still won’t understand what to do as a tank
Activate tank stance, grab the enemies, turn them away from the party and don't move so enemies don't move either (within reason), dodge AoEs, then move back to your previous location, do mechanics, and you're good in early game. Use your buffs, don't stack mitigations unless you need it to survive, use GCD and oGCD abilities and that's pretty much all you need in early game. Normal enemies can hit harder than bosses, especially if you do big pulls, so don't just save your mitigations for bosses. Your party might pressure you into doing bigger pulls, but do not feel forced to do that if you don't feel comfortable with it. It's harder for parties to deal with more enemies in early game. Depending on the content, there can be more than one tank, you are either main tank and will tank the boss or you are off tank and will tank the adds (and/or a second boss) or just be another DPS if there's nothing else to tank. Do not fight the other tank over the boss aggro, if the other tank wants it, turn off tank stance, let them be main tank and be off tank instead.
Honestly I have been playing on ps4 for years and took a break after beating base endwalker. Coming back now to do past story and I feel I am going to need to redo my entire crossbar layout lol. May hurt in the short term, but here's hoping it helps in the long term!
This is probably a dumb question but I don't understand the order of the rotation sections? So you start with Opener and Rotation which is the first 22 steps, then you do Odd Minute Burst, then Filler and then Even Minute Burst and start over? Seems needlessly complicated but I might just be misunderstanding the whole thing.
You do the odd minute burst at the odd minutes of the fight 1/3/5/7 and the even at the even minutes. 2/4/6/8. You naturally start with the opener. So then your rotation would look like. Opener, odd burst, odd filler, even burst, even filler, odd burst, odd filler, even burst, etc
The new reworked rotation gradually builds up in difficulty, while you cannot do the rotation loop, you can already learn what each action does and get used to using them.

does 1 2 3 combo counts as a filler for FoF or do I hardcast holy spirit if I don't have anything ready

Going blade is pretty much useless as a gcd. Instead of dropping an atonement could you just take GB off the hotbar?

Same here, lvl 44 Pal after 3 years not playing and I feel like a total beginner, this guide is amazing.
No worries, tanking isn’t that difficult. I plan on making a general tanking guide in the future, that might help you as well.

don't you want two holy spirits under fight or flight instead of atonements??
If they're buffed by your might buff, then of course. But this is not always obtainable.
So i'm at 55, i guess i just kind of have to wait till 90 to ''learn'' lol.

Priority system pld feels a lot better than rigid rotation pld
It’s a preference thing. I’d personally also play it as a priority, I might mention it if/when I update the guide in a new patch.

Just use the aoe versions of your actions at 3+ targets
