I think that GoF represented all of the aspects of HP. Romance, like in the Yule Ball. Adventure, like in the three tasks. Mystery, like what was Voldemort's plot for Harry. Tragedy, like Cedric's death. And all the other things, like friendship and humor, were all mixed in as well. That's why I personally like this movie the best. It's a culmination of all that's great with the series.
I think this entire film is overlooked by most of us, because it's not specific to the horcruxes yet it doesn't quite build the Harry Potter world. It's in the middle. But the ending is so crucial to the plot of the seven books and eight films. It's a strangely relaxing, lovely film to watch, because it has thatr sense of home that's unlike the other films. That sense of belonging.
This movie is my favourite of the eight films while Half Blood Prince is my favourite book and it's for all the reasons you said and also because I always love bittersweet endings than full on happy endings, way more impactful plus more representative of life because in life there are no happy endings just bittersweet adventures, but that's okay and by the end despite all the loss and pain they will be okay because they have each other, god I love this film! 😍😍🥰💖
This is right on the money... this film, more than any other, looks at what it would be like to be a comfortable student, right in the middle of one's seven years at HW. Somehow, the film manages to do this with the threat of death all around and the first actual death of a student (barring the depicted death in the flashback to Riddle's victim in CoS) in the whole series, with the awkwardness of a early romance, and while the school has the unusual situation of two other schools' visitors. It's an underappreciated gem, and I hope the upcoming games will manage to capture that spirit somehow.
My first HP film I ever saw in theaters back in 2005 when it came out I was 6 years old and it still bring back good old memories for me still in 2021 as a 22 year old young adult
the memories of when i saw it in theatres and i heard this epic music when i was in second grade and it being late at night and going to taco bell for dinner. i just think of the beginning of the song people getting up
0:00 - 2:36 This is one of my favourites! I'm the only one who realized this particular track sounding in the ending credits it's not part of the soundtrack's commercial album and got sad? It's like a hair-raising version of this "Hogwart's Hymn", and in my opinion it's one of the best songs from the franchise, it gives a perfect ending to this part, it sounds like crying for de death of Cedric and the return of the Dark Lord with his menace. Patrick Doyle is a genius and he should have composed for the rest of the movies. Either him of John Williams.
It is a real shame to see one of the most rousing tracks in the entire series only played in the end credits. Literally only really paid attention to it when I heard it while doing the studio tour and was wondering why on Earth I couldn't pinpoint such a memorable track to a specific scene. It's the perfect blend of the tragic and the triumphant and wouldn't have been out of place as the crowning track during the climax of the Deathly Hallows.
Patrick Doyle is a fkn genious... whenever I like a soundtrack I check it out and it always turns out to be another one of his masterpieces.. my fav remains the soundtrack of A Little Princess :')
It's an incredible ending isn't it? My favourite movie in the franchise I love movies that end on a note you really don't know what's gonna happen next when I was little and watched in the cinema I was blown away then that classic Hedwig theme played followed by that amazing orchestral piece on the rest of it truly an incredible movie and a coming of age story 💖
How funny, I love the part from 0:40 right till there, because it builds up that strong suspended climaxes with all orchestral power, then slowly releasing it over so many different colors of harmony. It tears and releases like a roller coaster ride.
the credit music is always the best, and i don´t know why! Maybe cause you just have seen the fantastic movie and will the credit are rolling and you listen and think over what you just have seen.
1. John Willams 2. Patrick Doyle 3. Alexandre Desplat 4. Nicholas Hopper But they were all good in their different ways. Williams captured the 'magic' of Potter, whilst Hopper and Desplat had to capture the darkness of the Half Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows. Doyle's music is very moving, as you can hear in the 'Death Of Cedric' piece.
Having this music play while first walking into the room on the tour when Hogwarts is covered in snow really did make seeing it magical. Definitely my favourite piece of music from Harry Potter.

I don't know how you will be in a few years, i don't know if you will still be with him or if you will move on. I just think this book had a wonderful plot. Everything was totally unexpected, like Mad Eye being out to kill Harry (Barty Crouch Jr.), all of the challenges, and of course, being teleported to the graveyard in the end for the duel against Voldemort. It was so good.
I agree. I hate it when people say Williams could not pull off the dark tone of the last few films, because he can pull of dark music like no one's business. All you need for affirmation is a listen to "War of the Worlds".
I agree, out of all of the pieces from all of the scores, he had the most that I liked. It might not have been the best adaptation out of the series (but neither was the fourth installment), but the music was absolutely brilliant, and emotional. I mean come on, it had Dumbledore's Farewell song on there, as well as In Noctem. It had a much darker theme to it, and I liked it better than any others. MrsPaul Even his own writing for the Harry Potter series is quite dark. He would have been perfect to score the entire series, it's a shame that he couldn't return for the other movies.

I think, for me, the Goblet of Fire is my favourite out of all 8 movies because it has the most humour in it and many of the best morals and messages behind it. :) awesome music as well :D x
5:28 This piece of music is just very sad, Poor Old Cedric 😭. To the user of this video, can I borrow this piece of soundtrack, if you don’t mind me using it if I’m going to shoot a TV Series? 🙂
@@TheDougOutFootballChannel It's not. It's a different version of "Hogwart's Hymn", but it's different, indeed, this one starts with the "Hedwig's theme" leitmotiv, unlike "Hogwart's Hymn".
