oh 100% after seeing the new MDX! and with the BANG AND OLUFSEN System.. surprised they did not just do that with the TLX........................ the true touchpad is horrendous to use... especially with carplay and when the car is in motion etc....
@@layne4376 It has higher predicted reliability than the BMW, according to consumer reports. Also, unlike the BMW, it has real torque vectoring, double-wish bone suspension and adaptive dampers standard. It's also $10K less than a comparably equipped M340i (with xDrive), with a better audio system and ventilated seats. The BMW needs the track pack to get better brakes. Also, the TLX looks much better. There's more to a car beyond 0-60 timing, and it's as fast as most of the other cars in the segment (Genesis, Lexus IS, etc.). You're crazy if you think the BMW will last longer than this Type S.
I’ll have to disagree on the touchscreen. It’s just more convenient not having a touchscreen to be honest you have your eyes on the road and your hands on the dial. I think it’s just depends on the driver. I think they are doing Wonderful with the non-touchscreen.
I own a 2021 with this same exact spec. I rate my car a 7/10. Design is amazing, sound system and awd system are fantastic and the suspension is solid but everything else is downhill from my experience and hearing other owners as well. It’s not as reliable as you might think.. there have been many problems with transmissions to tech and body frames. I personally hate that the gas tank is small and limited performance to weight ratio. Rotors and brakes from Honda are absolute crap for this car. Lastly.. the value is starting to drop on the car unfortunately. I don’t regret it getting it but im getting rid of it next year for the Germans. In particular that Audi RS5 Sportback. But I recommend this car for a nice sporty comfortable daily commuter for this segment. Hopefully my honest experience helps out a potential buyer in here.
@@MidnightAspec While the RS5 is definitely an M3/4 competitor, the 340i is the car that keeps up with in in terms in acceleration at 30K less which is wild. BMW is out of their minds lately.
@@user-bl4vm9vb1jyou're making some terrible decisions lol. 3 cars in the span of what? How much money have you lost trading them in this consistently lol
I love the TLX and think it’s perfect with the exception of the output … ~45 more horses and it would be absolutely perfect. A lot of people think the 355 is adequate, which it’s great, but when the Stinger and G70 produce 376/365, and the M340i produces 382, I’m thinking it could stand to hit ~400. - But then again, Honda has always been conservative in their numbers … dah well.
First off, awesome review as always guys! I think the 9 donuts would have Joe (Raiti’s rides) jumping for joy 😅😅. Quick question though, does Mason ever drive? I think I’ve only ever seen Drew drive lol. Jokes aside, keep up the awesome work!!
Did I miss it? Are they run flat tires? My 24' CT4 Sport came with 19' wheels, Brembo brakes and run flat tires. No tire tools. No tire jack. No air compressor with a can of "booger snot" and no tire plug kit and I'm ok with it. Come in?
No heated rear seats… RDX is cheaper with heated rear seats on both of the top two trim levels. That’s sad. Any idea about the Acura ZDX or a Toyota RAV4 limited? Keep up the amazing work! Another amazing video! ❤❤❤
i would buy this car today if it was better on gas, the back seat area is way too small and not having a touch screen and that silly touch-pad is ancient and needs to go.
Interior is still a dealbreaker. The large exterior with tiny and ugly interior are terrible design choices. Touchpad needs to go along with the button shifter.
1,000 lbs heavier than the Integra Type S and only 30 more horsepower. Worse MPG. Automatic transmission only. Not worth it. Only good thing is the AWD.
I love the TLX, but Acura needs to seriously work on their panel gaps. I can see in this video noticeable differences in gaps all around the car. Please get this fixed asap.
Its not trying to be. This will actually be on the road in 5yrs issue free, and give the customer their moneys worth and not the BMW service department.
@layne4376 it actually is. Just look up REAL CUSTOMER complaints and actual recalls and customer class action lawsuits that have to be reported to the government. Making car and drivers 10 best or Consumer Reports reliability scores judged by bais 15 person team is not the same as actual consumer real world reported issues. While BMW has come a long way, thier still internally junk made of plastic parts. Lexus and Acura, while not as popular, still have triple the lifespan. Sorry to be the one to break it to you. I mean, why do you think the resale value can't hold up to a similarly equipped Japanese luxury vehicle. People know their junk there, just great status symbols.
@@layne4376 and now I'll explain how you contradicted yourself. You downplayed the TLX Type S beating the G70 in the Lightning Lap by saying "no one tracks their cars". MotorTrend's Figure-8 hot lap is a better real world metric as the speeds reached are closer to real world speeds, with an emphasis on driving dynamics like cornering. So with the TLX Type S beating the G70 (and the M340i) in the Figure-8, you acknowledged the TLX Type S is the better handler.

You guys are horrible knock offs. Quit your boring ass channel.
I hoping the 2025 TLX model will finally offer touchscreen infotainment and a increase in torque and horsepower.
It needs a bump in power to offset the increased weight over the competitors. Maybe around 380 horsepower
Gonna wait for the redesign with a touch screen. Please Acura. Plllleeaasssseee.

Yeah I have the 21 & I miss the touchscreen from my previous Acura so they went backwards but I'm use to it now
This is the best combination of luxury/build quality/performance/price.
Except bad fuel economy. So close.

That’s exactly the move I’d make as well. The M340i gets all the fanfare but give me the RS5 any day. (Granted the RS5 is more-so an M3 competitor.)

It’s very nice, l love the red interior and metal speaker grills, it does need a touch screen😂
Must like 👍🏼 for me on anything Acura specially type S!!! 🎉
If touch screens had come first then one day came nobs, buttons, and switches, the automotive world would have gone nuts with joy.

Thanks! And Mason does drive from time to time, we just get used to our routine😂
Make it lighter, give it a touch screen, THEN it’s a true standout
I wished they also made it smaller. Should be no more than 189" in length and 72" in width.
Hey, thinking about getting one now,
My 2021 TLX Advance with the noise reducing windows was not a quiet car at all….
This engine is begging for a tune! Maybe something like a 400hp tune?
Indeed, but, I want the touchscreen infotainment and six speed manual!
Love your video 📹 ❤️ 💕
RDX best thing Acura makes for the money
nice video cc!!
If it had touchscreen, it would be the best sedan for the value.

If they made a 2 door coupe version would be great
I'm thinking this car would compare more to the CT5 than the CT4. No?
Does the new model have three seatbelts in the rear seat? I couldn’t quite tell from the video.
Yes, it still fits three (technically) in the back
I wouldn’t buy those narrow sidewall wheels on any car or SUV. makes the ride too bumpy on actual bumps.
Ok so buy an suv or boring family car.
In a perfect world (for me) it would have at least 400hp, optional 6 spd manual, and a TOUCHSCREEN!
Then these would sell extremely well.
That would’ve been epic IMO
We’ve driven a TLX Type S in Sport+ mode, and we got 7.7 MPG 😂😅😂
No auto start?? My TL has it stock
Only thing missing is a panoramic roof
No dealer around me has them. Wanted this or a Lexus IS 300, same deal, they don’t sell. Massachusetts

That E39 👀
Great looking car, but needs to improve its performance to be able to keep up with other cars in its class!
my only issue with this car is the MPG, m340i is faster, with more horsepower and still gets better MPG
Should be 400hp if Nissan can do it. Hey !
