Thank you so much man! I was so frustrated with the fx6 for a long time now and couldn’t find videos that helped much. But these settings make the camera much easier to use and I learned more about the camera just from watching this video and changing these custom button settings. I’m shooting a wedding tomorrow and feel much better now. Thanks man! The only answer I can’t find by the way, is if there is an easy way to switch between frame rates on the fly. Or to be able to switch easily to diferent camera settings like you would with a Sony a7 series camera by using mode dial 1&2 etc
Hey bro appreciate the kind words and glad this could help! With the frame rate question, besides having S&Q activated and then set to a button to say toggle between 24 and 60 there really isnt a "fast" solution besides that one
Very cool video .. I got the FX6 4 days ago and I love it, but the first question I had was - how can I change the Base Iso asap and your video gave me the perfect answere. And the feature with the zoom in is awesome! I never heard of it - the quality really stays the same? Thanks A LOT for those two infos. Keep it up and have a great time :)
Congrats on grabbing the fx6! I’ve yet to have any issues using clear image zoom including 6 figure budgets. No one has ever said a thing! Yeah the dual iso toggle can be annoying and thought programming it to the top handle would be super easy to toggle seamlessly during shoots! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you for these settings. I keep pressing the custom white balance when shooting handheld when trying to press the focus button. Do you have any suggestions ie can I lock that button etc?
Not sure if there’s a way to lock it to be honest. I’ve looked to see if you can clock buttons and I think it’s just the custom 1-9 that you can only turn off. The ones that have dedicated roles I don’t believe are interactive with any setting adjustments
Personally I think having the low/high base switch assigned to a button on the camera body makes more sense.. If you assign it to the top handle and fly the camera on a gimbal you still end up having to access the menu to change base ISO.
Great input, for 90% of my productions my fx6 is handheld or on sticks being that I’m only on gimbals for automotive, music videos and establishing shots. You must shoot a lot of low light gimbal stuff huh? That’s the best part about the camera configuring it to your own needs and now that you know what option it is you have plenty of buttons to choose from using.
This is a great question, the back of the LCD screen already has a dedicated zebra toggle on and off so I just left it. If im being honest I use waveforms and false color more for my exposures. Zebras I haven't used in years!
Great video for you fx6 owner's out there. Good to see you putting content out here again.
Thank you bro means a lot!!!

Thanks for this. BTW, Did you ever do a video on the FX3 custom button menu?
Sick video 🙌🏽 the goal is to own an fx6 someday!
My G! Always appreciate you Lou!
Great video! Thank you :)
Do you have a different set up when using it on a gimbal or do you never use that camera on a gimbal?
