I think most people are wondering what is the performance for 9800X3D compared to 7800X3D because a lot of users are gamers from the PC community.

Everyone knows the _800X3D comes MUCH LATER, after the _700X release. Once the 9700X releases, 7 months later, you will have your 9800X3D.

@@Twitch_Moderator This the tragic truth, I wish they could release it at once. I will have to buy an Intel again since I refuse to buy an old 7800x3d this close to a new one comes out. I need a placeholder while my 14900k gets rma'd, and but I would loose tons of money going for an 7800x3d at full price, only to have to sell it used in a few months.

10% better performance in gaming. No one should really care tbh

Its good, if you expect more youre not realistic. 5000 series was a big jump and 7000 too but you cant expect it every time. Consider 9600x for $239 msrp being close to 7800x3d performance in gaming for $110$ less and 7800x3d is already the goat cpu. 600x chip got the best value because mhz diff to 700x is only 100mhz but in 7000 series it was 300mhz.

*The 9700X support 5,600MHz DDR5. The 7800X3D only supports 5,200MHz (officially). With EXPO, the sweetspot for the 7800X3D is 6,000MHz ram.* 😑
*The 9700X will be able to utilize 6,800MHz ram as the new sweet spot. You will gain 5-10% framerates increase from that alone.*
*Plus lower power, means it runs cooler.* 👍

Nah, It doesnt mean anything as Ryzen scales with tight latencies anyways. The best ram for 7000 is 5600 cl28 and it will stay the same with 9000 series.

Guy, on the Cine R23 benches for the R 9000 series, you need to fix your ST scores. If the 2232 of the 9900X is the baseline at 100%, how in the fuck is the 2244 of the 9600X 95%? It should be 100% as well. It's a 15% ST boost over the 7600X. I have no idea where you get this 8% from, literally none of the numbers add up to 8%.

You're right, should have noticed it, my bad. I did the math looking at the %, so 8 % but it's 15% faster. Silly mistake.

Nice 17,000 C23 score for the 9600x. The 7600x is around low 15,000 range usually. Curious of the price. I just bought another 7600x for $175 as I needed to test a bunch of boards.

What is going on? Intel release a micropatch, which will lower the voltages. With that, the performance of the 14700K will be less strong than with the (unsafe) Bios.
I assume that this Videocardz graph shows the old testbench results of the 14700K while the Core Ultra 7 265KF has newer lower voltages, and is therefre slower than the 14700K at the old, unsafe settings. My Ryzen 7700X looking good now. 🙂

Don't get ahead of yourself reptilepantoso, it isn't an unsafe frequency or bus speed. It is simpy a wattage supply input in the BIOS. Setting it to the 253 watts (that it should've been to begin with), it still hits 5.6 GHz no problem.
The performance loss in gaming is 2-5 fps (when above 100 fps). No real loss below 100 fps. I watched a ton of tech reviews on it.

@@chills_tiny_momIf you can wait a little bit, get the 9700X 👍 It's better than the 7800X3D.
      The 7800X3D has a sweetspot of 6,000MHz for DR5 ram. The 9700X has a 6,800MHz DDR5 sweetspot.
It will get you around 10% more frames per second in gaming over the 7800X3D. And at a much lower wattage. 👍

And the microcode update impact on performance is speculative - maybe it's not really perceptible, 0x125 is imperceptible.
