I bought the matte Kato and returned it, and bought 5 more different IEMs, just to realize that Kato was the best IMO. I bought it again, except in glossy dark blue and I'm so excited!

ayyyy, be careful tho, i heard that blue's paint can be scratched overtime.
anyway, although mine (mirror) is literally battle-scarred already, still loving it so much and thought it's worth making a video for it :p

Where would you rate blessing 3 in the scale

BL3 is a weird set... While overall I'd put it slightly lower than Kato (mainly due to tuning difference), but if just vocal-wise, its very natural, and give me a sense of "right there, this is how the voice should sound like".

I have both, and what I basically did was set my EQ for the B3s to match the Kato's. and what you get it sa significantly more technical Kato.@@catadegen

do you have eartips recommendation for Kato?
I've tried some tips but still hasn't found the sweet spot yet.
Spring tips for me gives that Vocal body and lushness that I like but missing a bit of that treble bite and bass tactility and the soundstage feels bit cramped compared to other tips. Meanwhile my fav which is radius deep mount makes Kato sounds a bit harsh on the treble on some tracks, and the mids sounds a bit thinner but it gives that good bass and soundstage

I know the pain, and iirc I filtered out spring tips as well because sound in general is dispersed in a bad way. Kato is a funny set, while I can use a lot of usual ball like eartips (e.g. final audio type E) on it to make it sound "normal", I finally settled on Acoustune Aex70 (M size) because it actually gave me a new perspective on how Kato can sound. Idk whether it will have the same effect to your ears tho, so just take the parameters of the eartips for reference i guess...

@@catadegen thanks for the reply! after you mentioned the usual ball like eartips, I remembered that I haven't tried Chu 2 Stock tips, maybe gonna give it a shot. I also haven't tried the final E bcs when I tried the final E (clear ver) on some bright sets like salnotes zero 1, it gives me weird ringing or weird high freq peak, idk is it the set or the tips but also gonna give it a try I guess. AEX07 is a interesting choice, maybe in a near future gonna try it too.

@@renkirigasaki Np. Tip rolling is a fun part of the hobby, because you never know which tips would work on which set, some tips that you never use on any earphones, may actually be the savior of the ONE set that you really love.
Btw, its AEX70, not AEX07 (they actually have another model called AEX07...i know, confusing Zzz).

I find that katos really lacks that kickdrum thump and sub-bass rumble. Until i tried the azla sednaearfit light eartips. Yes they are pricey for pieces of silicone but they improved my katos exponentially. All of the cons I mentioned are gone and a bit more. The soundstage is wider and treble sparkles so much more. I've tried various tips like the Dunu S&S, Divinus Velvets, Springtips, Foam tips, Various Spinfits and none of them has even came close to the azlas in terms of sound. Maybe in comfort and fit it could be better but man the sound is incredible, definitely worth the money.

is it the standart or the short one? I heard good things about the standard.
As for now I'm using Softears UC, this by far, for me, the best tips that I have for kato, this tips gives that good low end but also lifts up the high end (compared to the spring tips) but not as harsh as the Radius deep mount. The soundstage is wide too, maybe the widest soundstage projection compared to my other tips. But surprisingly the Aria SE stock tips comes in second and maybe the Chu 2 tips too (they a bit diff but just a tiny bit), they are pretty good tips. If you wanna tighten the bass and more sparkle on the top end, You can try the radius deep mount, the black one, the clear one maybe kinda too bright, it reduces the low end by a bit but has a bit better vocal and soundstage projection. @@troved590
