It has a very melancholic sound to it. Nostalgic but in a passive form of nostalgia that's not sure if the past is something to hang onto, forget, be sad for, or regret. Marceline misses her mom and regrets many parts of her past but if her mother hadn't died in the war then her entire life would have changed. She would never have met Simon, would never have fallen in love with Bubblegum, and wouldn't have become a vampire thus giving her the ability to die of her old age. But for what it's worth she just wants to grow up with a normal life in our very real human world.
