Best choice. I still have basilisk v1 but gonna upgrade or hoping not to downgrade on deathadder v2. Mainly because the grip, the anti slip thing on left side came off after 2years of using it :(
And still bought it b ware, so no complaints. Choose to buy deathadder cuz I tested it in shop and I felt it fit to my hand better mostly bcs I have big hands and after few hours of intense gaming my palm started to hurt using basilisk, so I hope it will be better.
I really like your analytical approach. I’ve got the Deathadder Pro and was looking for an alternative but now I’m thinking my grip is wrong. I learned on cheap non-gaming mice and use the fingertip grip which you need to with crude switches, but maybe on a more upmarket mouse the palm grip is better.
Razer viper mini and deathadder v2 pro were the best releases from razer this year.

Thank you for your videos, I'm a new subscriber of yours....I'd honestly love to purchase a razer mouse but I actually got a new computer mouse the other day from amazon, it's from a brand called Havit, it's just like razer except it's much cheaper, you still get all the color modes, you still get the DPI button it's pretty cool. The only thing you miss out on is the software type stuff but for me this Havit mouse is perfectly fine for me and my use. I don't usually play computer games I just thought it looked pretty nice and the price, I couldn't pass it up.
I have the naga trinity razer viper mamba elite and the death adder v2 I go back in forth on all of them and I love all of them 💚

Mamba elite has the best rgb lighting, it’s not here, but I’ve owned them all, favorite to use is the basilisk,
Me being a longtime wow player (basically since launch) I have been using a naga for just about the whole time currently using the naga trinity. I use the 2 button plate for general web browsing. Then switch to the 12 button plate when I log in to game.

My next mouse will the Deathadder V2 , is good for fps , rts , mobas and RPG games . Plus is good for programming.
I actually have been using the razer basilisk ultimate and I love it! I have tried out the razer viper mini and it just didn't feel right. My only complaints about the basilisk are well there aren't any.

Correction the Black Mamba Elite had the most rgb it's got 2 strips on both sides as well as the classic logo and scroll wheel
That aside I've been using it for about a year and i love it, wish there was a wireless version with the same amount of rgb

I'm a bigger guy, 6'1, I started with the viper ult and it felt a little small. So I moved up to the Basilisk ult, great in hand, but a little heavy especially compared to the Viper. Hoping to try the Deathadder V2 Pro soon, it looks like the best of both worlds as far as great in hand and more lightweight.
I naturally claw the Viper, although my pinky has to curl a little extra, almost cramped, to grip the mouse.
Your video made me realize I have a fingertip grip. However, I just bought the Razer Viper Mini and there's just too much of a gap between the mouse and my hand so I'm returning it and giving the Deathadder V2 a try. I want my hand to actually touch the mouse so I'm hoping the swap does just that. My hand size is 7.5" in length and 4.25" in width so it's right on the border of medium and large.
Wanted to go with the Basilisk.. But I am left hand and have large hands that apply the "finger tip grip" so.. I am going to pick up a Viper wireless and give it a go!!

1) you didn't mention switches and sounds
2) will the macro software allow me to assign one of the buttons as a "left click and hold" toggle button?
3) can you comment on long-term durability of double-click wear and tear on the optical switches?
If they made a basalisk with 6 side buttons, kinda like the Zelotes c-12 I'd but that.
Yes I know the naga pro has 6 but The bottom 3 are too high up for my taste, especially since I have a medium hand & palm grip. I prefer the bottom 3 be lower down.
And YES, I know the Trinity has the 7 button, but that side button setup is a bit smaller and more compact, and the buttons are placed differently to accommodate for the the 7th button (obviously).
Its just more than I want to learn to retrain my muscle for. Plus its too rich for my blood lol.
Had basilisk and bought deathadder v2. I regret it. Should've bought basilisk v2. The deathadder shape is so wierd and the mouse itself feels big after using basilisk. Basilisk fits better to my hands as I use craw grip. If you use palm grib go for deathadder.
i have the razer basilisk x hyperspeed and its great! its budget wireless for a great shape
That and the rvu are really good imo.

Instead of replacing it I just upgrading to the elite which has an optical sensor
@@doctorgonzo7777 Yeah I agree, when people think razer mousses they think Death Adder, I just personally preferred the mamba for its feel and rgb strips down the side
I bought a Razer Copperhead almost 12 years ago. Still works flawlessly but the plastic is so old, the clicking buttons are a bit sticky due to polymer degradation (it happens to old plastic). Really want to get another Razer to last me for 12 + years as well, thanks for the review.
Still undecided though lol.

@@-Zinx- Still using it to this day, condition is as good as when I bought it, battery life seems to have only ever so slightly gone down, however that's my own fault for charging it every night, and it's not enough to even mean anything anyways. I wouldn't recommend the ultimate anymore after the release of the Basilisk v3 pro due to the amazing new technology and features but it's also much more expensive than the ultimate so if it's because you're on a budget then the ultimate will do perfectly!

Great video! I'm considering acquiring a new mouse because I want to go wireless. I've used a razer naga since forever and I like it very much. However I'm very indecise regarding the naga / basilisk / viper (ultimate version for the wireless). I have medium sized hands and my grip style is palm. I play mostly league of legends, no fps for me :)

Naga I've owned a razer viper ultimate and it is perfect for fps but even though it has buttons on both side your only going to be using one set unless you want to take you hand completely off mouse the basilisk idk about but the naga has the most buttons that are easily accessible (unless your left handed)

I have the basilisk ultimate and it replaced my MX Masters 2S. I just noticed that i can't palm the mouse but less issues with carpal tunnel compared to MX Masters 2S and i've been on this mouse for almost a year to boot. LOL
Will try Viper Ultimate since it seems to be longer than basilisk and may provide better palm support

I'm a lefty but I trained myself since childhood to use right handed mice. Best decision in my life lol. Freaking lefty / ambidexterous mice are always more expensive.
as a kid, my parents always gave me cheap left handed mice which for some reason didn't feel good even though I was a lefty so then I realised I was actually ampidexterous and could use right-handed mice with ease, saving loads of money in the long run.

Hey Brainbean, good video. I'm looking for a mouse that can execute macros specifically while in the onboard memory mode. I looking to use macros on computers where I dont have install privilege meaning I can not access the mouse hub software. Do any of these mice do that?

I got 18cm length and 10cm width hands and the viper ult is really small for me, the deathadder v2 pro is a good all rounder as it suits most grips, it's the one I personally use and for fingertip and palm its amazing. I also tried out the basilisk ult which is a good mouse for just browsing the web and casual gaming as its sooo freaking comfortable as it's ergonomic but its pretty chunky ig.

i have a Medium hand size, but the medium sized mice feel terrible. I prefer the small

For Some reason when I tried the deathadder v2 for the first time, imu Hand just didn’t sit on it naturally. Now I don’t know if its just that I’m not used to it but however I decided to go with the viper ultimate instead

When you're left-handed, but a right-handed mouse user. I'm 31, been doing PC things for 26 years now, they didn't have "left-handed mice" when I was growing up, so I kinda.... had no choice to be a right-handed mouse user.

Do not listen to that scale chart. I have a "large" hand with a claw grip so I qualify for the Raszer Viper but the Viper tires out my pinky and ring finger. Make sure that you test out the shape before you buy.
I will be buying the new Basilisk V3 or will wait for the Deathadder V3.

I need help! My hand size were exact 7 inches and width of 4 or 4.3 ish? and my grip is like relaxed claw. I am finding a mouse that will support my grip and will give me the best potential for my aim. I was thinking about Deathadder V2 or or Viper but IDK what to choose and I am stuck. The deathadder V2 for 20cm hand large and palm grip is good?
if the standard deathadders fit in ur hand ok, it should be ok, I got 19cm length and 10cm width hands with the deathadder essential which is the same shape as the deathadder v2 pro and its great for palm grip. I also use fingertip in fast-paced fps games which it works okay with to.
