Well I went ahead and purchased one and I must say it seems like I made a wise purchase. Going to use it next weekend in Mississippi at the deer camp. As far as the lack of use of my left arm, I’ll practice all week here at the house on the deck. Thanks for your help brother!
Hi there I got my on carbon fiber because I do a lots o trekking on mountain hunting red stag back in Argentina. I have some opening for the ratting season if you interested
I use mine in a ground blind. I wouldn't want to carry this around all day on hunts where we're stalking game. In those cases, the trigger technology the Primos tripods have is sweet due to almost instant set up. But for stationary blind hunting...yeah, this thing is lit!
As for you Corey D. I don’t know what school you went but in my country, the USA, there’s no D on the end of pan unless your using it in the past tense. As in “ I panned the head around until it was in the right position”.
There is a way to take it off. There's a guy on here that did it and he said he was gonna make a video on it but hasn't yet. Can't think of his name right off!
the only issue you may have is getting the rifle in the grip and tightening it. you'll need to at least hold it with your shoulder or something while you tighten the clamp. other than than you could probably get by with one hand.
I went with just the saddle/clamp adapter rather than the whole rig. But I found my setup had a bit of shift after I let go of my rifle (about 8MOA shift). Just from the flex of various metal parts. Is their tripod head similar in flex? ruclips.net/video/Q4gSvjFqs10/видео.html
the magpul bipod is ok if you're using it on a semi auto platform but i found mine didn't lock down tight enough to stay in the same position when you're manipulating the bolt. its good for the money no doubt but the atlas is on another level.
Buddy of mine has a bog and it seems pretty decent and it weighs 8.5lbs Another great value is a Innorel RT90C. You can get them for ~$300 they weigh 6.3lbs and they can accept alot of the common ballheads and leveling bases that are 75mm (which it comes with a 75mm video bowl and leveling bases) and can even accept up to 100mm leveling bases if you have a 100mm video bowl . I have one with a Feisol CB-60D ballhead and I've been super happy with it, it supports my 23lb comp gun while still being very smooth. There are benefits to the $1k+ tripods like high weight ratings, lightweight (3.2-4.5lbs depending on which one you're looking at), higher quality carbon fiber legs, more durable locking rings that are 1/4 turn, they collapse down to a very small package for their size, and are made in USA (tripods $600 and below are usually made in Asia). They all have their place and it really depends what you're wanting to do with it. For the average hunter or backyard plinker a bog will do just fine If you're a hunter with a little bit larger budget or competitive shooter on a budget and want a modular, light, and rigid tripod, the Innorel is a great choice. If you shoot alot with heavy comp guns or want a super light hunting tripod the higher end tripods may appeal to you.
@@coreyd1474 it wasn't a complaint, you said no one needs a $1k tripod and I was just educating on what different tripods in the different price ranges have to offer and different roles or needs require different tripods.

glad it worked out! for the money its hard to beat these in my opinion.
Got mine yesterday, I was only able to shoot 3" groups standing in 40+ mph winds, but I'll take that in those conditions. Nice product.
can't beat it for the money no doubt.

yea the less weight the better for that for sure.
Got a deer with the carbon fiber Bog and a 12ga shotgun. It was rock solid. Nice review.
yea its really hard to beat these tripods for the money IMO.
@@coreyd1474 It's a tad heavy but it's worth the weight.
@@jpg901c i don't hunt so i haven't carried it around in the woods to notice the weight so its ok for me but i get what you're saying.

@@jpg901c yea i don't blame ya a little large to huck around all day. either way for the money i think its very solid.
I definitely want to see how this does with an Arsenal AK at 300 yards: standing, kneeling, and prone.
probably be just fine
Just got mine.
Its AMAZING. Best deal out there.
right? for the money its hard to beat.
Great video! Would it work in a box blind sitting down? Approximately 3.5x 5 .. of course the chair is in the blind too. Thank you sir
yea i don't see why not.
Ok thanks.., would it work in the 20 degree setting on leg angle snd allow me to shoot in sitting position?
Waiting for mine. Ordered it last week. Got the last 1.
how much did you get it for? i'm selling this one because i got a new one with an arca clamp
149.99+shipping
@@marvinjarratt6971 nice at least you found one in stock!
Nice review. Helped me in deciding to get one.
definitely a good alternative for the money
Did you say pan or pam?
there's a D on the end.

He said pan. You need some good ear protection Tony.
Does the “grip” portion come off to add a ballhead?
You know to be honest I'm not sure. I'm sure if you really wanted to you could
Corey D thank you
@@jarettmoskwa8842 absolutely. Thanks for watching

I have very little use of my left arm due to an injury, can it be set up with one arm?
the only issue you may have is getting the rifle in the grip and tightening it. you'll need to at least hold it with your shoulder or something while you tighten the clamp. other than than you could probably get by with one hand.
If it had a hook on the bottom don’t you think it would impede the bipod from folding?
no i don't think so. i guess it depends on how large the hook is though.

thats weird never heard of anyone's POI shift being off in a tripod.
@@coreyd1474 Not a POI shift. More of a POA shift. There's a spongyness in how it exactly it locks into place after I let go support on the rifle.
I can see getting one in the future. I have been looking at different tripods lately
it is pretty fun to shoot with for sure.
Outstanding
yes
I've got one just like this one and I Love it
it is a very good system for the money thats for sure.
@Corey D yes I would agree 💯 %
I’d like to see you and it in the sitting and prone positions.
haven't got a chance to try that out yet, may today.
Excellent review
Thank you for watching, hope this helps
What scope rings did u go with on your RPR? and what weight?
the ones on this video are the cheap vortex tactical rings i think theyre like 1.2 inch height
What made you switch from the Magpul Bipod??

Very nice!! I been looking at this for my Ruger Rimfire and my 10/22. For the price you really can’t beat it. Nice shooting, 😎

How much weight will this tripod hold?
it held my heaviest rifle at the time pretty easily so i'm sure it'll hold any hunting rifle no problem.
@@coreyd1474 Thanks
Got one yesterday it works great.
great for the money right? i've been seeing a lot of these pop up.
sold !
great for the price.
What's the diameter on the upper leg segments?
no clue
Man I wish they sold a table top version with much shorter legs
It folds down short enough to use as a bipod would probably fit on most tables
Nice I’m going to get one for my 10/22
they are good
Thanks, you talked me into it!
definitely worth the money!
