I typed 'Magnum reaction' half knowing no one would have done one... How pleasantly surprised I was to find that you reacted to my favorite song from them! Thank you for this awesome video! Really nice to share the love of great music with new faces the world over!
I saw them on the Wings Of Heaven tour in '88 in Birmingham. During the intermission after the support band, Magnum's families came onto the Disabled platform where I was, and Bob Catley's Mum Ollie introduced herself. And now at least one member of that party plays in the band. Tamworth's Finest! 🤘 🚫🛏️🦁 (geddit?) 😜 They have a tradition of putting one anti-war song on each album. This one is about World War 1. The most notable is "Les Morts Dansant (The Dancing Dead)".
Saw them at Hammersmith in '88 but in December, then a few more times in the 90s. There is some great songwriting in there and very fine, if understated guitar work.
@@Struthy that would be awesome if you did another vid on them, acouple of my favorite are Kingdom of Maddnesss, Sacred Blood Divine Lies, Sacred Hour, and On a Storytellers Night. Iv still recently found them so I don't know every song but these are pretty good.
One of my favorite bands, totally underrated. Wings of heaven, Vigilante, On a Storyteller's Night, The Eleventh Hour, Chase the Dragon, Goodnight L.A. and the spirit live are the best albums.
Hi although I'm coming pretty late - I appreciate that you discovered one of the most underrated hardrockbands in history. Quite a good song from them although I like "How far Jerusalem" even more or alternatively "Just Like an Arrow" in a qiet mood also "Les Morts Dansant".
Saw this band many times in the 80s here in the UK. I'm a fan of Rush, Genesis, Deep Purple, Zeppelin etc and whilst perhaps not at the Gillan/Plant level, Bob Catley is still one of my favourite rock vocalists. They never put out a bad album in my view, and their stage show was always on point.
Great band with maybe 3 dud tracks across their entire catalogue (which, as you noted, is huge and still growing) and they still deliver live as well, some say Bob's voice is shot, but...erm, not on any of the nights I've heard him! Was supposed to see them again in April, but that's been rescheduled to December, and will surely be rescheduled again any week now, fingers crossed for gigs in 2021...
Thankyou for reviewing the vastly underrated Magnum...epic song ...when i see bands like Journey...marillion...def leppard...boston....bigged up so much.....its fries my brain...these boys were in a different league...just my opinion though.. Thankyou
Time and again I wonder. Maybe 'my' generation has to be the last who has a complete picture of the latest music. Not meant to be derogatory but we had to listen to all of it... Be that the crap, because cassette tape was just become the first thing, other than the horrible tape, listening to radio was the only recourse. Even the rock stations were not yet visible on the horizon. Let alone streamed music. Dang I am getting old...
Literally the most underrated band in existence.
Massively underrated band, had some really great tunes and a great live show.
I like magnum. So many good tracks.

@@Struthy funny thing, just ordered Transitus including shirt, comic and discs. I'll leave them in my will. 🤣
@@Paul_C Classic, I'm gonna change my will & air cannon some crappy merch to attendees now! :)
What about a reaction to Orbit Culture again, their latest release Open eyes are totally brutal. Mvh Stefan
