It seems some of you misunderstood what he meant by “it’s like he was placed in the wrong generation” he’s just saying that his character was that of the salaf so much so that you would think he belonged in that generation. There’s nothing wrong with that statement, we should all strive to be like our righteous predecessors (May Allah be pleased with them all) but we all know the hadith that they are (the Sahaba) the best of generation, and then 2 following generations after.. and Shaykh Ibn Baz (RA) did his best to emulate their character, and May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and widen his grave. Based on this - Ibn Baz made the Fatwa and allowed these troops in - as Saddam was a tyrant at that time - and sought to shed blood of muslims in Saudi - so Allah granted the muslims safety by using the Americans; just as Allah granted assistance to the Prophet by the hands of Mu'taam Bin Adi from his people when Abu Talib died; and from the Jews of Khaybar etc...
Proof? You just quoted the will of Rasulullah(saw) concerning the kufaar residing in the Arabian Peninsula. And the Sahabah carried out that order and expelled the kufaar(who were native to that land) into Iraq & other places. Since there is no recorded evidence that Sahabah disagreed on this issue, it is then the ijmaa of the best generation of the ummah of Prophet Muhamad(pbuh). Would you like to go against the ijmaa of those noble companions? What makes you think Muslims could not have fought Saddam? Saddam died 11 years ago, what are they still doing there? Or is it still a CRISIS SITUATION? Bin Baz was knowledgeable on the books no doubt, but he was ignorant about the practical consequences of his fatwa. In the mid 90's Filipinos working in the landfills of Al-Kharj used to find pornographic magazines dumped there from Prince Sultan airbase. Sometimes even alcoholic bottled. BTW, Ahl ul-Ilm is not a proper handle name for a Muslim. Seeker of knowledge would be appropriate.

theres a mistake in the translation. the shiekh said that bin baz rahimahu ALLAH gave the man 9000 riyal but in the translation its is written 19 000.

Based on this - Ibn Baz made the Fatwa and allowed these troops in - as Saddam was a tyrant at that time - and sought to shed blood of muslims in Saudi - so Allah granted the muslims safety by using the Americans; just as Allah granted assistance to the Prophet by the hands of Mu'taam Bin Adi from his people when Abu Talib died; and from the Jews of Khaybar etc...
Proof? You just quoted the will of Rasulullah(saw) concerning the kufaar residing in the Arabian Peninsula. And the Sahabah carried out that order and expelled the kufaar(who were native to that land) into Iraq & other places. Since there is no recorded evidence that Sahabah disagreed on this issue, it is then the ijmaa of the best generation of the ummah of Prophet Muhamad(pbuh). Would you like to go against the ijmaa of those noble companions?
What makes you think Muslims could not have fought Saddam?
Saddam died 11 years ago, what are they still doing there? Or is it still a CRISIS SITUATION? Bin Baz was knowledgeable on the books no doubt, but he was ignorant about the practical consequences of his fatwa. In the mid 90's Filipinos working in the landfills of Al-Kharj used to find pornographic magazines dumped there from Prince Sultan airbase. Sometimes even alcoholic bottled. BTW, Ahl ul-Ilm is not a proper handle name for a Muslim. Seeker of knowledge would be appropriate.
