Thanks for posting ! I have to replace our pressure tank since the one we had installed in 2006 has rusted through and is leaking. This will be my 1st try at this particular job. I got a lot of good ideas from this.
Like most people I have hardly given two minutes of thought into my well pressure tank and the other components. I just bought a house were the well pump and all of the water system was stripped before I got the house. Now I am forced into becoming an expert. The vid helped.
Where’s your well pump? We have a similar situation with just to much going on and not done correctly. But with ours there’s a well pump connected to all of this. And the thing that traps all the junk? I wish I could have seen that.
How did you learn how to install the tank? And did you install the tank only? I have one that is over 30yrs. I think it needs to be replace. can you tell me where to get help on finding a replacement since this is old? Did you get help with what needed to be done? How long did it take. Did you install an outlet incase power went out?
I learned by watching others including friends. I have some plumbing knowledge for a lifetime of experiences. All those experiences add up. If you have a 30 year old tank and it still works fine then you may not need to replace it. If you think you need to, then go for it. We installed the tanks and some of the lines because they broke during a freeze and we had not gotten out all of the water properly. I didn't have any help doing it. There is power to the unit and the well house but it is not on a generator as this well only serves our garden irrigation and barn. Our house is on a separate rural community well. Hope the video helped you out.
Hi, I really appreciate you do this kind of video. I have a problem with my well pump system. I just got a new well borehole drill and a new Pressure tank with pressure switch, Cycle Stop Valve installed. The water pressure build up to 60psi and cut off fine, but when a valve is open the pressure drains quickly down to zero and shut off the pump. I tried everything to no avail. Is there anything wrong with my system? Unfortunately, it is out of the country and no one has any idea of how it works. Would you happen to know what could be causing the pump to shutdown when a valve is opened? Your kindly response will be very much appreciated.
Thank you for watching. I am sorry, it will be extremely difficult to help you without seeing your system or knowing how you have things set up. I would contact a local water treatment company.
I am sorry, I don't understand what your question is. You said you installed it but then you asked how to correctly install it. The video shows how to install it correctly. Can you be more specific? Thanks.
Good job. Question, can you run an inline pressure tank as an auxiliary tank, without hooking it up with a pressure switch.

You're welcome
Loved your video but what exactly does a 20_40 verses a 30=50
Thank you

Our well pump is submerged in the well. Just a different style of pump.

Should put ball valves before unions not after. You won't be able to isolate that branch to undo the union .

After I adjust tank to 28 psi and everythings hooked up I can just switch it on? Ready to go? Didnt see you switch it on at the end
Yes, absolutely. We turned it on right after that.
Can I use a bigger tank than what we have? Or do we need the same size? And if we can go with the bigger size do we need a bigger pressure switch?
Yes, absolutely you can use a bigger one. Any tank will tell you what pressure switch to use.
We installed a new flotec pressure tank. It about 40 pounds of pressure in it pre installed. What is the correct way to install a new tank.

Good vid thanks
Thank you and thanks for watching
was the rope holding the non glued connections together?
Lol. No that rope is securing the pump. It is tied to the top of the pump and there is excess hanging out the top to pull up the pump.
how did that pipe (coupling) not blow apart if it wasn't glued? it should have blown apart.
10-4
you forgot the check valve on the inlet side.......
There is. I mentioned it is right above the well head. I did not install a new one just used the existing.
No help-. Mine is all copper connections. No pvc
Why waste time with a comment then? Move on and find what you need.
To much B's if you work for me l would fire you
Hahahahahha!
