It may or may not be a good deal I have no idea what you paid for it. But you do realize that it isn't anywhere close to actually being 5000 Watts I assume? It is probably less than 50 watts. That being said, it seems to have decent light output.

A lot of these things are rated as tungsten equivalent although in this case even that seems very optimistic.

@@xoso599 We do. We can measure the total amount of light being emitted and the brightness at various points over the area being illuminated. Most LED lamps will have a rating on the box in lumens (total light ) as well as how much power the lamp uses. You may also see a rating of the color temperature. There a high number, say 5,000 or greater indicates close to daylight (blue). Numbers around 3,000 means close to the old tungsten lamps. Lower numbers mean close to candlelight.(orange). There's also Color Rendition Index which will give a hint to how correct the color of objects will appear when illuminated by that lamp. Some of the instrument to make these measurement are expensive.

@@robroysyd I was making a refence to lumens. Which makes a lot more sense than watts today given the huge range of light sources around and wildly different efficiencies of the different types.
