I forgot how fast this season can move. I appreciate seeing your reactions daily.
If ever there was an episode made for Lorne it was this. We would think he would be in his element, but in The House Always Wins, we can see it is not what it seems. The evil casino boss, manipulating the punters and keeping Lorne as a hostage slave. Great to see the gang turn up in Vegas and free Lorne. With Cordelia still up in the clouds, we are somewhat frustrated that she is not directly involved. Great to see Cordelia back in the end, but with no memory of who the gang are. A fairly decent episode, but I feel S4 of Angel was probably not the best Season, it felt somewhat disjointed. Having said that it does contain a few great stand alone episodes and one particular two parter. Still we have the brilliant S5 to come.
Songs for the Love. Lorne. Gotta love the music in this episode. And I love the fact that Angel knew Elvis.
Is this when Joss Whedon’s one-sided war against Charisma Carpenter begins? I don’t remember, but it might as well have been here.
Vampires can have destinies just like the soulful people, just look at Spike, though Angel'd be even more susceptible thanks to having one I bet.
Hopefully they don't try to put Cordy and Angel back together.... oh boy.
Whedon likes that horrifying employee retention plan. He's used it in at least 2 shows I can think of.

Lorne episodes seem so odd because his character calls for something outside the norm of what this show does regularly.
It's interesting. I don't really dislike Lorne as a character but every Lorne focused episode I'm really just not a huge fan of. I don't know hat it isthey just never quite hit the same way as other characters focused episodes.
