Thank you! The prices are good looking from Cohasset/Scituate, even Plymouth a bit!

It's a great little town with lots of charm. No 28 to deal with, just drive up and down 6A. Easy access coming and going, One of my favorite locations with very little change. Nice clip....

They may have dropped the tax rate by $2 per thousand, but they raised everyone's property value... So you're still paying more in taxes... My friend's property tax on their Forestdale home is currently $11k per year, an almost $2k jump from previous... And for that $11k, not only do you not realize hardly any benefits from it, but the town will no longer be plowing the neighborhood that they live in...
My property taxes in Dennis Port at $6 and change per thousand are definitely more palatable...
Also, your first pronunciation of Jarves St is correct...
Sandwich is definitely a beautiful town, they have managed to keep out all of the big box stores and junk food chains, other than Dunkins, which is definitely a huge plus... Because, unfortunately we have too many Wash-Ashores (tourists that have overstayed their welcome) that move here, then want all the crap here, that they moved here to escape from, ruining the quaintness that was Cape Cod...
Outsiders buying up properties to turn into Airbnb/VRBO get rich schemes... In turn, putting many longstanding local motels out of business... As well as forcing locals to seek housing off Cape, because greed has made year-round rentals practically non-existent here...
Realtors exacerbate the problem by bringing in these out-of-staters many of which buy up properties for the sole purpose of weekly rentals...

New England's state governments replaced manufacturing with taxes?! It's heartbreaking. The exact issue we complained to King George about now we are doing it to our own citizens of the USA. Bring back manufacturing and the property taxes will drop. (Connecticut resident from 1964 till 1984. ) I'll visit New England in the future but never live there again. The states didn't change at all physically but greed and excessive taxes have ruined any chances of middle class folks from living there again.

The Cape is ruined. People have been going to Maine for years now. I’m looking at Nova Scotia.
