I'm gonna be honest... I don't think that's a real needle mover here strategically lol. according to the "Statistical Overview of the Canadian Maple Industry" of 2023, the United States produces 29% of global maple syrup sales anyway, the second biggest producer, only behind Canada. Another important note, from 2022, they make $688,724,000 in revenue, in 2023, it went down to $425,194,000, a huge downtrend. The total addressable market share doesn't seem to be a needle mover for those reasons, and also, since we're the second biggest producers already (Almost 30%). But maybe trump will be more farmer-friendly than Canada and allow us to generate even more money. We have so many ways to make money from Canada , and strategic reasons for why we should if we could, maple syrup is just one of the many reasons.

Price is a misnomer. Gone are the times where you just sell whole swathes of occupied territory. There are citizens who get a say, who have lives organised around being a citizen of Denmark with financial, cultural and family ties. Even if 51% of people were happy to become part of the US. Is it really fair for the other 49% to accept becoming a citizen of a whole different nation with different laws, traditions and norms? I would say no. And you can't put a price on that. This isn't an empty territory.
Tariff on M and C goods is not about “paying less or more for American goods” ( I think that’s what I heard in the video) but rather about how much US government charge the US importer whom buys from M and C. The higher the tariffs the less US buy from M and C and the less volume M and C sell (thus less money to make). It is to reduce the demand for m and c goods

In Canada, the economy is controlled by a handful of oligopolies, so are the governments, there is not enough competition. Canadian currency is very weak and real estate bubble has gotten so big, real estate accounts for 40% of GDP. If Canada becomes the 51 state most of Canadians, except politicians and stake holder of those oligopolies benefit from that. But people are brain washed with nationalism so they can’t see this fact.
Yes, you are right, As a Canadian, I do not remember if they cancel the tariff or not to the US. I just want to add about the 51 state being Canada, in 1861 to 1867. We were in that war. This was already settle back then. Part of our Canadian soldier were in there. In our history books they are call the dirty 50000 soldiers. I am French too, when we visit US, we see them has very different from us.
What has changed that this is such a forbidden thought now? The US would be a tiny country had it not made large land purchases in the past. If a country and its people are willing to become a US state or territory, what's wrong with it? Puerto Rico has had many chances to become its own country like Dominican Republic, they don't want to.
The anchoring concept makes sense considering we can’t really afford even one of those proposed purchases, much less all three. Nor does it seem likely any of them would ever entertain the notion even if offered well over estimated value. Greenland and the canal are too great an asset to the current owners for the same reasons the US would want them, and despite recent disapproval of Canadian governing, Canada has a strong identity and few would ever consider US rule and identity of any capacity. I think we got a fair return on investment in Panama. It was rightfully returned and has made them one of the wealthiest nations in central/south America. They would collapse without it. No single purchase amount could fund enough industry there to compensate. Due to how the canal operates I think it’s equally important that Panama retains control, as they should decide how and when to allocate their freshwater reserves between residents and canal operation. I like the idea of the US generating income in ways other than income tax, but it’s a delicate dance avoiding consumers and businesses footing the bill in the end anyway. Not to mention how economical impact on southern nations tends to increase immigration pressure, costing the US more again. America can come first and still seek more mutually beneficial solutions than we tend to.
Canada started as a joke or should I say a brain fart and he has now convinced himself how important it would be because his apologists started supporting it as a legitimate idea.
Now I think you lean a bit left/liberal more than I would but I feel like you have this a very very very fair and honest review of a tariff plan rather than some shabby political attack.

💼 Tariffs and Their Impact Tariffs are often discussed without addressing a key point: A higher tax on a product, good, or service doesn't guarantee people, businesses, or governments will buy it. 👖 Consumer Behavior Example If you’re shopping for jeans in America and find the local ones to be: Poor quality 👎 Unattractive 😕 Lacking durability 🧵 You might opt for a pair from China, which could offer: Better materials ✅ Longer-lasting wear ⏳ Superior style ✨ Even with a 10%, 15%, or 25% tariff, people may still pay more for quality. 🌍 The Reality of Market Choices Just because something is made in America doesn't guarantee buyers will choose it. Governments, corporations, and wealthy individuals are likely to prioritize quality over patriotism. 💸 Economic Divide Wealthy individuals and corporations may afford higher-quality imports. Lower-income individuals may have no choice but to settle for cheaper, lower-quality goods. 🤔 Key Questions Will the U.S. produce high-quality goods and services? Can businesses afford the exceptional talent required to achieve that quality? 🔄 The Economic Cycle The balance between quality, cost, and demand is an ongoing challenge in the economy. ✌🏿

They definitely made changes to NAFTA but mexico got even better benefits from the new updates so is not like mexico was freaking out don't forget that mexico can always become a member of the BRICS and that's something that the USA will freak out because china and Russia will be inside mexico
so the country that has ZERO airforce, no tanks and can't even protect itself from Cartel and relies solely on the US for protection against foreign force wants to join Brics and let Russia and China in? Yeah right lol at that point C.U.M. will become reality.
So trump made the NAFTA agreement worse and now wants to violate it? Why not just leave it alone
Brics only exists on paper. They don’t even have a currency
The moment Mexico tries to become member of Brics. US special military operation will begin dont be stupid
Thanks for your 5000 word essay. I enjoyed your lecture. Keep it up.

Why stop in Canada? Why not make the UK the 52nd state or the whole EU the 53rd state? No more visas and tariffs.
That would turn into the new world order lmaooo
Ad Africa to that list too 👍

I thought they voted for trump to close borders and stop wars. Hes been talking about everything but what he ran on. Sounds like a way to take attention off of these shortcomings and failures that are loading up.
Greenland will probably willingly vote for it.
As mexican-canadian I can only asked who the fkcu would want to live in that dumpster fire named US?
Look at the border with Mexico. Why do they want to go to the USA?
Quite a lot of mexicans want to…
There are very few Canadians who would ever want to give up what we have for what you have in the US.
You live in a much worse dumpster fire
Why would I want to live in canukistan?
I was suspicious at first but after looking into the actual reasons for acquiring Greenland and Panama, I’m now completely ok with the US acquiring both Greenland and Panama. Canada I’m still 50/50 on.
Bro, love the way you explain and your videos really makes it exciting ❤
As Mexican: as Trump is asking to stop the drug problems, he should stop 🔫🔫traffic to Mexico. That problem is taking thousands of lives here
He never talks about a possible military occupation by the United States... Nor mentioning about changing the name of the gulf of mexico to gulf of america
And when the weapons from the US started to flow also did the violence.
@@epma_2000Well thank Obama.
Well, Trump would do something. But since Mexico has so many corrupt politicians that are ran by the drug cartels. It's hard to get people in to do something. You wouldn't have to worry about all that if we take over mexico. It probably taking us a week to take mexico. If we wanted to.

Irrespective of intent, the major effect of tariffs has historically been higher prices for and lower quality of local products. Combined with lower foreign income, this is fuel for inflation.
I kinda like it when andrei explains everything using magic and cards. Just works way better.
The Panama Canal was already built, bought and paid for by the USA. A recently deceased president ‘gifted’ it back to Panama in the 70s.
Nixon agreed to conclude a new treaty to give control of the Canal back to Panama (Tack-Kissinger agreement), which eventually resulted in the Torrijos-Carter treaties.
If you gifted something, it’s not yours anymore! It doesn’t matter how much you spent, you have no right to have it back!!!
Yes, and that’s why the Panama Canal legally belongs to Panama. You figured it out!
Thank you André for your content, I always appreciate what you do! In regard to Trump, I will never endorse what that man does, as I feel his ulterior motives are more for selfish reasons rather than genuine interests of the American people.

Anchoring is a good negotiation technique but when is military or economic treatment will be viewed as a insult and will probably not work.
So you say threatening is just anchoring and therefor clever. this is then the new way of negotiating? Maybe Canada and Mexico should shout out buying Amerika as it would also make a big economic force? Sorry never heard more trivialization of concerning political behavior.
This was a naive and stupid take video from Andre. He is becoming another mouthpiece of Trumpian nonsense. Like Putin is just anchoring with Ukraine.
What about guns coming into Canada from the US. What's Trump going to do about that?
The best approach for Canada and Denmark-Greenland and Panama is just to ignore the Trump’s boasting.
CIA is coming, with Color revolutions !
Canada needs to join usa
Really canada has no identity
Greenland and Panama Canal maybe but not Canada.
It feels like you left out a lot of information. I wish this could have been a video that wasn't left-sided.
Just because he said that its unjust to take over another nations territory for no reason doesn't make him a liberal
Just a tidbit unrelated; I was thinking yesterday.. "Where has my guy Andrei Jikh been?" Haven't been pushed a video in quite some time. This morning, I got pushed this video. Get out of my head Google!
😂😂😂😂 C.U.M
1 minute of Childish humor then some great information for the rest. My type of video 😂
Only issue is, most of what we get from Canada is in its raw form. Example 60% of our Crude oil comes from Canada that we get at a reduced price and refine it and sell it else where.
16:58 Clever? How unfortunate Andrei.
Trump has a 160 or 165 IQ.
He my have an ego and be bombastic, but he is not stupid.
You spoke about other countries like China, Canada and Mexico imposing tariffs but doesn't the US have tariffs of their own on certain products coming from those countries? Is there actually an imbalance of tariffs or is Trump focusing just on the tariffs the US pays?
Greenland would be worth a heck of a lot more then 500 billion . Has to be at least 10 trillion . The size of the land, the competitive advantage, the resources , can’t be 500 billion lol that’s a joke.
He must have used Democrat estimates. The same ones who priced his mansion, at less than 1/3rd it's value, for trials' evidence.
Lol they know it's in the higher trillions but they're probably releasing figures that will significantly lowball it in order to keep the expected price down 😂
I don't think Denmark government is dumb enough to fall for those tricks though lol
I mean, it's not Zimbabwe
Its also not that big… maps make it look bigger than it is. Smaller than texas. Which is massive i know aha
Its no bigger than Louisiana for christsake
The best we can do is Five bucks because we are taking all the risk in this transaction
As a Canadian dude I say: come try to get us. We will show you how our politeness can be deceiving. 🇨🇦❤

XAI36K$ and ETH together? Bro, this combo feels unstoppable. 15x is just the start 🚀
It’s the American companies that pay the tariffs not the foreign countries.
Stop sitting and watching this nonsense, haha)) I’ve already made x100 with Moonacy protocol 🤑)
Trump thinks he is still in XVIII Century that he can buy countries with people inside😂
What has changed that this is such a forbidden thought now? The US would be a tiny country had it not made large land purchases in the past. If a country and its people are willing to become a US state or territory, what's wrong with it? Puerto Rico has had many chances to become its own country like Dominican Republic, they don't want to.
Is obvious to do, had the same idea in highschool in the early 90's.
great content thanks
He's serious about greenland joking about Canada and china is trying to control the Panama canal, so it would be better if we did.
Panama is breaking the treaty by allowing China to buy up ports around the canal.
Damn its like a puzzle
Canada started as a joke or should I say a brain fart and he has now convinced himself how important it would be because his apologists started supporting it as a legitimate idea.
It would be BEST if Panama controlled the canal through their own damn country.

But let's say Russia was to take over Greenland for its new shipping route through the arctic . Who's Denmark going to call, and at what cost to human life. Denmark would turn to the USA quicker than you could say NATO. Then watch what happens.

💼 Tariffs and Their Impact
Tariffs are often discussed without addressing a key point:
A higher tax on a product, good, or service doesn't guarantee people, businesses, or governments will buy it.
👖 Consumer Behavior Example
If you’re shopping for jeans in America and find the local ones to be:
Poor quality 👎
Unattractive 😕
Lacking durability 🧵
You might opt for a pair from China, which could offer:
Better materials ✅
Longer-lasting wear ⏳
Superior style ✨
Even with a 10%, 15%, or 25% tariff, people may still pay more for quality.
🌍 The Reality of Market Choices
Just because something is made in America doesn't guarantee buyers will choose it.
Governments, corporations, and wealthy individuals are likely to prioritize quality over patriotism.
💸 Economic Divide
Wealthy individuals and corporations may afford higher-quality imports.
Lower-income individuals may have no choice but to settle for cheaper, lower-quality goods.
🤔 Key Questions
Will the U.S. produce high-quality goods and services?
Can businesses afford the exceptional talent required to achieve that quality?
🔄 The Economic Cycle
The balance between quality, cost, and demand is an ongoing challenge in the economy.
✌🏿
The Us doesn't produce anything but DEBT.
Thanks for the update 😮
