CSB in my city is actually doing pretty well. There are 2 outlets and both of them get good enough traffic. One is mostly always full evening to night coz they chose a location with a lot of institutes and businesses. Location and personal experience matters a lot. And yes I’ve talked to the owner coz I’m myself a regular there and they did recover in first year itself

My cousin started his own tea stall just like Chai Bolo, it was in laste 2018.. ek saal baad 8K to 10K daily collection araha tha ... fir lockdown agaya so he closed down. lock down ke baad aalsi pane mai usne start nahi kiya. I tell you by experience until you have a USP that no one can copy just like McD, Dominos, Pizzahut etc don't go for a franchise.

Bro chain nahi, Franchise do models mei run hota hai, FOFO - Franchise Owned Franchise Operated jisme agar koi franchise leta hai uss store run karne ka jimmewari uss owner ka he hita hai, company raw materials aur training deta hai. Dushra FOCO- Franchise Owned Company Operated, jisme franchisee owner ka paisa lagta hai, business company chalata hai unka poora jimmewari. Ye cafes mostly FOFO hai, company inka paisa lagwata hai baki inpe chor deta hai. Jabki McDonald's, KFC, Domino's jitne multinational QSR (Quick Service Restaurants) hai ye sab FOCO model mei run hota hai, company apne hisaab sei apne strategy sei run karta hai, owner ka almost na k barabar interaction rehta hai business mei.

Fact is, i as a Customer will prefer Boiler Tea for Rs 10. I Just want good Product. Ambience isn't essential as i can't waste my time for more than 2 Mins. In franchise, they charge more. It's not about money. When i pay more i feel like Cheated which I can't digest. I can pay lakhs for Charity, but won't pay extra Rs 1 for franchise

It's not true for every franchise business. I have seen the growth of Chai Sutta Bar franchise in my city, Kolkata. Earlier, they have only one outlet but now three franchise outlets are running successfully.
Gwalior ke outlets POS machine use nahi karte. Fhir kehte hai sale nahi ho rahi hai. Of course location matters but the outlet near Hotel Radiance fetches all the MBA Chaiwala crowd kyuki the food quality is not good there(MBA Chaiwala). Whenever I visit in the evening I have found sufficient people there.
In respect to the bill or using POS, when I ask for the bill in both the outlets they are like nahi mill payega yeh issue hai voh issue hai ALWAYS !!
