I use to draw the Zildjian logo on all my cymbals with a Sharpie. My cymbals were actually Zildjians, but they were the older ones that didn't have the painted logo, just the engraved stamp.

That is the reason I take the logos off my cymbals, except for the bottom logos. I use a variety from expensive to cheap, I buy cymbals based on the sound. If I like a PST5 better than a 2002 then that is what I go with. I just cannot stand drummers from the audience coming up to my kit before a show and pre-judging me based on how much cash I have sitting there. There is also no identification on my gigging kit (It is really an old 1993 Export Kit), but I dare anyone to figure this out. Keep up the good work!

Am I wrong? thats about true with guitar amps. have have a solid state half stack Marshall amp one you left, a haf stack tube Marshall amp on your right and make it look as though you're playing thru the tube amp but really play thru the Solid state amp. People will then think the amp is awesome. 99% of drummers are loyal to the death of one brand cymbal or another. I for one have 2 different brand cymbals in my 12 piece Mapex Saturn kit and I'm not ashamed at all. If the cymbal sounds like what you want buy it. Don't worry about brand.
