      Thanks so much! The fractionated coconut oil I use is actually MCT, and that's safe as well :)

    Next would you pleeeease post a water based buildable lip tint. One similar to benetint I think it was called.

    First off, I enjoy the videos and your book! With this recipe I noticed a little bleeding. Did I apply too much or could this be caused by a mistake? This is the first recipe that I've tried.

      Hmm-did you use the thickening clay, or did you substitute it? That particular clay is a very big part of the successful wear of this product.

      The hard sized type with the doe-foot applicator would, but not the squeezy type unless you want a red explosion!

    Hello Marie! I used olive squalane instead of fractionated coconut oil, but I want it in slight creamy form. Should I add wax? What do you recommend?

      I'm afraid slightly creamy but still fluid and anhydrous is a tall order as most of the creamy-ness adding thickeners will settle out of a low viscosity formulation :/

    I read your blog . can i use 50 /50 of magenisum streate and kaloin clay instead of thickening clay

      You can try, but readers have reported not using the thickening clay does result in a serious loss of wear time and I'm suspecting this is due to the loss of the positive charge of the thickening clay.

      Yes, performance wise it sucks! If you can get the thickening clay! It makes a huge difference.

    Are the Red#7 and #33 vegan. And do you have any suggestions on what company does vegan pigments?? 😁

      Yes, they're vegan. The only non-vegan colourant/pigment still in use that I know of is carmine-all the oxides, chromium oxides, FD&Cs are vegan.

    I tried this recipe and the end product came out really oily. What do you suggest i should do to mattify it? Also, i want a watery texture, like benetint, this one is a little oily. Maybe i'm making a mistake somewhere.. helpppp

      Did you change anything? The thickening clay is a big part of the drier touch finish, as is the IPM.

    Would that tiny mixer work for dispersing pigment for lipstick? I’d like to disperse some pigment into TKB film fix for making lipsticks that are long wearing. Thank you 😊

      As long as the mixture isn't too viscous it works really well! Watch out with film fix-I love it but holy moly is it ever drying!

      Humblebee & Me , Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely watch how much I add . My first lipstick turned out pretty decent . It stays on quite well without drying. I used my lil mixer and it works AWESOME. THANK YOU 😊
