Ok last comment lol. Just wanted to add that you can also use dye powder. A teeny tiny bit goes a long way. It will blend in at the end similar to the liquid. As long as it’s water based.

Do you think bamboo stem is more gentle than most other options? I really want a good physical face scrub but most exfoliating things are just too much
I haven't tried bamboo yet, but just wanted to throw this out there, I've found that clays provide extremely gentle physical exfoliation. I find that kaolin is the gentlest, then French, then bentonite, but that would probably vary by supplier and batch. Activated charcoal is just a hair more abrasive than clay. SwiftCraftyMonkey advises against putting clays in hydrous formulas, but there are anhydrous clay-based cleansers out there, like cleansing balms and Humblebee's powdered cleansers.
@@clarewhite3004 Thanks! I make a clay masks that’s Hydrous but I’ve never used it for scrubbing capabilities. I have used sugar, cleansing grains and even pumice. I’m always curious about other physical exfoliants. 💜
like clare said clay does provide very mild exfoliation. so mild you can barely feel it. in my experience bamboo stem powder is the most mild exfoliant you can feel, but clay is so mild you barely can tell. i do have a clay exfoliating scrub recipe here - ruclips.net/video/U74ZTeoYj3I/видео.html
but yea i agree with clare. i also read from swift crafty monkey that clays do not last long in aqueous formulas. so be mindful of that. definitely recommend trying bamboo stem powder though.

@@TaraLeee meant to add that while she does say that my personal experience has been different. I just never used my mask for a scrub. I’m gonna just order bamboo stem powder though. My skin definitely needs both. Occasionally
