Vince was the biggest heel in wrestling and the best too. It was fitting for the story with Steve Austin that he later became champion as well. This was not an egomaniacal action. The fans loved it when Steve could chase the title and win. His reigns weren't long but this didn't matter.

Dude, I love the positivity you bring to the space, it's super refreshing to see. One of the things I love about wresting is that no matter how strange it sounds it's possible, so this is a fun concept. Keep up the good work!
Here's a good one. There was a tag team in the Attitude Era called Kaientai. Their gimmick was they were Japanese, and their promos were dubbed , so what was being said didn't match up to their lip movement like an old Godzilla movie.
Technically he didn't tear the second quad until he tried to get to the back under his own power, because Vince MacMahon doesn't do things in half measures
As a heads up for the zombie lumberjack match...it got a -3/5 stars from Meltzer...yes, NEGATIVE 3 out of 5 Vince winning the Rumble: him and SCSA started at 1 and 2, canceled one another out before number 3 came out, Vince stayed on commentary most of the rest of the match, towards the end Austin comes back in, they eventually end as the last two in the ring (after Vince comes back in from commentary), and Vince throws Austin out, winning the Rumble
Sooooo, the Big Bossman/Al Snow angle was based on an actual event where a manager named Mr. Fuji supposedly killed his neighbors dog and fed it to some wrestlers at a BBQ...
I’m not sure who it was, but someone once did an interview where they said vince himself wrote a storyline where they would make out with Stephanie(which is already somewhat strange but given the business it could maybe be ok), and while they were doing it vince stood like 3 ft away behind the camera “directing” the kiss, having them do it multiple times. The wrestler who did it said the entire time vince was staring and seemed like he enjoyed it
For the Hof I personally have two wings of the hall in my head. One is a legit HoF in which wrestlers and managers of actual talent and acclaim go into , and the other is set aside for the celebrities and clowns involved in the business over the years. Some crossover from one wing to the other but most often the wrestlers wings are strickly reserved for actual WWE employees who have made a significant difference while working for the WWE.
Been waiting for this. You called Shane Shawn lol. Well, on the second one it’s arguable if that was a truth or a lie because there’s conflicting reports. Some say Vince tore both when he tried to slide into the ring, others say he tore one sliding into the ring and the other backstage trying to be a tough guy and walk under his own power.
In regards to the women’s MITB one, Alexa Bliss, Bayley and Liv Morgan all cashed in on the night they won it, Asuka was given the Raw Women’s Title by Becky Lynch (who was going on maternity leave) the night after she won the briefcase and Nikki Cross as Nikki A.S.H. cashed in the night after she won it. Carmella held the briefcase from July 2017 to April 2018 which is the one longer than Iyo’s.
The limo exploding was supposed to be a storyline of the demise of the characters Mr McMahon but that same week or so Chris Benoit murdered his whole family and himself. This Vince dropping the storyline
Yep, Vince won the 1999 Rumble Rumble from entrant number 2, but as you suspected he didn't participate in the match until Austin eliminated the third to last man, and then he eliminated Austin. The next night on Raw he forfeited his victory so that the Rock (who was the champion and aligned with him at the time) wouldn't have to face him at Wrestlemania, but the commissioner who was Shawn Michaels came out and said that means the victory goes to the runner-up which was Austin. So it was all kinda pointless lol.
@@Dporticus I think Vince just wanted to be in the history books as a rumble winner honestly. He has also held both the WWE and ECW world championships. It's fascinating seeing your perspective as a new fan where Vince is this bizarre and nearly mythical figure from wrestlings past.
To be fair, he tore one quad sliding into the ring and then the other after he had already left the ring. At least according to Bruce Prichard. So technically it could be a truth or a lie depending how literally you look at of 😂
When it comes to the Hof it’s highly debated. Most celebrities have legit reasons to be in the hall of fame, that trump matched greatly increased ppv buys. But then you got guys like Drew Kerry.
Actually while in the ring Vince only tore the one Quad. As he was getting to the back he was embarrassed and prideful and didn’t want any help and that’s when he tore his other quad.
Basically, if you hear about a crazy storyline and arent sure if it was really a thing, just remember that vince is the embodiment of insanity and ego so it could be real lol
Not only did Big Boss man feed Al Snow his dog, but they also had a pepper on a pole match (the dog's name was pepper), where they were fighting to see who could grab a bag full of Al Snow's cooked dog first. It was inspired by Mr. Fuji who apparently actually tricked someone into eating their own dog.
As far as how fans react to celebrities being in the HOF. I personally dont mind it. Theres a specific celebrity wing and most of them havent had long term contributions to it, just like a big feud or something

The Big Boss Man did not really feed Big Show his dog in real life.....however, Mr. Fuji, a famous wrestling manager did that as a "rib". Fuji was a notoriously bastard, mean spirited ribber.

That Zombie Lumberjack match was a low point of WWE when it was at its lowest point itself and the world itself was also at its lowest points. most of us like like to pretend it never happened. Just like we try with the pandemic.
I think it’d make these videos more entertaining if after you read each entry you show us your reaction to finding out if they’re true or not with a small clip for each. Don’t know if that’s possible but just a suggestion
On your celebrity hof question for me it depends on the celebrity. Donald trump for example (keeping politics aside) not only had that hair match and those segments on tv but also hosted (I think 2?) manias at his trump towers, which was a bigger deal then because it was pretty early in mania history. I’ve heard wrestlers say he was a big fan and was nice to all the wrestlers too so I think he deserves it. When an actor or something gets in for doing basically nothing I think it sucks, but also they induct like 6-8 people every year and you can’t really call them all “legends” so I get it. They still want it to be exciting but I’d prefer if the people in it were huge names who actually helped either wwe or pro wrestling
I wonder if they’ve just repackaged the superstars as these characters and won’t explain it or will they tell us why Howdy chose to recruit these certain members. Because when the masks come off will we just be like well that’s just Nikki Cross etc.

I'm actually not a big fan of Celebrities joining the Wrestling Hall of Fame. It doesn't make much sense. I also don't believe that they should be doing the Hall of Fame every single year. It's to a point where since they do it so often, they're running out of Legends and ideas for people to join. So they're just letting anyone in. I wouldn't be surprised if soon we see Snoop Dog join the Hall of Fame. They should at least be doing it every 2 to 3 years to preserve spots and making it feel more prestigious.
I feel like people take the God thing out of context. Even in storyline, it’s Vince trolling. He’s feuding with Shawn who’s a devout Christian, so Vince books himself and Shane vs Shawn and God as a way to mock him while putting him in a handicap match. The angle involvedVince mocking Shawn’s Christianity like a segment where he went to a church and did some shenanigans. But yes, the record books will always say Vince beat God lol Maybe Vince’s recent fall is God getting payback. Guess Vince lost the feud. Talk about long term booking.

Trying to explaining the Vince limo explosion would be crazy AF
There was a storyline pitch when Stephanie McMahon was pregnant that it would be revealed that Vince McMahon would be announced as the Father.
Ew
It was highlighted on the Mr. McMahon DVD documentary produced by WWE. Absolutely insane and grow.
Stephanie instantly rejected it, and even more so when Vince then suggested it could be Shane
Even worse when Vince has implied he was a victim of sexual abuse as a child. I swear that man is a walking bag of traumas and madness.
