"Technically" this episode makes no sense to do - this topic is not in the "Trends" - this episode may never get the "Views" .... however one promise to Deshbhakt Family - in 2024 - expect to see more such topics on the channel. Will make more from the heart and less from the head - will make episodes that matter to India - not what may 'work'
Thanks to our Members for allowing me to do this - for trusting us - for motivating us - for keeping us independent.

My father has worked as a teacher and a principal in a higher secondary school (government) in Gujarat for the last 35 years and according to him there were 8 teachers in the school and slowly all retired in the last 20 years and there have been no requirements so far. So now the school is running on temporary teachers only. The case in tribal areas is even worse. I have visited schools where the entire school is running on only 1 teacher, now you can only imagine the education children are getting when 1 teacher is managing 3 classes at the same time.

Hey Akash, today's episode hit close to home. Coming from a privileged background, I had the chance to attend one of the state's top schools. I want to share a story from my school days. In our Telugu class, a friend from my Hyderabadi community, though from a Telugu state, struggled to translate due to our Nizam-influenced background, which wasn't inherently Telugu.
The Telugu teacher made him a laughing stock in class during my 10th-grade year. Despite being in a Telugu-speaking state, many from my community faced language challenges. Frustrated, my friend boldly expressed, "I spent a decade in this school mastering Telugu along with other subjects, yet I struggle to translate a simple Telugu sentence. The remarks made are a reflection of the school's shortcomings, despite its top-ranking status in the state." Unfortunately, his outspokenness led to a month-long suspension for perceived disrespect.
Afterwards, his parents intervened, and he was compelled to apologize to continue attending the school. This incident highlights issues within our education system and the challenges faced by Indian parents, even in top schools in India's fourth-largest city.
It's a reminder of the disparities that may prevail in India's rural areas, where a significant 60% of the total population resides. Despite challenges, stories like this one shed light on the complexities within our educational landscape.

Congratulations for doing this episode. I am an avid follower but have never commented. However, this is too close to my heart to let it pass.
In my opinion this issue should not be taken only with reference to the present report. As a teacher and author who has been observing the changes for the past 28 years, many points need to be considered and resolved in tandem to bring about a positive change. Though not exhaustive, here is a list of some problems and remedies:
    1) Teaching should not be considered as a last career option by meritorious students. If it is made competetive and lucrative, it will attract excellence.
    2) Excellence should not be judged by marks alone but also include evaluation of behavioural skills.
    3) The no detention policy has led to dilution of excellence, complacency in students and disarming teachers. Several batches of children have passed out without basic knowledge.
    4) Accountability of teachers with respect to the results may also have triggered unfair practices.
    5) The role of parents in upholding values and methods taught in school is also important. What is taught in school should not get undone at home and vice versa.
    6) There is immense need for investment in infrastructure of schools. Unless all facilities are provided, recognition should be reviewed.
    7) The strength of classes is too high for even the most sincere teachers to do justice to each child. Better infrastructure and hiring regular teachers should be helpful.
    8) Teachers should be actively involved in making changes to policies regarding education, as they are the ones who can judge whether they can be implemented or not.
    9) Additional duties unrelated to teaching given to educators hinders their motivation and efficiency.
    10) Very importantly, people who genuinely have a passion for the profession and can practice what they preach, should become teachers.

Skills ke liye pay karti hain Companies. Problem ye hain ki, har cheez bohut unsustainable tareeke se ban rahi hain. Har cheez 5-6 saal mein change. Not just in rural India… I live Delhi, I work in an NGO called CRY, and I teach them. They don’t know how to read and write who are in 5th-6th class and one girl was in 8th class who doesn’t know ABCD and 1-20 counting numbers. Some of them go to government schools in Delhi. I would like to ask which government schools in Delhi are giving good quality education? Only 4-5 in posh areas of Delhi. I teach in slum areas. What about those government schools?

So true... as I am a student myself in 10th... quality of teachers nowdays is getting worse...some new teachers joining in my school and others as well are like... some of us 10th students know better than them... and even in my batch there are students who could not read and do basic maths because of some teachers who don't pay attention to them becuase they think as Everybody goes to tuition they can learn there.
Everybody says to students how do you don't even know this but "jab tak sikhaoge nhi toa kaise aayega!?"
Even me, although I can speak, talk and write proper english but I cannot speak in front of stage because of my stage fear, I tried to participate in events to get rid of this fear but the teachers...rather than teaching us they choose the best same students every year to show the glory of school ...😔
Now education is not a sacred work or about teaching but a business🥲
