- Clock 50 is now completed and running really well, it uses the woodenclocks Gravity escapement and runs for 27 hours on the wind. It has 2 driving weights of 750 grams each and the reason for splitting the weight like this is to remove the load from the Front frame and stop Parallelogram distortion. It does add to the complexity of the clock but the benefits in terms of reducing structural burden are worth it.

You out do yourself each and every time you come up with another clock. Truly Great.
1:41 The clocks on the right are: Clock 37 - Starter Clock, Clock 32 - Compound Pendulum, Clock 48 - Compact 24 hour clock (also known as ‘The Crown’) and Clock 43 - Another Compact 24 hour clock, respectively. The two other clocks on the left are: Clock 25 and Clock 50 - Compact 24 hour clock with Gravity Escapement. Also, the clock’s weight appears to be too light.

@@woodenclocks The escapement wheel seemed slow and sometimes didn’t even have enough force to completely lift the gravity escapement arm.
@@algodoomarbleracing it sounds like you need more weight added to the main drive weight.
Beautiful mechanism! )
Звук работы часов восхитителен.
amazing work as always. is there any reason you choose not to use a "watchmaker's four" (IIII instead of IV)?
There is no reason for it, I have used both styles and am a little conflicted. The watchmakers 4 gives the Dial a better balance with both sides looking to have equal weight. and the traditional representation is more generally accepted as it is more commonly seen. So I use both in my designs.
Brian, where the plastic pieces laser cut or scroll saw. What plastic do you recommend?
