  • No need to undo the Allen bolt at the bottom of the forks with this method. Works like a charm!

How much air pressure for heavy off road use

User preference. Generally between 0psi and 14psi. Most seem to like 0psi for off-road use and 14psi for stiffer less nose dive while braking on-road. I find the forks too springy even with my aftermarket springs, so I keep at least 10psi in them. I don't check it very often though! Just go by feel and you'll be fine!

no good. I have a compressor at 125 psi and the seals don't come out doing it this way.

did you take the C clamp off first? my buddies DR400 also would not pop at 100Psi either. we figured it they don't pop at 100 psi they must be good and don't need replacing! good luck.

had air coming around them and the and bottom bolt...they are bad along with the bushings.....stuck a wood dowel down the tube to hold the rod and turned it over and used an impact to remove Allen bolt then popped seals by slamming tubes apart......I'm making a vid for the other one just for when this way doesn't work for people like on mine.
