I am presently in Warsaw Poland and the entire city including the centre is just covered in spray paint. In Canada where I live there is no wall, bridge or overpass that has not been vandalized with spray paint. I wonder what do the Russians do differently to have such clean cities? Do they police or clean more? Do young people in Russia have more respect for property and have something better to do at night? Cheers!
Every building there is a historical monument. They are guarded and there are heavy fines for vandalism. street artists don’t touch the facades, but you can see graffiti in the courtyards. but this is a very cultural city, and there are special art spaces reserved for street artists.

I usually break days down to distances I know, for example, London to Paris, Berlin to Prague, Faro to Lisbon etc etc but those distances mean nothing here. So vast. Good watch. Ride safe 👍

St. Petersburg is probably the most European city in Russia. Russia is a big country, there is a lot of space and, unfortunately, concrete in the cities, and relatively few people live there. Russia, Australia, Canada are the least populated countries on Earth in relation to the area they occupy...
YAMAHA YD-3 Cycle World Road Test ... An item connected directly to the engine (literally) that we particularly liked was a starter/generator. This device cranks-off the engine at a touch of the button, and then, immediately after the engine starts, converts itself into a generator and begins charging the battery. We have heard some people sneer at the electric starter, on principle, as being “sissy”, but in the end such things as push-button starting will do more to popularize motorcycling than all of the sparkling performances in the world. Beÿond any doubt, it makes a motorcycle a much more practical day-in, day-out proposition when you can just walk up to a bike, get on, punch a little button, and then ride away. We may be getting old and lazy; certainly, we don’t need all of that confounded exercise every time we want to get to work in the morning. ...

First of all there is a highway (not the cheapest, but surely the fastest option) from Saint-Petersburg to Moscow directly, but maybe bikes are not permitted to take it? Then even from Tikhvin you can take A-114, wich ius a normal, well maintained road, the one you took (without covering) looks to be a lane connecting far-away villages.
Amazing the generosity of all people around the world. We have to celebrate this more.

Thanks for your explanation. Many cities including Warsaw have designated spaces for graffiti artists but it hasn't solved the vandalism problem.

Traveling on the highway on such a motobike is a punishment, not a pleasure
They shouls put more soviet flags in that garage, in particular in in thier toilet
