People were about to say, "Ameen" to the phone...
Some masajid actually confiscate phones for that reason, because people can't remember to put them on "silent" or just shut them off completely. Forget about "vibrate"...the cell phones nowadays have vibrates that are almost louder than the rings!!!!!

this guy worries too much about little things like having quran as a ringtone like he should be worried about advising on issues of deen, a quran ringtone wasnt stated haram in quran and sunnah so its halal till proven haram

Mo Islam Exactly, that's why it's up to alims to judge upon this issue. Almost all alims reject the idea of islamic ringtones for the right and logic reasons this brother speaks about as well. I would be extremely disturbed when I'm in the bathroom doing my job when suddenly the adhaan or quran comes up. It's a sign of no respect to the holy words of Allah. There is a place and time for every matter. I dont know why people make such a big deal of it. just change the ringtone to simple and case solved. Insha Allah you will be rewarded

Luimarco el Bouchahati i completely agree with you, i try to have a qur'an as a rington but i stopped due to the reasons you just gave. what if i was in a place so inappropriate for the word of Allah to be heard or spoken all because of a ringtone i would feel very disturbed by that.
