I liked and Subscribed. It was to the point and you didn't have to talk. Thanks. People who play don't need the ... First finger on the third fret etc. Great job man.
I subscribed before watching ANY of your videos....simply because you said "subscribe....for no reason" LMAO 😂😂😂 If your videos are half as good as your sense of humor....this is gonna be awesome!!! 👍🤟🎸
So the tutorial was easy to follow, which is a major pro. You’re slow enough to follow without needing to pause, rewind, and play back to see “what the heck did he just do???” like what I need to do with other tutorials. Your tab was easy to read and follow as well, and the chord graph and strum patterns being on screen are huge pluses too. All good things. Now for improvements… I saw someone mentioned that you should put the lyrics on screen to show where the strumming lines up. I agree with that, but didn’t feel it was wildly necessary (which I’ll get to in a bit). One thing that definitely needs work is your audio quality. The original track with the lyrics on it came out a bit staticky, chunky, and splotchy. On the other side of this, you probably slowed it down and couldn’t do much about the loss of quality in doing so. But what do I know? In addition, if you’ve ever seen Matchbox 20 live or if you listen to any of the studio versions, you’ll notice that the guitarists let the chords ring out during most of the verse and chorus. This is why I felt it wasn’t entirely necessary to show where the strumming lines up. There shouldn’t be much of it to line up, given the nature of the song’s simple strum-pattern. Another thing I’d like to point out is that your chords sounded a bit out-of-tune when you put it up to the audio. Probably not by too much, but it becomes more apparent the more you strum. Apart from these improvements, you did a good job. I’d say the ability to teach the material the way you did is more important to have from the start. I’d say lowball 6.5/10, maximum of 7.5/10. Keep up the good work, I’d love to see how you improve.
