It really is just part of Changbin's personality at this point, he's a cute dude. You'll see it in other content outside of their music videos too, same with other groups. - 12:05 Han's representative animal in the Skzoo franchise is a Quokka, which is why Chan said his name instead of the animal. - 14:25 The joke is that side-dish in Korean is 'Ban Chan' so Felix made a pun by saying his favourite 'Ban Chan' is 'Bang Chan'. - 14:41 This song is Miroh - 14:50 This song is 3rd Eye - 15:19 Day 6 are a really popular band, highly recommend checking out their music. - 16:59 Maknae means youngest in Korean - 17:54 This song is Levanter - 18:26 The ears represent I.N's skzoo merch animal, which is a fennec fox. He's not a furry, at least to my knowledge (joke btw) Highly recommend this guide as the next one. JUST SOME VOCAB IF YOU EVER GET CONFUSED!: A "visual" can be like the best looking or the member that fits the korean beauty standards best. A "maknae" is a term is korea that means "the youngest in a group". Maknae is used a lot in kpop, it just means that the person is the youngest in the situation. A "Madnae" is the opposite, madnaes are the oldest members in a group, but it isnt used as much as maknae. A "hyung" is a term of endearment used by younger males to address older men. "Noona" is how a male addresses an older female. "Unnie" is how younger females address older women, and "oppa" is how younger females address older men. They are all used in respect of the older person, while "dongsaeng" is how older people address younger people. Sometimes these honorifics are translated as "bro" or "brother" for hyung, "sis" or "sister" for noona and unnie, and "honey" for oppa as its used often in relationships. When someone says they want to speak casual or without honorifics, they don't want the younger person to use the words unnie, oppa, noona, or hyung with them as its seen as more respectful or uptight to some. That was a lot but I hope it helps!

You asked about the “maknae”, that’s the youngest in the group - in STRAY KIDS that’s I.N; in comparison JK is the maknae of BTS. In both groups the maknaes are doted on and cossetted by the older members, largely because they were very young when they started out training together. Okay! so the furries question; I.N was wearing those ears because at fansigns fans will give the idols little gifts to wear or hold on to ( unfortunately these gifts will be given back or disposed of at the end because their company doesn't want to encounter issues where cameras are put in gifts again ) I don't know much about furries but it's mostly an american thing from what my friends tell me, jokingly fans call skz furries though because they have mascots and all that okay, seungmin is pronounced soongmin, a maknae is the youngest member of a group and typically gets spoiled by the rest of the group you'll hear this a lot too so Hyung is what males use to refer to older males like their brothers or friends JYP entertainment is the label / company that stray kids is under a visual is the most conventionally attractive or most interesting looking member. ANYWAY, this guide is my personal fav, i get that this one is very unupdated. ruclips.net/video/Wvl5MSDif0s/видео.html the guide you watched is outdated and did seungmin so dirty with hardly any info smh
Ok, first thing is, Stray kids got rid of "official positions" before this guide was even made, they felt it was too confining and not really accurate, since they all strive to improve all sides of their talents. S Second, kpop groups have some "positions" that don't make sense immediately to Westerners. One is the position of Leader, another is Visual, and there is also Maknae (which means "youngest"). The position of Leader is a little different than in Western groups, it is often held by the oldest member, but not always, for instance, in BTS RM is the Leader, but he's third oldest. This role has all sorts of responsibilities and the leader has a different type of relationship with the other members; the leader also is the main interface between the group and the company. Bang Chan is definitely a Leader, he basically takes care of everyone he comes across, he gets everyone pointed in the same direction, makes decisions, makes sure all the members are safe, etc. Many Stays like to call him "Best Leader". The position of Visual is way more important in Korea than makes sense to most Westerners. It used to be really common for kpop groups to have at least one member whose main role was just to look good; and this was considered a sufficient contribution to the group. Many Visualsdid not sing or rap and were hidden in the back during the dances. These days that is not common, but it is still a position, usually held by the member who most closely matches the Korean beauty standards. Hyunjin for instance was "street cast", that is, a recruiting agent came up to him on the street, gave him the JYPE card and urged him to audition based only on his looks. He was not a good dancer, rapper or vocalist at that time, he really did get in based on looks and charisma and worked extremely hard to develop actual skills. The Visual position is one that no one in Skz actually wants (except Changbin, and that is mostly a joke). Hyunjin gets it by default because he models and is famous for being pretty. Felix is sometimes also considered a Visual, he was also streetcast during one of JYPE's Australian auditions and only had to do some free style dancing to get in. In contrast, when Chan auditioned, he had to sing, play guitar, dance, play piano, and they had him audition several times, came to his house, and so on. The position of Maknae goes to the youngest member, and basically means their job is to be taken care of, coddled, and so on by all the other members. It is pretty important in Korea, I can't say I understand it very well, but it is actually a real position with real responsibilities and a real function in the group.
Thanks for this detailed explanation. There’s so much we need to learn it almost seems overwhelming. Nothing like the western music scene at all. Thanks again for your response and support 👍

If you want more of a documentary style to The beginnings of Stray Kids, I would actually check out this video on 3Racha, they are the producing team for Stray Kids. Bangchan was the one who put together stray kids and The first ones he brought on were the other two members of 3racha ruclips.net/video/M5g17dFg2wA/видео.html
Completely understand what you're saying. Unfortunately it is hard to find a really good, in depth guide that's not put together by some enamored teen that puts in stupid sh%t. If I was techy I'd try to make one that was helpful and yet also shows their personalities without making them look like idiots... 💁🏼♀️
It's hard to know this as a non-stay, especially while watching it, but there is some misinformation in the video. For example, Bangchan was born in Korea and later moved to Australia. Han knows English because he lived in Malaysia (same as Bangchan) and the positions are really off. I know this is an old video, but back then both Changbin and Han were the Main rappers, (even now, they just have different styles). Han is also a lead vocalist together with I.N. Leeknow was definitely a lead rapper more than sub rapper and Felix's positions should be changed to sub-vocalist lead/sub rapper and lead dancer. Hyunjin is also a lead dancer tgt w Felix. Seungmin is also a sub-rapper. (I get the feeling this editor didn't do their homework) The positions in rank: Main ( ) - for example if you're the main dancer, you lead the dance practices and help coordinate the moves, which leeknow is in charge of Lead ( ) - Great abilities in dance and knows how to execute their bodies (the skz dance line have all different styles in dance) ( ) - This position doesn't usually exist, so I don't know why the editor uses it. sub - ( ) - this position doesn't exist for dancers in kpop, but for vocalists, a sub-vocalist is a person who supports the lead and main vocalist in the song and for rappers, it's that they are better than non-rappers but not as good as a lead rapper.
Please react to another guide, this is not really a good one for newbies it's just fir fun. A really good guide is "This is Stray Kids" intro part 1&2. I personally think It's the best one out there.
Hi! I'm pretty sure the ones recommended are all good ones! (specially the one by teanosuga, 2023) I kind of hate this guide 🤣it's just not good at giving the basic info (and makes me cringe too much) but the others talk more about their music and the talents of each member! Also, I haven't found one that I could say has everything, some facts or examples are always missing/lacking, but some stuff you'll see on your own if you keep listening to their music and people commenting!
This was my first guide as a baby Stay and honestly, I appreciate the person work but I though it was pretty terrible, it focus too much in inside jokes which people may not empathize with without knowing the kids previously and lacks actual info about them, where they come from and their aspirations. I guess one thing about general Eastern Asian culture is that Aegyo/Kawaii type of culture, that people, no matter what their gender or age is, are kind of used to be being "cute" at times. I don't think this really exists in America?
@@TripTipsPodcast Right 😂 It's ok, I guess it's kind of like appreciating a cute animal like a puppy, not really about being childlike. I don't think everyone likes being cute like that, and also I think idols are more accepted to do aegyo in general, though. Sorry I'm going on and on about this 😅

Okay! so the furries question; I.N was wearing those ears because at fansigns fans will give the idols little gifts to wear or hold on to ( unfortunately these gifts will be given back or disposed of at the end because their company doesn't want to encounter issues where cameras are put in gifts again ) I don't know much about furries but it's mostly an american thing from what my friends tell me, jokingly fans call skz furries though because they have mascots and all that
okay, seungmin is pronounced soongmin,
a maknae is the youngest member of a group and typically gets spoiled by the rest of the group
you'll hear this a lot too so Hyung is what males use to refer to older males like their brothers or friends
JYP entertainment is the label / company that stray kids is under
a visual is the most conventionally attractive or most interesting looking member.
ANYWAY, this guide is my personal fav, i get that this one is very unupdated.
ruclips.net/video/Wvl5MSDif0s/видео.html
the guide you watched is outdated and did seungmin so dirty with hardly any info smh
Thanks for all the info! We will be doing another guide soon to them.
I’d suggest react to more stray kids! “Easy”
We will
Ok, first thing is, Stray kids got rid of "official positions" before this guide was even made, they felt it was too confining and not really accurate, since they all strive to improve all sides of their talents. S
Second, kpop groups have some "positions" that don't make sense immediately to Westerners.
God I was hoping with the new year, reactors would finally let this guide go😭💀
It's funny but awfully lacking as a guide as other comments have already said

While the longer teanosuga one is recommended, if you wanted another short one then the one by spookyskz8 is also good but I have a hunch that viewers would enjoy the latest longer version reaction more anyways so upto you!
Thanks for the info.
You gotta know what youre looking for, not just pick at random. theres tones of fun guides like this for BTS too. various guides for various purposes. Ask the fans for specific links, for each group in particular.
We already have a better one we’re working on. We’ll release it soon.
If you want more of a documentary style to The beginnings of Stray Kids, I would actually check out this video on 3Racha, they are the producing team for Stray Kids. Bangchan was the one who put together stray kids and The first ones he brought on were the other two members of 3racha
ruclips.net/video/M5g17dFg2wA/видео.html
It also goes in depth on more of their songwriting process and how they worked on each album for Stray Kids
Ok great. Thanks for the info & links. You are awesome!💜
17:18 maknae means the youngest one
Thanks 😊
Pls when are we expecting another reaction for stray kids guide
We’ll have a better version coming out in a few weeks. We have a list of other video projects we’re working on right now.
What everybody else said. 😁
Lol
Completely understand what you're saying. Unfortunately it is hard to find a really good, in depth guide that's not put together by some enamored teen that puts in stupid sh%t. If I was techy I'd try to make one that was helpful and yet also shows their personalities without making them look like idiots... 💁🏼♀️
Exactly
do some music video of Ikon ( But You ).
We’ll it to our video work list
(I get the feeling this editor didn't do their homework)
The positions in rank:
Main ( ) - for example if you're the main dancer, you lead the dance practices and help coordinate the moves, which leeknow is in charge of
Lead ( ) - Great abilities in dance and knows how to execute their bodies (the skz dance line have all different styles in dance)
( ) - This position doesn't usually exist, so I don't know why the editor uses it.
sub - ( ) - this position doesn't exist for dancers in kpop, but for vocalists, a sub-vocalist is a person who supports the lead and main vocalist in the song and for rappers, it's that they are better than non-rappers but not as good as a lead rapper.
Thanks for all the updated information.
We’re working on a better guide version now. We’ll post it soon.
Thanks for your support 👍👍
@@TripTipsPodcast omg no you're doing fine don't worry
@@acehjs thanks 👍👍
Are you still going to post another guide reaction?😮
Eventually yes.
Bang Chan wasn't born in Australia, he was raised in Australia but was born in South Korea
Thanks for the info
@@TripTipsPodcast You're welcome! Also, a 'visual' is the most handsome of the group by Korean beauty standards.
@@SKZSALLIE
Thanks 😊
Please react to another guide, this is not really a good one for newbies it's just fir fun. A really good guide is "This is Stray Kids" intro part 1&2. I personally think It's the best one out there.
👍😊
@@TripTipsPodcast thank you 😊
Still waiting for a better guide😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Ok just hold your breath 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can y'all watch the other guide of 2022. Please🙏
We’re doing the new 2023 guide
This guide was just for fun it doesn't cover 0.25% of their talents and awards ..it IS not fair BTS guide was longer
We found a better one we’ll react to it soon
Damn chill
@@wonuswife you chill
To whomever suggested this- Why? 💀
We have found better guides from some fans in the comments. We’ll do a better version soon.
Dreamcatcher guide please 🙏🙏
Working on it
I’d definitely recommend this guide for something more in depth, it’s also very recent ruclips.net/video/Wvl5MSDif0s/видео.html
Yes we have a better one we’ll start working on soon.
New version guide 2023 version
We will check it out
👍👍
Please, check out a longer one. This one is old and not very good.
Yes we have a better one we’ll start working on soon.
Your best bet is to ask the viewers the best video of stray kids guide and they will provide a link. This guide isn’t really a guide.
Yea I was annoyed actually I thought it was really going to teach me more of the history of the guys.
Ok thanks 😊
Have you thought about creating a guide that does include everything that is missing?
@@TripTipsPodcast yes 😭, so many times haha, but I've never made a video before so I'm not sure, maybe one day!!
@@naaramoya2592 👍👍
This was my first guide as a baby Stay and honestly, I appreciate the person work but I though it was pretty terrible, it focus too much in inside jokes which people may not empathize with without knowing the kids previously and lacks actual info about them, where they come from and their aspirations. Is fan made so I guess we can't complain but not I guide I would suggest.
Thanks for trying tho
👍👍
I guess one thing about general Eastern Asian culture is that Aegyo/Kawaii type of culture, that people, no matter what their gender or age is, are kind of used to be being "cute" at times. I don't think this really exists in America?
This doesn’t exist over here no.
@DANDJREACT Yeah i feel like westerners are often confused when they first come across the Aegyo culture haha. I can understand that though
@@wolf_f3749
Totally confused 🫤
@@TripTipsPodcast Right 😂 It's ok, I guess it's kind of like appreciating a cute animal like a puppy, not really about being childlike. I don't think everyone likes being cute like that, and also I think idols are more accepted to do aegyo in general, though. Sorry I'm going on and on about this 😅
@@wolf_f3749
We’re learning and understanding more about their culture with each new video we watch. Also, the fans teach us so much as well.
The actual guides go alot longer, this one is just a bit of fun. Here is a good one: ruclips.net/video/dYS2Bf0a3WA/видео.html
Thanks we have the newest 2023 guide. We’ll start working on it soon. Once it’s finished we’ll post it. Thanks 😊💜😊💜
There is a very good "advanced" guide that showcases group music and creative dynamic. Its called "An Advanced Guide to Stray Kids (2022): Teamwork" by SavageKingZ that I highly recommend. It showcases a little more about the groups creation and roles that members have in the group. No aegyo or things like that. Its the most document like guide that I've found to date
We have the new 2023 guide we’re working on now. We’ll post it soon when it’s finished. Thanks 😊
this guide is more like what you looking for, but it's from 2019 so it's not very up to date...
it's called "This Is How Stray Kids Was Formed"
ruclips.net/video/PBuj1l-koVQ/видео.html&ab_channel=InternetsNathan
We’ll save this link and add it to our work list
Thanks 😊
Thank you for the guide, but these short guides is more irritating as they dont really show the true "FULL" potential of the members, so I would say react to both the new guide I found a 10 min video for you to how they were formed. The actual guide is very detailed and have most of their info :)
Their new detailed guide ruclips.net/video/Wvl5MSDif0s/видео.html
How Stray Kids were formed ruclips.net/video/PBuj1l-koVQ/видео.html (only 10min)
the sort guides are pointless as they don't give info on the idols themselves
PS: visual is the main focus/looks of the group, You will see Huynjin at the front of the group the most, but that has now changed
PSS: Maknae is the name for the youngest member of the group
Thanks for the info and the links.
We have the new 2023 guide and we’ll start working on it soon. Once it’s finished we’ll post it. Thanks for your support 😊💜😊💜
@@TripTipsPodcast oh wonderful. they are a little long but so worth it 🫶🏻👊🏻

Pls do a better guide
We will. We were greatly disappointed at the end. Do you have one in mind? With English subs?
We found a better one some fans sent us.
We’ll work on it soon.
This is not a good guide
YES i agree with you
Yea I was really disappointed at the end
With all due respect, the editing of this guide is so cringey 💀
I know they were trying so hard not to cringe in this one😭 I felt uncomfortable watching it.
Trust me this was a tough one to sit through. Some fans have sent us better guides to react to. We’ll work on them soon.

Other people recommended better ones. There aren’t really any from when they were kids. So you won’t really get that. But there are guides that are way better than this.
Yes we have a better one we’ll start working on soon.
Greetings from Germany
Sorry gentlemen, but this guide doesn't even come close to who Stray Kids really are.
You certainly got the wrong guide.
Please try a 2023 or 2024 guide. Long but worth watching and very informative.
