Matt, your music was introduced to me by my brother who now has stopped admiring alternative music for unknown reasons. I was very young when this song came out. I still had no money to buy concert tickets, I was in High school then. Im now in my 30s and have the chance to see you in Manila with the meet and greet. You did great live. Will forever treasure that opportunity.

Mr. Matt has this sweet face of honesty and his joy just exudes. That is my all time favorite song, very beautiful and outstanding always. This gentleman has not aged one bit, he seems like a really good person and so talented .

The part where he paused, so that he could let the audience sing. I was jamming in the car man that was the best.
When you peel away the pop onion, this well crafted song is about a tragic romantic who has finally hit rock bottom emotionally and exhaustively realizes that his woman is broken, addicted to her trauma/ drama and trying to save her has destroyed him in the process.
The intro was legendary and great to sing- a- long together. Best i ever heard..

you guys were my first concert i ever went to. saw you at the taste of champaign some years ago. i don't go to concerts or shows, never been my scene, but when i heard that vertical horizon would be at the taste, i had to go. i remember having so much fun at that show, you guys were so amazing, so wholesome and full of energy for us. i don't know if you realize how much that crowd absolutely loved you guys and that your music defines our childhood, and brings some of our happiest memories. you saved the best two songs for last and i do remember it brought tears to my eyes. those two songs remind me so much of my mom, she loves those songs enough to buy the album. we would listen to them as we drove through the country with my family. thanks for making such great music and thanks for being such an awesome humble performer. your show was great and we the crowd absolutely loved you guys. hope you heard everybody singing along. thank you so much for giving my mom reasons to smile when she was going through such a hard time. all the best to you.
