As an older solo traveler,I learn not to listen to the negative part of my mind,I was in ubud in October and an returning in April.am going to start a RUclips channel so I can show individuals that no matter were we live or visite we should try and connect with other's.Love the human family and I learn to love who I am.your special because ,you have the greatest gift and it's call life.but I love to travel even when no one looks like me or understand .but human behavior and need is the same worldwide.so enjoy your life because one day you'll be no more on this earth.

I totally feel what you're saying, like our minds by default are like dark negative shadows trying to influence us.. I remember feeling so down and being at a cafe in Thailand earlier this year and finally the energy of the environment was so beautiful that it brought me to tears.

Phoebe, you are truly an inspiration. Your channel more than any other travel channel has made me want to start travelling, editing video, and making video myself. You are not too old to do this, you have struck a cord with myself and so many other people, I'm sure. I'm 25, but I have an old soul and I looooove the pace of your videos, what you decide to do in them. If the total number of volcanoes in Indonesia is more than 570 - 600 with different characteristics (on land + in the underwater sea). I hope you have a pleasant trip and have an extraordinary experience while in Indonesia because too many strange places.
Visit one of the volcanoes (Mother biological Indonesia) at least 1 or 2 times, because it is different in all conditions or routes and you can also see other volcanoes than the one you are currently climbing. Today I wore a dress I bought on Sanur beach in late 2019 and its still in good shape.I negotiated the price down to $10 and still have some guilt as I wonder how this older lady survived with her little shop during Covid. It did become a bit of a comedy that day though as another older lady nearby followed me and insisted I also buy from her. I made the big mistake of saying I would be back after looking at her rack of clothes….! They both got their revenge the next morning as we walked along the beach front and I heard a voice in the distance shout “Hello lady you wanna buy??” and then shrieks of laughter from them as we made a quick u-turn 😂😂 ..Thanks Phoebe for another v interesting vid!

I came across your channel today and saw this as the first video and then some other of your Bali Vlogs. I have to compliment you, I really like your videos. The way you cut them, the small extra visual details like things that would catch the eye if you were there, the music, what you choose to put in the frame, the pace etc. Your videos are just great and you are definitely not too old to make Vlogs, on the contrary, I think they are great because you bring something to the table that the kids don't. I also travel alone from time to time and I will probably visit Bali for the first time next year alone. I will use your Vlogs as a reminder on what to see. 👍
You should not worry about what other people think. When a lady says to her husband it's sad you travel alone and have to take selfies, it's really not about you. She's only expressing her own insecurities because she is not strong enough to do so herself. You just make her feel 8 years old and back at the schoolyard again, so she bullies you to feel better herself. Do as the Balinese, just smile.
You do Yoga in the morning sometimes. Focus on your breath, make it slower/deeper and try to coordinate it with your movement. That should influence your Monkey Mind with all the negative self talk. Do meditation as well and try to expand the moments where your mind i not racing to normal activities like your coffee drinking and other everyday things. I often tell people, that if they had a friend that treated them like they talk to themselves, they would not be friends with them anymore. If you wouldn't allow a friend to talk to you like this, why do you accept that you treat yourself this way?

I actually traveled to Ubud and stayed there for 7 days back in 2016. I stayed at the Ubud Wana Resort. I hired a local guide to take me around and saw a lot of what you saw here. Ubud is definitely a very relaxing and chill part of Bali. I'm glad I went there and was happy to see you get off to great start here.

Hey Phoebe, I found your video while researching things to do on my trip to Bali next month. The segment in this video where you had lunch at Murni's really struck me. Every other travel vlogger I've been watching is all about the full-on influencer, "life is perfect", super formulaic style of video. Not knocking that, as I know a lot of work goes into that kind of content, but it's really refreshing to see a video from someone who puts themselves out there as an actual person with real emotions. Like, yeah, of course there are so many beautiful things to see and do in your travels, but it's easy to gloss over the emotional responses (good and bad) that these experiences come with. Putting yourself out there and pushing yourself to be open in this way must be scary and hard sometimes (I know it would be for me), but your relatability is part of what makes your channel so great. The way you craft your videos is truly unique and I'm sure you will continue to be more and more successful with your channel.
It's been a pretty rough year for me (sounds like for you too based on your last few videos - hope you're doing okay). Hopefully I can find some of those little moments of peace that you did in Bali - with some new perspective, I'm looking forward to my trip a lot more now. Thank you for that. Heading to Bali sounds like a great idea! Have you been before? It can be a bit of a sensory overload in Bali if it’s your first time, spots like Thailand can be a good way to transition in or out of it 😊 I think taking a solo trip just for yourself would change your life and heal your heart in so many ways! Great idea to start blogging too - it’s good for the soul. I’m 35 😍

Hiya! Your food looks so good, that drink is amazing just from its colours. Gelato is always good 😊. Tanadewa is a true gem based on the personal touch I saw. The Tenegungan waterfall is a nice place to be. The sounds of water falling makes me always feel so zen. I could listen to it for hours. Your morning views are amazing 😻 that breakfast in the pool is something one can only dream of. I am in desperate need of a spa treatment right now 🥺. That made me so happy to see Ubud again! We went to that waterfall. We got gelato at that place. We woke up to that amazing view of the jungle every morning. You look so chilled out there and how could you not be? I'm really looking forward to the next one. Have a great Christmas!

I usually don’t comment but I wanted to share my personal experience with the Phoebe Lee School of Self Care. I first came upon the little grey box channel from a video she made on my home country Singapore. The things she recommended were so unusual and different from the mass produced influencer factories. A month ago I was in serious need of a break from work and the opportunity arose for a rare few days of leave. ( I work 7 day work weeks) off I went on the self discovery journey with phoebe as my guide
I am not ashamed to say that I have followed her itinerary in this video religiously and I’m typing this in my private pool villa at Tanadewa resort Ubud.. I have also tasted the mango pink smoothie bowl at soul bites and gaya ice cream (pistachio and passion fruit are my faves). I sat at the same spot watching the road in the soul bites just so I could recreate the same experience. Yes I am a fan & julia roberts could never teach me the things I learnt from your video x
I also visited pison cafe (featured in her other video) which was fab though I wisely avoided the monkey forest because I , like Ms Phoebe, am not a fan of those guys..
I have enjoyed the floating breakfast at the Tanadewa resort pool, the tanaspa earth massage and the yoga session in the yoga hut (I was the only guy there apart from the instructor lol) and formed many ‘core memories’ as a result. Love that phrase
I have to go to bed now as I have to get up early to catch the sunrise over those volcanoes tomorrow. 2023 is the year of self care. cheers and take care of yourself all of you and the rest will fall into place !!!!!!

You make such beautiful videos about the places you visit. I don't know you personally but I would say that you are telling the truth I believe you are an introvert because you love reading books alone in an area with less crowd or alone in your room so very like me. I also love that peace and quiet while I read a good book. With your shots I would say you will make a good cinematographer. You capture the beauty of the sceneries as if we are watching a movie. You are a good storyteller, too! I like your adventurous spirit despite being an introvert. You are so beautiful like a Roman Goddess. I love the waterfalls but not the color of the water. Tumalog Falls and Kawasan Falls in Cebu, Philippines are better with blue-green water. Most vloggers love to go the Philippines because they earn more subscribers since majority of Filipinos enjoy watching vlogs most of their free time.

@@travelforphoebe yeah, I am totally so like you in a way. Although I don't get too perfectionist. I want a perfect execution of things by planning ahead of time but I learned that sometimes things don't go as planned but still have good results not just as perfect as I have planned. Setbacks, they are part of our lives and these challenges will just make you more resilient and will enhance your capacity to make Plan B's if the Plan A fails. It's a matter of adapting to what is being presented in front of you!
