Officer Aldine is awesome! We found an injured dog roaming the street by our house, my buddy and his wife took the dog to the vet and they refused to do anything, saying the dog wasn’t injured enough, dog had mange, it’s nails were super long and it was limping, so they brought him back to the house and we gave him some water and some treats, officer Aldine showed up and she said the owner called her on her way over and was coming to get the dog, the owner was a little old lady and the dog was 18 years old. But officer Aldine was so nice and professional and we chatted for a while. Great officer, wish they all took a page out of her playbook
I wish they would come out, I was told that if the dog is mobile they won't come out, this Husky has been in our front yard for 2 days, and can barely walk, I was also told NOT to feed/water it.
If what you noted is true it further proves my point they refuse to do any kind of actual work and investigation, which is a normal part, should be a normal part of their job. It was with me! I gave all 100% of myself for the benefit of all animals. They’re too concerned about looking like cops and doing the jobs that are easy, open and shut. What ended up happening with the dog…?
@@foxglovepearls the vet wouldn’t do anything, animal control was going to take the dog but the owner contacted animal control and they both showed up to the house at the same time. The owner got her dog back.
@@RickLogan after the vet refused to take it my buddy’s wife called animal control and she was on her way to get the dog when the owner called animal control to report her dog missing, the owner pulled up right when animal control did. While waiting for them to get here we gave the dog some water and treats, it was pretty warm that day and the dog was thirsty and drank lots of water and ate the treats. Like I said above he was an old dog, own said he was 18. I told animal control that he wasn’t in the best shape, he had mange and his nails were super long. She said that those weren’t signs of abuse but she would check on it at the owners home periodically. We also told her about a dog down the street that is chained up in the front yard 24/7 with a huge heavy chain and you can see where all the grass is gone from where the chain has worn it down to just dirt. She said 3 hours is the law on how long you can keep a dog chained up outside. And she asked what house because she was gonna go look into it as soon as she was done with us. And I’m positive she did because I drove by two days later and the dog wasn’t chained in the front yard anymore. Now if the owner just moved it to the back yard, that I couldn’t tell you.
That's awesome! I love how you guys are being gentle with this confused dog. Hopefully, it’ll be returned to its owner soon. I also love how you rescued a red-tailed hawk and released it back into the wild.

It’s super easy, they have a drive thru in Modesto, you can make an appt and your dog can get its shots, or chipped without having to leave your vehicle. I took my dog for her rabies shot and got her chipped at the same time. I was in and out in a few minutes and my dog sat right there in the front seat while they did both.
Exactly! I’m a retired animal control officer and the agency I came from prohibited us from looking like police officers/sheriff’s deputies. She looks ridiculous with that duty vest on and the job requires a plethora of physical activities, but not with that on. We wanted our uniforms and gear to look official, but not to the point the public would think we were sworn officers because we were not. When I was on the job the state did not permit ACO’s to be sworn, only non-sworn meaning we were prohibited from carrying a firearm.
@@foxglovepearlsin like 2013 many agencies made the animal control officers wear a vest because there were like 10 animal control officers who were shot by dog owners. I applied for an animal control officer job and its t hru a sheriffs office and they literally deputized you as a deputy sheriff. Make you wear a vest and carry everything except a gun tbh.
You guys wanna look like real peace officers with all that gear, but you are not!!! you wear a taser like its a gun, it is not!!! Look - they way I feel all of you should have peace officers powers and carry real guns. Get the training and be effective

I really enjoy these. Nice change of pace from the normal police videos.
I love her
I adopted two dogs from the Stockton animal shelter
🔥🔥🔥
So she spent her entire shift only doing 3 extremely simple tasks?

How hard is it to chip your pet?

Epernay went tooo far here usual
This group will do simple calls, but when it comes to doing a call that requires due diligence…nope. Zero effort made.
How come animal control officers aren't armed?
They are armed. I saw a taser on their holsters.
