The county-wide Side Show Task Force consisting of the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, Stockton Police Department, CHP Stockton, Manteca, Lathrop, and Tracy Police Department, joined forces for a multi-agency, multi-day Side Show Operation. To give our community a first-hand view of the calls for service and community interactions, we invite you to take a virtual ride along. Get in and buckle up!

It’s totally legal but if cops want to be dicks they can get pressed over the absence of the CARB sticker even though most people simple forget to put it on. All CA legal air filter kits will come with a CARB sticker you’re suppose to place in the engine compartment but most people don’t know what it is and neglect to do it. A cop using basic intelligence could tell it’s a legal kit though these dudes are just pretending they’re mechanics.

Always back the cops and I’m even going to be one here soon but checking vehicles for illegal mods is just beyond me. There’s so much more other stuff to be doing than that. Also some people just need a break and let them know law enforcement isn’t always bad… and we wonder why we get a bad name.
When you get into the game, you’ll quickly understand that moded cars sometimes lead to guns, drugs, felony warrants etc…ya it sounds stupid, but if you have a moded car you know that you could be stopped and if you don’t want to be stopped then be in compliance.
If you actually paid attention he was pointing out there were stickers and other indicators the person was involved with groups that do sideshows. I'm 100% for them getting petty and costing them money that prevents them from being complete dipshits by taking over the streets.

I’ve seen it a hundred times where a completely factory car in Sport mode makes the cop think it has modified exhaust even though it’s completely stock and they write a ticket based on their ignorance. That’s wack.
Using vehicle mods to pull people over to look for more serious crimes is nothing new; there’s a debate about pre-contexual stops - I’m not a huge fan as it just makes the population dislike police since only 1 of 10 people you stop are committing felonies. The other 90% get stopped and harassed for a fishing expedition.

As a former car meet/car show guy myself in Southern California for many years, I can tell you this much. This slideshow bullshit has ruined everything. Cops used to be so chill with us, come park and chat. We tried separating ourselves from those stupid kids but ended up taking the heat because instead of running when cops came we stayed and tried to make peace proving that not all car meet people were bad. Now the slide show shit has gone too far. Thank you all for your daily sacrifice and keeping everyone safe. And please get rid of those slide show kids so real car enthusiasts can enjoy driving their cars without getting in trouble

These officers have it going on!! one of the best ride along videos I have seen. They are very well trained in motor vehicle violations as well. Good job officers.
This is how messed up the country is now 6:00 - a person is caught who has a retail theft warrant for their arrest in Walnut Creek but the police in Walnut Creek refuse to extradite the warrant so the person remains at large even though the person is with other police at this time so therefore if you have a business in Walnut Creek and a person steals from you and another police department catches the person the local police where you have your business do nothing ... this is because the system is overwhelmed because we are not tough on crime and the system rather motivates people to do crime which cause the multiplication of criminals and overwhelms the system for example, as mentioned many people gave false statements but they were not arrested they should have been arrested fined and jailed .. whatever.. but this did not happen.

SR 22s in the state of California are dumb. Like 10 years ago California passed a law that if you drop your insurance company, the insurance company by law has to notify DMV that you no longer have insurance basically we all have an SR 22..🤷🏻♂️
