As a fan of 10 plus years, i was looking forward to dacy and his vision looking forward. I think the culture clash you guys are talking about is abit confusing because i feel like he was willing to blend in with the dons culture. I feel like dacy wasnt supported enough to get his vision through but in stead i feel like the dons management wanted to tell him what to do instead of letting him do his thing.
Knew he was in trouble the first match in charge when he asked Kris to turn the camera off for his team talk. The man just had higher standards of professionalism than the old boys were willing to concede.
So basically SE Dons aren’t really a football club, they care more about the content than actually progressing professionally in football. Got it, so it’s all about the antics, the drama & the shits & giggles, before the football. So now it’s back to everyone having a say & pointing fingers, rather than everyone shutting up when dacey is talking & calling them out for their shit attitude & work ethic. Ok. Dacey dodge a bullet , this one hurt me. Forever a Don though 😔.
Bro I can’t believe as a Don this is your take. You genuinely think we would make a decision with no plan. Sad to see this. But you’ll see bro. We won’t let you down
sounds like YOU guys have the wrong mindset not Dacey. Next club will be lucky to have him. He hasnt gone below Step 3 for a reason. Always looked up to Dons for their spirit, Big Gs team talks/ positive mindset- something I put into my own coaching BUT this is a pub league mindset not County League/Step 6 level mindset. Think thats that for me 🤷♂️
@richisanassy1980 They will never progress if they dont get out of that mindset. Ok maybe this season at step 6 but when they get to Step 5 (Southern counties prem) & beyond then its that professionalism that will progress them or fail them
Really think you dropped the ball on this one. It's admirable that you want to keep the culture that got you this far, but you can't have it both ways. You say you want to progress and grow the club, but at the same time you sack someone who was doing what needed to be done to get you there and educate you in how to get there.
This is the perfect time for you guys to release it, will be an interesting watch. Big up the Dons, people may not like them but they always look after the viewers and keep them in the loop of everything. I for one am supporting this journey all the way
There are levels to coming up from Sunday League to Non League.I feel you were not prepared to take to consequences with it.Professionalism comes in many guises.
If you compare SE Dons to Hashtag, Devs was assistant manager at East Thurrock at step 2 of non league taking a massive step down and hashtag have stuck by him through tough times and now climbed to Step 3, sacking someone who has come from that level is crazy!
Thought the Dons were aiming for the upper echelons... From grass routes to world stage... Dacey (on camera at least) showed the viewers real direction, and management. When a "Manager Affi Manage" he gets sacked. Poor choice
I liked Dacey, I shared his sentiment as far as certain players not being good enough or switching off this is a different level we have to accept that and if we’re not good enough we need changes. Let’s hope this was a good move moving forward for the family. #ANYTHING
Used to like the dons, but these guy's couldn't take an outsider coming in and telling them what to do,they want to run the club the way they want so pointless an outsider coming in not unless he's a yes man.
Massive respect for standing by the culture. It’s the culture that got you here and it’s the culture that will propel you further. You could have the best manager in the world but if the unity and chemistry isn’t there the cracks will begin to show. It’s not all about trying to win to stroke your own ego.. it’s about trying to win to move the dons higher. Fighting for a bigger cause than just yourself. #anythingforpaula is mindset that brought you great success.
Disappointed wouldn’t even cut it. You lot are all about transparency but you can’t even stick to it. Just say it, Dacey was killing the comfort that everyone was used to on Sundays. He had a job and he was doing it, the players didn’t like that it was either Daceys way or no way
You better hope this works out for you lot because dacey seemed like the real deal, but it seems like some of the dons have got some fragile egos. You need to realise some of these players aren't good enough for non-league, and dacey will probably find himself at a more disciplined club with players with better mentalities.
This sums it up for me Hashtag is better than Dons Look at their structure and professionalism and consistency; Dons are all over the place and it’s fucking embarrassing. We lost a top class manager because of some BS
Long time watcher, don't comment all that much. Doubt anyone will care and may seem like a waffle, but anyway. Talked about needing an emergency Doncast to address everything, started by flexing international support, to seeming drunk and relatively happy about everything going on, while also talking about warrior in a garden. Still a supporter but seems like a bit of misdirection or a superiority complex going on right now with what's going on Vs reality. Hope all improves ✌️
You got to make a decision do you want a club for banter and Sunday league vibes or do you actually want to achieve something and be taken serious… me personally I rather see vibes

It’s gonna be hard for someone to come in and think they have the control to do what they want if they don’t have the control, learn to walk before you run.
I actually respect the decision. Maybe right person, wrong time. You gotta be true to what you believe and that's always been the Don's spirit and ethos. People will agree, people will disagree....thats life. I'm there for the next chapter as are many of us
Dacey got the culture I’ve watched for years and he was exactly what u asked for, no yes men was honest said his thoughts and had the passion for something that came in late to the club. Want better for the dons and sacked a manager that would have got promotion, and dropped down cuz he bought into the project. They way u speak about him he didn’t try to change the club just players that r friends, obviously a family club but if a manager wants better the dons should understand that there r sacrifices. Love the dons Anything for Paula
Question I think the boys needed to ask was if the fans would’ve understood where the club was moving. Personally think this was the wrong move boys. The conversation from halftime from the “old guard” against Croydon tells you that you had to back the manager over the players on this one. 🤷🏿♂️
Every club in the entire world “no one is bigger than the club” Se Dons “everyone’s Ego is bigger than the club” Best manager in that league by a country mile and they still fucked it up
Icl I love the Dons. I love the team. I’m sure they know how much I love them because they always see me comment but as a United fan also this is giving me massive United vibes. Feels like is just another case of player power FC. Players can’t hack demands set by the manager and want everything to go there way. I hope this decision doesn’t come back and haunts us. Regardless of all this I will always get behind this team. #UpTheDons !!!
Crazy how this comment section knows the ins and outs of running a non league team and everything that entails. Not to mention what it takes to be successful in that pursuit. Oh and lets not get into how the overwhelming amount of you that know so much about all this must have the answer for how to evolve and progress while not losing the content and the whole roots and foundations of the club. They make the money to provide for the club, themselves and their families through creating football content. How can they progress and keep doing this at the same time if the management isn't on board? Not disputing his quality as a manager but you HAVE to wear the boots that fit.
I get you but I think the point people are making is if they want to progress as a serious club which was the point in the switch to non league then they can’t just focus on views and clicks. Non league is cut throat and you can’t have passengers if you want to progress and some of this team won’t help them progress. If you want clicks and views simply go back to Sunday league and make the content fun.
Yeah I'm the same, everyone in the comments who sees what, 30 minutes of the dons a week? knows exactly the ins and outs and how to get this new club off the ground. It proper annoys me everyone putting their 2 cents in saying they're a joke for doing this or that, who gives a fuck, its their club, let em do what they wanna do, let them focus on the culture and the community over the football, its their prerogative. Entitlement of some people is mad.
@philipreynolds4246 I hear you but man are acting like it's season done, project failed or something.. its November in their first non league season let's give the team a chance to fail before people decide its time to pick football or content. We all in the comments bcuz we watch the dons so if they decided to stop making content or even dropped the levels of the content they do make it would negatively impact the channel and us the viewers would either stop watching completely or tune in just for the "BIG" games. Let's be real the whole of the step 6,5 and 4 would love to be able to do numbers like the dons. It's not the same situation as a Croydon for example so how can it be running by the same rules
The only thing professional about the club is the cameras were not here because the football is world class, it’s the personality’s lad. We don’t care what league your in but you can’t treat Saturdays like Sundays the supporters should be kept separate they get photos after the game not at team talks man
I think the Dons have messed up. Their silence in the comments section screams volumes. I wasn’t hyped for the switch to non-league and now I don’t think I’ll be watching anymore. It’s been such a ride since the days of the yellow jerseys but I miss the days of the Sunday League games and content. I wish you all the best regardless. You’ve inspired many of that I’m sure. Andrew, Paula would be proud.
Anything for the dons ! Anything for Paula . Loving this non league journey! Playing non league myself would love to play for the Dons ! You boys are great role models for your community ! Sky is the limit 🤝
As a Dons fan from the very earliest, I hope they are reading these comments and see that 90 percent of the comments didn’t agree with that decision. Also you guys need to understand, we are real fans now, we want to see the club do as well as you guys. SE Dons have come a long way and I believe the sky is the limit.
How can you want to progress but not change? You barely have a dedicated squad. Dacy needed time to install he’s ethos which could have been done whilst maintaining the Dons heritage. Just my humblest opinion. However like Donny said, if your gut says it’s wrong you have to do what you have to do. Salute
Have been following and supporting the Dons for many years now. This was the wrong move the board - you guys mention in match day videos wanting to play in the FA Cup, the Premier League and winning higher honours and it's actually believable, but when someone gets you on that path/who's serious/means you have let go of that Sunday league mentality you guys made the chop and relieved him of his duties. Really disappointing move from you guys. No better way to finish this comment than this: "Welcome to non league young MEN"
Sounds like the culture is bringing the family from Sunday football through to the league. A manager with a great sunday league record who has no experience of step anything, because thats the culture of the club coming from nothing, no professionalism, just grit and someone with a story in Sunday league or just from the oldskool concrete playground in the blocks. Goodluck lads
"Young in terms of age, but very mature" Seems a bit contradictory. Hope you guys find the direction you guys want to go, this doesn't seem like the greatest decision, but you guys know the club more than we do.
Love the dons, but I can’t believe Andy Ansah has allowed immature leadership to prevail here. JR said it, you lot prioritise content over the football….professional football is not for the dons it seems, until you lot can lead the club in a professional manner. So much waffle that could have been said in a 2 minute video
Always trusting the process 🙏🏼 right or wrong decisions. Ppl stay hating and waiting on your downfall instead of enjoying the journey it eventually all pieces together. Some ppl aren’t meant to always be in your life.
I think it’s to early to have had such a strong gut feeling as that , I would have given him a bit more time to see if you could merge it together with him ,
You say he was demanding too much, yet you've spoken about winning the league at the first attempt, "oh we're only this many promotions away from the prem", to be honest, your ego and your pride will get in the way of you progressing at some point, too many characters around, I believe Dacey was doing the right thing in knocking you back down to earth in a way. If someone else comes in and has a similar mentality, are you gonna get rid of them just as quick? I think there will be much harder times in the future and unless you get rid of your ego's you will fall back down again
Be interesting to see if Dace has an opinion on it. The boys have done so much. If this is a mistake, I am sure they will hold their hands up and put it right. The path we walk is one that is full of bumps. Navigating it is tricky. They will evolve and learn in time. Who knows they could be on to something and this could be the making of them. All the best on the journey lads!
I love the fact that you are totally transparent about the Dacey situation but I think you should have been given a chance to see where his direction could of taken you guys! Yes I am still going to follow the journey and I would have it any other way. #anything
So, lets go back to being a Sunday League outfit, but be premier league with everything business!! Andy Ansah get this organised with Andrew asap or the club wont be in 5 years. What would Sir Alex do if he became your manager tomorrow? Whos paving a pathway? Who's inspiring the team? Who's going to bring in the players? If i play in London and you want me, what are you selling? Remember i dont care about everything like you do, so sell me why i should choose the Dons?? Who is the leader and whats the blueprint to your success
Too much change too soon. Maybe SE Dons need to lower their lofty expectations and enjoy the ride, make mistakes and then progress. Dacey clearly an excellent manager but it was clear from the jump that he had his work cut out in terms of fitting into the culture and being flexible.
Question may have been addressed previously but I haven’t seen it if so. - How come Kris is no longer camera facing? He was hilarious in old episodes and is such a vibe it’s a shame we don’t see him anymore apart from the old second here and there
Think se dons should have followed in hashtag uniteds footsteps they gave you the blueprint on how to move from a RUclips team to a successful non league team, sacking a manager for taking the reins is how you get stuck at the bottom of the pyramid. How long before you guys move back to Sunday league think most se dons fans have accepted the transition from it being a bit of fun to being serious sure there’s a lot of se dons fans upset about this sacking.
How is a new manager with new players not going to disrupt the established colture? You would think it would be easier for Dacey to assimilate rather a new manager and fresh players. It’s your squad, I just watch. I did enjoy the passion and conviction from Dacey. He honestly seemed like a good fit. He was tactically fit, transparent and accountable. The same qualities you speak of in every video. Cheers to you all and good luck on match day. I appreciate the weekly videos.
How was Dacey taking it in the wrong direction I don’t understand? Did you not discuss the direction of the club before bringing him in? Surely you and Dacey both wanted the same thing to get promoted and take the club forward

Sorry but I can’t help but feel like this is a massive mistake, you didn’t even give him chance to work his way into the family and let him grow the family and himself, I hope you’ve got it right but I don’t think you have this time, feels very ego driven
How many times have we heard these bang on about being accountable then go and get rid of the best manager in the league because they think they know better?
I hope you all get the humbling you deserve
Knew Dacey was in trouble from match one when he asked Kris to turn off the camera for his team talk. Madness to sack the guy for being professional when you allegedly want to be a professional club
@@RobJaskulalol literally bro they contradict themselves so much, plus with the egos they have in that club most of em are donnys mates so he’ll listen to them rather than the own players, embarrassing that
Are you surprised Donny is constantly doing some kinda Andrew Tate light chat, the hypocrisy doesn’t surprise me at all
Absolute waffle ... they couldnt handle daceys cut throat even after getting them to where they are now its a joke. They didnt want dacey getting the limelight and want it for themselves for views and clicks
I disagree with the decision to sack Dacey but it's wasn't all about limelight and views, that's just overly cynical thinking.
No it isnt. Their egos are through the roof @watercain2073
@@watercain2073I mean hes not wrong they sacked him cos he couldn’t fit in their so called culture which is then having the cameras around and stuff and wanting non footballers in the team talk
@@abdulsamad3784 saying he doesn't fit in to the culture of the club is completely different from saying they didn't want him getting the limelight and views.
Week of work finished, week of training complete. Time for a spliff and then I get this notification? Beautiful Friday evening
Ohhhh your hard
@ thanks moffat
Same my man, just got in and skinned up😎
Currrrr
We won’t let you down
@@sedonsfchave you not read the comments ??? it’s everyone’s take as a Don. Just accept it you’re not serious about being a non league club.
@@sedonsfc delusional dummies
@@cs22x you’re right. Everyone in the comments agrees that Dacey should have been given more time.
@@sedonsfcthe truth hurts but the truth will set you free my bro facts are facts if everyone’s saying it then it must mean something #bringbackDacey
sounds like YOU guys have the wrong mindset not Dacey. Next club will be lucky to have him. He hasnt gone below Step 3 for a reason.
Always looked up to Dons for their spirit, Big Gs team talks/ positive mindset- something I put into my own coaching BUT this is a pub league mindset not County League/Step 6 level mindset.
Think thats that for me 🤷♂️
Agree with that….
Sunday league cliquey mentality
@richisanassy1980 They will never progress if they dont get out of that mindset. Ok maybe this season at step 6 but when they get to Step 5 (Southern counties prem) & beyond then its that professionalism that will progress them or fail them
that makes no sense.
So you want to be a professional team but with the Sunday league mindset. Good luck with that guys! Guess it will be Sunday again soon.
This is one of the stupidest decision they have made.
Losing a game is more character building than winning continually. It's called a life lesson.
I for one am supporting this journey all the way
What a load of shite. Donny sour his hair isn't as good as Dacey's... Man brought levels.
The vibe, the energy, the production. Levels !!
There are levels to coming up from Sunday League to Non League.I feel you were not prepared to take to consequences with it.Professionalism comes in many guises.
don’t agree with this. if you lot want to become that big club, you got to step away from that sometimes bro. he defo could’ve helped
Lefty is missed,what a player.
#ANYTHING
Darcey had you flying, top of the league. Dropped so you can be in the dugout having drama.
He had a job and he was doing it, the players didn’t like that it was either Daceys way or no way
Very disappointing to see Dacey out. I guess I'll see you guys back on Sundays.
Really enjoyed this podcast, real and authentic. Not afraid to make mistakes to do what they feel is right and matches their values
The comments say it all. South ego dons.
Stupid reason massive L
Monthly doncasts would be great guys. Love to hear the updates from behind the scenes❤
You better hope this works out for you lot because dacey seemed like the real deal, but it seems like some of the dons have got some fragile egos. You need to realise some of these players aren't good enough for non-league, and dacey will probably find himself at a more disciplined club with players with better mentalities.
Love the respect being shown to Dacey even after parting ways. The two different paths analogy made sense to me
This sums it up for me
Hashtag is better than Dons
Look at their structure and professionalism and consistency; Dons are all over the place and it’s fucking embarrassing.
You got to make a decision do you want a club for banter and Sunday league vibes or do you actually want to achieve something and be taken serious… me personally I rather see vibes
really wanted to get the new kits for my birthday in a week and a half, upsetting but cant wait to see them whenever and get them and supporting the club. excited for what's to come
It’s gonna be hard for someone to come in and think they have the control to do what they want if they don’t have the control, learn to walk before you run.
I actually respect the decision. Maybe right person, wrong time. You gotta be true to what you believe and that's always been the Don's spirit and ethos. People will agree, people will disagree....thats life. I'm there for the next chapter as are many of us
This feels like don got butthurt 4 not bein allowed in changing room or dugout. Ego sackin seems like it’s backfirin according to comments
💯 spot on Charlie
Anyone who says Anything for Paula we embrace. Thankyou bro
Question I think the boys needed to ask was if the fans would’ve understood where the club was moving. Personally think this was the wrong move boys. The conversation from halftime from the “old guard” against Croydon tells you that you had to back the manager over the players on this one. 🤷🏿♂️
Every club in the entire world “no one is bigger than the club”
Se Dons “everyone’s Ego is bigger than the club”
Best manager in that league by a country mile and they still fucked it up
Icl I love the Dons.
It won’t come back and haunt us brother.
@ God willing brother 🤲🏽🙏🏽. Let’s go and get that promotion !!!
Came a long way keep pushing lads
@@YaBoy95 you know what fella I agree with you!! Very valid point
Massive egos and no brains.
100
Best way to describe Dons is a Sunday League Non-League Club
Salute
Big up the Dons, been watching for nearly 3 years and never made a comment. Ted Lasso for the next manager of the Dons!!!
No better way to finish this comment than this: "Welcome to non league young MEN"
I’ve been with you guys and your journey from the beginning and I’m here to the end ❤❤
Respect brother
Big up to you Dons for Dreaming high nothing wrong with that and hopefully you'll touch the sky Anything for Paula.🤗
I think it’s to early to have had such a strong gut feeling as that , I would have given him a bit more time to see if you could merge it together with him ,
You need to allow the manager to manage. Dacey was a good manager and I think you’ll miss him.
There’s a reason why Dacey didn’t manage below step 3 before and you are challenging for the league. You couldn’t control him
You say he was demanding too much, yet you've spoken about winning the league at the first attempt, "oh we're only this many promotions away from the prem", to be honest, your ego and your pride will get in the way of you progressing at some point, too many characters around, I believe Dacey was doing the right thing in knocking you back down to earth in a way.
I am 💯 behind the process
Do it your ways boys, I’m so proud to be a Don
And I got told I was the first ever VID Where’s my flowers 😂🤷♂️
#anything
Absoloutely love this. We won’t let you down
I love the fact that you are totally transparent about the Dacey situation but I think you should have been given a chance to see where his direction could of taken you guys!
Yes I am still going to follow the journey and I would have it any other way.
#anything
Match day programmes should be on sale for the worldwide dons who can’t attend games I’m sure people wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for a copy.
He was hilarious in old episodes and is such a vibe it’s a shame we don’t see him anymore apart from the old second here and there
Historically he’s not really been in front of the camera.
Think se dons should have followed in hashtag uniteds footsteps they gave you the blueprint on how to move from a RUclips team to a successful non league team, sacking a manager for taking the reins is how you get stuck at the bottom of the pyramid. How long before you guys move back to Sunday league think most se dons fans have accepted the transition from it being a bit of fun to being serious sure there’s a lot of se dons fans upset about this sacking.
loving this journey! #ANYTHINGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!
Why haven’t the Dons kept their Sunday team? Enter the Dons XI in a league.
