Since 1949, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting has trained some of the most important American actors in New York City with a world-class faculty that believes "growth as an actor and growth as a human being are synonymous." The Studio's mission is to create an environment with the purpose of nurturing theater artists who value humanity, their own and others, as their first and most precious priority while providing art and education to the greater community. The studio has taught such greats as Marlon Brando, Robert DeNiro, Elaine Stritch and Warren Beatty.

Hi Stella Adler Studio! I live in south Florida but I would love to study at your studio in NY. Do you have smaller workshops for a day or two? I was thinking of maybe staying up there for a few weeks to study as well. Do you have programs that are that short?

I have acted all of my life. Living in WV you have slim to no chances to act. So I made my living in timeshare sales. Every day with my customers I turn on the acting. If your not entertaining your audience/customers will tune you out. I have several characters I play. 1) The new guy. 1st day on job 2) The dumb guy. He's easily fooled 3) The pro. (welcome to fantasy island) I love to act. I would do it for free. Good luck to all.

Everything is possible. If thats what you want to do with your life- Do it! you owe it to your soul. Don't put limitations on yourself. You wouldn't wanna do what you are not passionate about for the rest of your life. right? If so- give yourself that chance.

Armando Pérez Hi Armando, this video is actually for the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City. We are not affiliated with the Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles as they are run by a separate organization. However, we are the original studio founded by Stella Adler in 1949 and are run by the Adler family. Our sister studio in Los Angeles is the Art of Acting Studio.

Hello is there a age limit to joining the conservatory? I would love to get into acting by I'm afraid it might be to late to start. I'm 25, but most people who start out in this field are 17 or 18.

Hi Christina! There is no age limit. The actors who are accepted into the Professional Conservatory are usually in their early to mid 20s, but we also have some actors in their 30s and 40s participating in the programs.
