HODGEPODGE LODGE! Thank you for that memory. Jean Worthley, the naturalist who appeared on HPL, came to Hernwood, my elementary school, once, and gave a great presentation. AWESOME.
The child voiceover for the Maryland Center for Public Broadcasting (now Maryland Public Television) is from the popular children's show, "Hodgepodge Lodge" with Jean Worthley. The longtime voice on MPT is Alec Webb, the station's staff announcer.
I was fascinated with this animated logo as a child. A little creepy... in a cool way ;) Does anyone have a recording of "ITV. Division of Instructional Television- Maryland State Department of Education" ?

I don't remember hearing this version before, with a child doing the voice over.
David Turner That's a show I haven't seen in ages, I heard that most of the episodes are lost.
I remember "Hodgepodge Lodge" myself. It was a great way to learn about animals.
They showed that even during the 80s.
@Ian16545 As did Wall Street Week with the late Louis Rukeyser!
@Davidt33 And I'll venture a guess that "Aviation Weather" had this, too.
1972-1976
It’s actually 1970-1979
