So great! Love that I can see this show and learn some of the parts lol. Lmao at 5:22 "Wink, get bitches!" I remember what you're talking about when he winked to the camera after his solo at one of the runs in Lucas Oil I think.
Bleach Man Hey man! Don't get down on yourself. Only 3 years you've been playing and you've got an A above the staff, that's better than I had in the 8th grade. I'm in college now, and trust me when I say your range will improve with age! Once your chops form up, you'll be a-okay (:
slurs & air - thats all it takes. it took me 6 years to get out a solid double C...if you can play the A 1 & 2...then you're on the right partial to pop it man, next time your on an A, try to hold the pitch and slam home 1&2 or the 3rd valve. then use more air. then practice slurs (arrpeggios, octave jumps,pedals.....) then use more air. be constantly focused on moving more air faster, you'll never reach a point where there is "enough air support" thats how we all do it - slurs build the chops and breathing exercises expand the lungs...did Inmention you should use as much air as you possibly humanly can, always????
I can't stop listening I love this so much. I was gonna March Trumpet but this made me wanna March Mellophone so thank you I am making a great choice now
Casey, could you possibly take out the trumpet and write it alone? I am trying to learn some of this and it's hard finding certain parts. Or any other solutions to finding trumpet sheet music to this.
Lol transcribed 2 years before it was even done. 😅 Kudos and you should share that time machine with the rest of us! Just joking around, great job on this!
The entire thing is wrong in a lot of places. It's not going to be completely accurate unless you wanna ask for the sheet music directly from the Bluecoats staff, which they might give, but I highly doubt it. It's still more than accurate enough though.
i cant believe i havent liked this yet ive watched it so many times. currently learning the first trumpet part to convince my band director to let me play trumpet next year. if there's even a marching season next year :/
The transcription is really well done, but I've noticed(after having listened to this a number of times) that in measure 189 beat 3 and measure 197 beat 3 there is clashing that sounds very out of place. I'm not intending to be overly critical, just trying to help out.
What instrument sounds are you using? The standard MIDI sounds or some of the Garritan sounds? I am trying to figure out what instrument sounds to use when using Finale 2014 for transcriptions
This is the standard MIDI setup for Finale, I haven't purchased Garritan or anything like that. I find the regular Finale sounds are pretty decent compared to other programs.
I love this transcription so much, there's one weird thing I kinda noticed though. Around the 1:07 mark when low brass comes in on beat 2, I'm fairly positive that it's a Bb chord in the low brass with the concert A-E figure in the trumpets, instead of the A-D combo the low brass currently has. That being given, that was the only thing I heard that wasn't pretty spot on. Love it!
Im 13 and I can play a high e and I can play most of of the trumpet rhythms in this and some (not all) of the 2015 audition material. I really want to march Bluecoats in the future. Should I audition when I'm 16 or get a year or 2 of open class under my belt first?
im currently a junior 3rd year on trumpet that switched from clarinet for marching season, i comfortably play the G on the space above the staff in our field show and have been told i can hit an A or possibly a B is this below, at or above avg?
How does the first trumpet play so high I'm in 8th, started 5th and I can only play c above staff if I play a scale. Even when I do play it it sounds really igly
Daniel Pasion well most DCI people are in highschool or all ready graduated so of course they can play those those notes, not to mention everyone who attends DCI usually are the best of the best their age
I can see why he played baritone for that one solo instead of trumpet, trumpet kinda cut through all the others violently when it’s supposed to blend in
So great! Love that I can see this show and learn some of the parts lol.
Lmao at 5:22 "Wink, get bitches!" I remember what you're talking about when he winked to the camera after his solo at one of the runs in Lucas Oil I think.
You mean at almost all of the runs at lucas oil 😂
Ya you right lol 😂
He didn't at Semis
No he did
he didnt wink at semi finals only pre lims and finals, i was there all three shows.
"Wink (Get Bitches)" That killed me
Thanks everyone for 100,000 views! You all are amazing, and I'm thankful for your support. There is definitely more on the way.

I can play hot cross buns fast 😏😏👌😤
Hallie Silver damn
Legend
Same
Wow
absolute madman
As a trumpet, 2:25 - 3:10. I can't play past a high A, but only been playing for 3 years. I love how it sounds and I wish I could play like that...
Bleach Man Hey man! Don't get down on yourself. Only 3 years you've been playing and you've got an A above the staff, that's better than I had in the 8th grade. I'm in college now, and trust me when I say your range will improve with age! Once your chops form up, you'll be a-okay (:

Thanks, man.
Thanks so much. I surely will try these techniques out.
yh me too but I play brass 2 and 3 I do and everytime I sometimes give brass 1 a try it's sooo hard
Hey thank you, I really appreciate you working on this for all of us to see, dude you are the best
Daniel Usurin Thank you!
Double G# gets me every time man.
GOT ME TOO! LOL
+Shayne O' Brien LMFAO
+Shayne O' Brien I'm dying lmaoo. Literally my favorite trumpet features of all time btw fantastic job
OMG SHAYNE O BRIEN😉;)
OMG SHAYNE
I never fully realized how hard and fast this was. Mad respect
I love how you can hear the tuba sound clearly.
Thanks a lot for transcribing this show! I really love this show and want to play it so bad and now I could! I appreciate your work :)
This is one of the best transcriptions I’ve seen!! Great job!
Amazing, without a doubt the best one I've seen!
Thanks dude. I've been looking for that Flugelhorn solo for so long
the bone feature and the trombone part before the love song area are so lit
wink, get bitches... that is precisely accurate
I can't stop listening I love this so much. I was gonna March Trumpet but this made me wanna March Mellophone so thank you I am making a great choice now
How's mello going?
I love the bluecoats show music this past season
One easy fix for you - the trombone chords at 7:55 are a D7#9 I believe. The others are parallel to that.
I’d love an audio recording of this
Wheres the bass trombone and euph?
Everything else is pretty good though!
So excited to learn this.
Casey, because of this I love your channel!
Is there a way you could condense it to sheet music of only the baritone parts? if you can i would love if you could link me :)
Same here, send it to me through kik at "ja07son"
I saw them win finals this year at Lucas Oil. It was such a great show
Amazing arrangement, thank you
Truly a masterpiece
i give props to this guy, it mustve taken so long to transcribe this
Casey, could you possibly take out the trumpet and write it alone? I am trying to learn some of this and it's hard finding certain parts. Or any other solutions to finding trumpet sheet music to this.

Dang Casey this is pretty good.
Tuba part is wrong in a lot of places

Haha I saw u sneak that in at 209. I laughed so hard the first time I watched the show and saw him wink.
i cant believe i havent liked this yet ive watched it so many times. currently learning the first trumpet part to convince my band director to let me play trumpet next year. if there's even a marching season next year :/
Do you transcriptions for other people (i.e. if I sent you something to transcribe)?
Ayeeee I’ve only been playing mello for almost 3 months and I was out here sight reading some of the music 🤪
Can u tell me though what program you are using to do this because it's a pretty good program
Transcribed the solos to! great job!
I'm in 9th grade and my range perfectly meets this, I love this piece :D
Gael sure you got the range but does is sound good
Doubt it.. even if you could hit those notes, the question is can you make them sound good?
Dude this is amazing
Mycah Brooks Dude, you are amazing! :D

Awesome thanks!
+BEtrumpet Thanks for watching!

I also have 4.5 yrs experience btw
Wink get bitches killed me
Joe Esquivias I saw DCI Finals and he actually winks! So I died when I saw this...
what program is this I'm looking to do transcriptions and looking for the best of the best program?
Could you email the full score to me? Im making a saxophone choir version out of it in my spare time and the missing tuba part is getting in my way.
And somebody know tne the name of the program to make some creations like that?
im currently a junior 3rd year on trumpet that switched from clarinet for marching season, i comfortably play the G on the space above the staff in our field show and have been told i can hit an A or possibly a B is this below, at or above avg?
3rd year, around avg below, but switched from clarinet pretty good
If it was a full transcription then where it percussion? It seems soo empty without them.
Can you link a download or some way that I can get the music?
I might, if I can, merge the Flugelhorn and Trumpet solos and play them for my school’s talent show. I strive for those high notes.
I liked it... ALOT... But I do wish there were more instrument like the Baritone or percussion parts, but overall, I loved it
Love it!
The beginning 16th note part is dope af
what about the trombone pedal tones at 4:35?
Those were tubas my dude....
Gabriel Frakes no they were bass trombones
Anyone know what happened to the full video of the performance? Ive seen it so many times but cant find it anymore..
Dakotah Bill look for the channel "please don't delete my channel" he uploads all the dci shows
The "Wink" is at 5:22, for anyone trying to find it quickly
This I so much fire
This is insane
what did u use to put the sounds together?
How does the first trumpet play so high I'm in 8th, started 5th and I can only play c above staff if I play a scale. Even when I do play it it sounds really igly
Daniel Pasion well most DCI people are in highschool or all ready graduated so of course they can play those those notes, not to mention everyone who attends DCI usually are the best of the best their age
can you do the blue devils show?
Is their any way we can download this so we can learn parts?
This is a really good transcription! What program did you use?
Liam McManus Thank you my friend! It's Finale 2014.
Casey Stuart - How do you record it on screen like that?
I've been playing trumpet for 8 years and I still can only play around 75% of the trumpet quartet sight reading
What program did you use to write this
Do you know what key signature is because this defiantly isn’t in Bb
Sheepie Shea You’re right. The key signature obviously changes multiple times. I wrote the opener in Bb with accidentals for simplicity’s sake.
I can see why he played baritone for that one solo instead of trumpet, trumpet kinda cut through all the others violently when it’s supposed to blend in
Whats this program you used?
Lol this deserves all the likes
i love that you put wink get bitches on their
You should do The Cavaliers' show!!!
I'm going to be doing multiple shows throughout this year, and that's one I'm looking at!
Thank u man #Bloo
is this available for download?
Say full brass transcription. It's really misleading when you just say full. not hearing the percussion there kinda takes away from the fullness
where's the bass bone part for the ballad and the end feature
where can the sheet music to download?
download link?
This isn't correctly transcripted, especially the opening
Can tell me the fingerings for the part at :35
RicardoL26 for what part lmao
very nice👏👍💪
Wink! (Get bitches)
What program is this
At 5:28 I love the flugelhorn has a note at the top saying get bitxhes
Btw what's the name of the ballad?
You missed a couple parts
What was this made with?
is this a downloadable file?
the show is called "down slide up"
sounds like its transcribed from an early season performance
Where the pit at?
What about percussion?
can u make a download?
6:30 is my favorite part of the show
I love the "Wink (get bitches)"
Dann nice Midi @Casey Stuart
Amazing, but should've made a trombone part
4.35 is trumpet .....????
