No problem. We love promoting fellow Airstream channels and great people (you guys). If you guys make it to South Carolina this winter let us know. - Rick & Lisa
We’ve heard great things about them and considered them in the past, but we have a hard time justifying the price ($900). We’re keeping our options open.
Great video you guys! Hey, tailgate dropped to the beat.....nice touch. 👍😊 Very entertaining and packed full of great information. You are very organized and we really like the storage bin. We need to get some of those parts to have on hand. Well done! - Jim & Michelle
Two things I hate…(1) not having a spare part on hand (2) having a spare part that I can’t find. Safe travels and happy camping. P.S. The Chain Sox are on and working well (upcoming video)
great preps. All very essential. The only one I don't bother with is the propane tank sensors. Have wondered about that, but end of the day, we just run off of one of our tanks until it runs out, and then switch over manually, and then make darn sure to get the empty one refilled before the other one goes empty too, so that we again have the backup spare. The last tank lasted something like 65 nights, so it is not like we are making that switchover very often mind you. Safe travels and enjoy your fall trip.
We did the same thing for years. My problem was remembering which tank I was using between trips. I tried a few different methods and then decided to try out the Mopeka sensors. We’ve been very happy with them. Thanks for watching.
@@thewrightlife lol...yes, I get that for sure. My regulator has the switch on it, so I know that the tank that the switch is pointing to is the live one, and the other one which I leave always off is the spare. Until it is empty and then I switch the indicator to the other tank. Then I just need to remember to get the empty tank filled back up to have as a spare. :) Nothing worse then suddenly realizing both tanks are empty. Looking forward to follow your trip. We take off one week from today for a month or so as well. Looking forward to it.
Many of our summer RV excursions had to be canceled due to family responsibilities we had. We did travel to Europe in July for our anniversary celebration. We are back on the road now enjoying a Fall road trip. Thanks for watching and safe travels.
Brad…we use RV trip wizard for all of our campsite research and travel planning. However it requires a subscription. We also use Allstays, Recreation.gov, and Reserve America. For RV navigation we use Google Maps & Apple Maps. For travel weather along our route we like to use On The Way. Hope this helps Merry Christmas Rick & Lisa
Where did you get that TST shade for your monitor. That looks very useful. Just returned from A long haul in our new Airstream and the sun definitely played havoc on me trying to read the numbers. Thank you
Rick, love your videos…they help us a lot…thank you! Two questions please…First, your video (TPMS MISTAKE!) showed you used 63 PSI as the normal tire pressure. Do you still use that PSI when towing your airstream? Second…where do you store your travel Berkey in the trailer when towing? V/R Frank
Frank…YES, we still tow at 63 psi. It’s worked well for us based on our rig. When towing, the tires warm up and the tire pressure increases to 70 psi. As for the Berkey, Lisa wraps it in a towel and places it in the shower. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and safe travels.
Where did you get the long propane line for the generator to the airstream? Can you provide the URL if it was Amazon? I have the same generator that you do. Thank you!
I got it from Amazon - www.amazon.com/DOZYANT-Pressure-Quick-Connect-Disconnect-Extension/dp/B07W4YY2LS/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=AL00JY7KRR1Q&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.h8nbRkTWvnpGy-yQ5gPPKDM3LKcf_vcJTaITuLtcnGKXcaWkhy3n9_VC3wIx8ONEtHLFZRLO7GhceR85R5JSNbjIGU2nDP5S89ognLjYu1ugxJrGHEINfxKX3VX0RfTz2XabQxyBLs1ABtdm1KNG7iSMtTWX7SYokwBHQHbxLm_bizEQqPiRl3a4-5g6QhKzv4KALKzVMWYvtrg60j7eMQ._ijh9vGBTRoZxZk3Ft5gk7xGTM-hAeJQeDlkZ-zEVOM&dib_tag=se&keywords=25%27+propane+hose&qid=1727782823&sprefix=25%27+prop%2Caps%2C184&sr=8-5
@@thewrightlife thanks. So the line with the regulator that comes with the generator; I don’t have to use if I plug into the airstream quick connect on one end and the generator on the other end?
@@sdanton if it’s the same generator as mine, then you still need to use the regulator that came with the generator. However, you will need to add a quick connect to it to use the longer LPG hose.
Thanks guys for the “shout out” about washing the curtains and mentioning our channel!

You should get the Airkrafter AC vents. They've been a game changer for us. Expensive but worth it for hot weather camping.
We’ve heard great things about them and considered them in the past, but we have a hard time justifying the price ($900). We’re keeping our options open.
That sign in your bathroom!!! 😂😂😂 We look forward to meeting you guys at Alumalina.
Alumalina should be a great time. Looking forward to attending and meeting everyone. Safe travels.

Some would say I have enough spare parts on hand to build a second Airstream. 🤣
After this video, I have serious “Spare Parts Storage Envy”. Looking forward to seeing you guys at Sedalia.

Great review- I will have to check my RUclips- I didn’t see any of your summer excursions 🍻

Honestly we can’t remember where we bought the cover. You might be able to find one Amazon or Techno RV website. Thanks for watching.

Correction - We inflate to 63 psi. As the tires warm up when driving the psi increases to 70 psi.
Thank you Rick...your comment does help. Safe travels!
Are you using the propane outlet on your trailer or hooked to the tanks?
@craig-n1f …we are using the LPG outlet on the Airstream to power the generator (or Blackstone grill)

I think Airstream should have used a larger water drain. I switched mine from plastic to metal but it takes forever because of the small opening.
💯agree…It takes FOREVER to drain the fresh water tank.
