Alice in Chains is my favorite band of all time.
You noticed how Jerry and Layne kept bumping into each other? Listen I’m not religious BUT I do believe that certain things in life were meant to be, fated, destined to happen and can’t be explained, Jerry & Layne were MEANT to meet - I’ll believe that for the rest of my life.
Where do you live? Seattle is not a highly populated city especially then. Young men trying to start bands, were not many people.
It's funny cause he's laughing but his face is not.. actually laughing
His laugh is awesome.
These are two of my favorite people ever.
Thanks for posting this, awesome interview! I love Alice In Chains.
RIP Layne Staley.
Jerry is my hero man
RIP LAYNE AND MIKE
Almost makes me feel like Layne knew from the start that he would be worth the wait. Awsome story!
Thanks I needed to see that to atleast see he LIVED!!
These guys are funny and down to earth. Very cool.
Hang on. Isn't this what they said in the first interiew?
+J BW Yeah, right after 4:00 or 4:25 ish, its exactly the same.
the story of how layne got in the band is so fucking hilarious xD
He’s still the only person I’ve ever heard of being basically bullied and blackmailed into joining a band💀
@@olivialangley7391 what the hell are you talking about?
It’s kind of a joke, but they got him into the band by auditioning the worst singers in his own rehearsal room, and they were PERSISTENT so it’s LIKE getting harassed into joining a band just on account of how persistent they were. It’s still just a joke tho idk
awesome interveiw!
Love these guys...always have, always will
Haha loving this interview, having a few beers on a friday after work, then notice how ridiculously straight Mr Cantrell's right side is... Wow.
Hearing these stories reminds me of how the world was and a time before technology and all-out paranoia crept throughout the nation.
lol, thats what I said word for word to my husband! FYI-the Nona Tapes are awesome, everybody should check them out. The new "AIC 23 documentary" is epic as well. Sean 50 seconds into it, had me cracking up.
I love the story of how they tricked Layne into the band =)
Hell yes, haha, I love it when bands have awesome stories to tell. What ever happened to that? Most bands seem to be either too afraid to tell any good stories these days or just don't have any anymore. Long live Alice In Chains!!!
Is Kinney smoking a joint?
That is the best story and I can see them totally getting on Layne's last nerve!
These is me boys rights heres... Awesome sound! ! ! ! ! !!
Its great ... sometimes i think its offscreen :D
wow i live by burien!
maybe look at Nixon watches. I've seen them at surf contest.

@KeiserMagklaras C'mon man! Jerry's laugh is awesome!
hahahaha "sean kinda came up with the name, FUCK" "FUCK, the band" lol
ohh so diamond lie was jerry's band and they only used that name for a couple gigs. i like the idea of FUCK the band hahha i love hearing stories from them, i could listen all day!
Yeah haha there you go.
wtf with jerry's laugh?
as "sellout" as these people may seem now, they're funny, come on that's finally something that i say is true!
Sounds like butthead, the symbol of the 90's, its perfect.
@MrSplattycakes Old man laugh ;)
