Hey Jason and Eric. Oooh Turkish food. Different. Love grape leaves. Cold 🍆. Yummy. Beet hummus. Love hummus but spicy. Not sure about beets but if it’s mild like you say then 👍🏼. Baklava is 😋. You guys are hard critics 😂. A 9.5 because not enough choices? 😕. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
Manti is central asian in origin. Other Turkic cultures have their own versions, like the Uzbek Manti. It's a Turkic dumpling. Turkish, Greek and Persian Baklava differ in that the Greeks use honey, the Turks use a sugar based syrup and the Persians use Rose Water. Cacik is pronounced (jajik), like the ja in Ja Rule. It's actually different than Tzatziki in that Tzatziki is more creamy and Cacik is more watery generally. It's important to note that the word Yogurt is Turkish in origin as Yogurt is originally from Mesopotamia, where the Oghuz Turks (Seljuks and Ottomans) settled. Due to the colonial period of the Ottomans that spanned almost 500 years across Eastern Europe (the Balkans and Greece), Anatolia (the Caucasus - ie Armenia), North Africa and the Arabic Peninsula, modern day Turkish cuisine essentially is the sum of all these regions. Majority of the shared dishes were born in the Ottoman Palace kitchen where you had cooks from all of these regions working together constantly inventing and reinventing new flavors in order to satisfy the Sultan's appetite. With this in mind, It's more accurate to classify Turkish, Greek, or Armenian, Lebanese, Balkan Cuisines as Anatolian since they all have influenced each other collectively, with only minor deviations based on regional flavors or historic influence. 1 love.
seems very yummy yummmyyyyyy....turkey has the one of the biggest cuisine in the world
What I love the most is that is sharing food. No individual meals. Brings more of a communal vibe to the meal experience.
Never had that kind of food before but looked very good keep the food videos coming
