- I have no idea what I'm doing.
Improvised experimental ambient jam (i.e. weird noises) on the Korg Volca Drum combined with the Zoom Multistomp MS-70CDR.
Recorded 2024-03-11 at 05 : 19.
Struggling with some "harsh noises" (like peaking) here and there. They're difficult to control with the Zoom Multistomp, at least for someone who doesn't know what all the parameters mean and what they control. Hopefully they don't detract too much from the jam.

This is what I love about the humble little Volca Drum, it can get well away from the dreaded techno box sounds and into some real spaces. Your the first person I've come across doing something interesting with it. Well done and thanks.

Thank you! The volcas are definitely neat! Fairly affordable compared to a lot of professional gear, have overall good sounds and versatility, and can be combined together with other volcas and other gear when you expand.

It stays in your head. Would you share the effect chain from the MS? Or is it just the random filter?

I think I used the following effects chain: Particle Reverb, Random Filter, Seq Filter, Filter Delay, Monosynth. Play around with it, it's a lot of fun! Keep the volume low though, as it can easily peak.

Nice jam! It flows beautifully and you’re getting great sounds out of this minimal setup. I have both the zoom and the Volca. I’m pretty familiar with the pedal but still learning the Drum.
Thank you! ❤️ You don't need much gear to create some interesting sounds. I feel like I'm still learning both. The Drum is pretty daunting, but very fun to play with (especially the "randomize" function).
@@MilesJams 100% I made a full track once with only the Volca keys (drums, bass and leads) and made a full album with the korg NTS-1. By the way, are you located in Norway?
