I remember this day, 12/31/79! I was born February 5th, 1970 and I was really sad knowing that the 1970s would be over and we could never repeat it ever again because it was such an incredible decade.
CNR was supposed to appear on an early week of P+, Allen even mentioned he'd be on at the end of the Friday show the week before. For some reason CNR didn't make it. Chris C. on Invision would maybe remember the details, as he worked on P+ during the Ludden years. CNR did do the second week of SUper Password, but CNR admitted on Super Password and on Body Language(going into a commercial over the theme music) he had a harder time on the Password/Pyramid type games than on, say, Match Game.
You really shouldn't use that term too loosely. I loved Allen and Betty, but Allen (unless he repented before he died, is NOT in heaven. And Betty White, as much as I like her, she loves cursing, so unless she repents, she won't be in heaven either (which mean, there's only one other place to go). I just think the term a match made in heaven should only be used for Christians.
Ross Martin was always so so good on gameshows. Loved seeing that :)
He was also a Shakespeare buff and a gifted violinist. Ross Martin was so handsome!!

I didn't know Brett Somers was on any other game show

Who the heck is CNR?
Allen is such a classy gentleman . He and Betty were a match made in heaven . Too bad his life was cut too short.
