I got one saying lifetime license could upgrade for free and if you did purchase it, you could get a refund or exchange the money spent for a years subscription to their effects store. If you sign into Filmora and install 12, it should do it for free if you have a lifetime license. Hope that helps. Lee :)

Why has Wondershare removed features in Filmora 12 vs Filmora 11? For example, I can no longer add custom LUTs from .cube files, I must absolutely create the LUT myself. 1/8 Quality is also no longer present, I assume those features were removed to enable behind the paywall, now that this has been resolved, can we get the features back please? Edit: My apology, I did find how to add LUT now, it just was more obvious before but the feature still exists. As for the 1/8 Quality though, that's gone afaik.

Ok, let’s see! I buy the latest FILMORA for windows, I also buy the cross platform support. Then to be able to use it, I must then buy either the app for iPad, or an Apple laptop to be able to use the cross platform capability! Did I get that correct? Three (3) licenses to use 1 product????
FILMORA SUCKS ! It pisses me off when I see all this Fimora hype! I took advice and purchased a license. OMG - that was a big mistake ! This program (while somewhat useful) is MISSING THE BASICS ! Wondershare put tons of attention of the FX while the most basic stuff suffers. I need to edit 40 transition in one shoot (i.e. change time) = IMPOSSIBLE I want to edit properties of 50 short clips (ie. transparency) = IMPOSSIBLE I want to combine(join 12) clips into one = IMPOSSIBLE I want to export partial timeline (so I can send it for preview) = IMPOSSIBLE I want to zoom In/Out with the keyboard, with the mouse = either IMPOSSIBLE or super jerky I want a fine-tuning of certain value (Up/Down with the cursor key) = IMPOSSIBLE I want to edit grouped clips (i.e. speed) = IMPOSSIBLE I want to .... there is probably much more I cannot do. That is what I discovered just on few weeks... All the features above are available in my old CAMTASIA 2019 and are available in PREMIERE ELEMENTS, RESOLVE (free) and many other programs. I think that Wondershare developers need to change the course and potential buyers should wait until those MAJOR ISSUES are fixed. I like Filmora interface (despite some limitations) and company support is not bad (comparing with others), but FILMORA 12 is not ready for serious use unless you create a Vif from 3-5 video clips (recorded on your own Cam). Access to on-line files is also super slow and should be used only as a backup. I also do not like the paid FX showing up on the GUI list (or at least there should be an option to disable/hide paid FX). The only thing that partially justifies the missing features is Filmora low price, but having (as they claim) 10 million users this company should add those missing features in a matter of weeks. As of January/2023 I do not recommend buying this program. In its current stage FILMORA SUCKS.
