What a coincidence. I just found this app 2 days ago and really wanted to see it's review. Thanks man.
I was looking for some task manager integrated with evernote ('cause I like evernote, even with the high-priced). Thank you!
I recently switched over to Swipes and I really like the way it's working for me. I like being able to focus on only the current tasks and being to isolate tasks by "workspaces". Also, I'm finding that I am using Evernote even more thanks to the integration. That being said, the app needs a little work. Syncing can be slow and there is a small learning curve to making this app work for you. I was able to integrate with Siri thanks to a IFTTT recipe, but it would be nice if Swipes offered this like Omnisync.
+Ashley Shimp Great points! Thanks for sharing with us. I imagine you will see more iOS integration (Siri) as they update the app.
Your Evernote integration tutorial ended abruptly at 9:40 . . . . left me wanting more. . . .
Sara Cameron-Ragazzo Sorry Sara, that was just to show the initial integration, I tried something new in that video with some of the point and click stuff at the end....jury is still out!
So i took a recipe to add a to-do to an Evernote notebook and added the "swipes" tag- now for my do note to add a to-do to Evernote it also creates that task in swipes.
Cool that's good to know I never used that feature before so now I may give it a try
:-)
Looks great , gonna have a go at this. thank you
thank you, i was searching for an alternative to wunderlist. pretty good one!
Niccolò Lepri Let me know if you use it and what you think!
dottotech
Really not bad at all, it is not complete as Wunderlist, but i like the fact that it is way simpler and faster as a personal reminder. I love the way i can set the time after i postponed something, really fast. I prefer a mindmapper like XMind as a project managing software than Wunderlist, so my setup from now on is going to be Evernote (everything), XMind (projects) and Swipes (personal things). Integration at its best!! I love it! thank you for the advice!
I've been using Swipes for about a week now, and I really like it. Honestly I'm kind of tempted to ditch Todoist.
Frank Martin Wow, but what works for you works! It is all about YOUR system!
Not bad as a 'first look' video (which is what you were intending), but a little confusing, probably due to the fact that you are new to swipes. Do you intend to integrate swipes into your normal routine and if so maybe you can do an in depth video at some point.
Thanks for the video, I may try swipes for myself.
ToltecComputer I will be using it for a few weeks.
Really liking this video makes sense
Swipes is certainly not as full featured as other To Do apps, but the Evernote Integration is very cool! Thanks for sharing!
dottotech I hate the way so many To Do apps are not well-designed at all... they don't let you track progress on long-term goals, and instead are basically just digital index cards... they are good for beginners or young people or simple lives...
The really bad thing is that it's fairly easy to write a piece-of-crap app for Android and publish it to the Google Play Store, and call it a "ToDo Manager", and people do it all the time... sucks...
Steve I think the power is swipes is for creatives creating content in evernote.
Started checking new app IFTTT that semilar to zipper fetures. connecting Todolist to Evernote.
It may be a cool Idea for a video about :)
Fridman Michael Great idea, in fact I was on it and we have video coming out next week, on the "Do" apps
***** Yep!
What do you think about Todoist? Maybe one video comparing Todoist vs. Swipes ?
I don't do "comparisons" but I do like ToDoist, it is one of my favorite apps!
Ok Tks.
Alright thank you so much !!
And be sure that I saw a lot of your videos and I learnded a lot from them I did learnded from them
Anyway thank you again
And I hope for you good luck in all your life (: !!!!
So do you know what does this work mean
شكرآ جزيلا
jabr kamhed Thanks Jabr!
Hi
Thank you - Swipe\Evernote looks good, but the end of the Video got cut off. So confusing, so many products. I use IQTELL, Evernote, and Things extensively. But now I'm thinking of replacing Things with Swipe because of the tie in with Evernote. But not sure if Swipes is as good as Things.
Thom Horton I would say Swipe is not as full featured, as Things
I agree, but just for reminder, and especially with the tie in to Evernote is powerful.
I don't like that it imports note title as tasks.
I would prefer note title as category and tasks are the check voices
Can you add a group of people to share and contribute to a project?
Suggestions on how to use outlook mail with this? I am usinG Outlook email, tasks and notes in Evernote.
Hello, I have been using Swipes since 3 months and I really like it. The problem is that when I use Evernote (Premium) - the Mac desktop appl., it doesn't synchronize with Swipes. Synchronizing Evernote with Swipes on my Iphone is no problem. Do you know how to solve this problem on my lap-desktop?. Greetings Frits V.
Frits Volmuller Sorry Fritz, this sounds like an issue you need to bring to Swipes, sync issues are the most frustrating of all!
Which calendar do you use for your iPhone 6?
Cynthia Mallia Sunrise Calendat, I have a video on it!
Signed up after confirming they had an android client (or at least will, it's in Beta apparently and wasn't clear whether they'd send an email when the final version was available or grant access to the beta version.) Given my love of Evernote I can't help but want to experiment with this.
Just saw that the android client should be launching this month! So excited. :D
Frank Martin Let us know how you like it when you test it!
So Mr. How can you tell or explain about socrative can you do it please because I want to know about it.
jabr kamhed It looks like an interesting tool, I am not sure there is much I can do to demonstrate it on this channel however, as it seems to be a classroom tool which is difficult for me to showcase.
Considering that Swipes app die, do you have another similar alternative task manager app? I used Swipes daily and now is down.
Ricardo Sandoval S. That is a shame, this application i really liked.
I heard that SWIPES app is about to be discontinuous. Is it true? Did you hear anything about that? Tks
I've not heard anything about that yet
Sorry, but the only Todo App to work great with Evernote is Nozbe. The functionality of having the checkboxes as tasks in Swipes is great without doubt, but functionality is so limited.....
+aceqman I disagree the "only" app! I agree Nozbe is great, BUT not for everyone, and for some this simple feature makes all the difference in the world.
There re way too many options for any one to be "best" but we can all make the option we choose "best for us" by mastering it, which sounds like how you have grown to trust and use Nozbe.
I can not seem to get them(andriod phone, and my windows laptop to sync...I install swipes(web version) on my laptop (windows pc)....and it shows up on my andriod phone...nothing seems to match or sync right. When I am on the laptop trying to access the sync button on swipes control panel nothing happens. Help please and thanks!
+Angelina Gargano~Mountain River Records You need to deal with Swipe for this, It is beyond my ability to help you.
+dottotech well thanks have a good day
I’m sorry. I’ve only watched you maybe once before but this is garbage. I ended up with swipes on my device a while ago and quickly discounted it. That you find value in this app. Is peculiar at best. There are tons of individual task management apps that miles better. As an example, if you just want a simple task manage Clear is fantastic.
There is something very similar for Android/Blackberry. Then you mentioned Todoist a fantastic cross platform app that works extremely well for the individual. My combo - Omnifocus with Clear. Soon I’m switching that to Todoist as I’ll need robust cross platform.
I like Evernote but you’re pushing it beyond it’s primary and well designed function. You need to get a grip and call a spade a spade and not do something for technologies sake. That doesn’t help anyone.
Kerry Dawson I see some shortcomings in Swipes, and it has not become an everyday tool, but it is hardly "garbage"
I demonstrate many products, some are better than others. Yes Clear is excellent as is ToDoist and Trello and Asana and many more. No one solution is everything.
I take issue with your comment that I push Evernote too far, and I "need to get a grip" you have admittedly watched one of my videos, so your comment comes from a place of ignorance., I work hard to show many ways to use tools and open up new ways of doing things. I assure you I have a firm "Grip"
+Kerry Dawson Count me in as one of the peculiar. Seems you truly don't know what you want from a GTD process (not app, but process) as you are allowing apps to define your process. "Hmmm...yesterday I tried Swipes, today I'm using clear, tomorrow I'm going to try ToDoIst."
You have "watched him maybe once before"? Then you should maybe watch a few more before commenting.

Swipes is insecure
