Thank you so much. I wish someone would address the problems with Pintrest pictures. I've discussed this with other cake artists and it's getting out of hand. I do have boards on Pintrest but what I'm talking about are people spend hours looking at cakes that have been airbrushed, professionally photographed, and are very high end and croak when you tell them....'well you're looking at a $1500 cake there'. #1 they don't understand the work involved and #2 they don't believe your pricing. I have lost several orders because of this. I don't know what they end up doing but I do have a policy now that in order to give you an estimate, you have to fill out a form. Some people are very rude: phone call: how much is a cake for 100 people....me: there are several questions I need answered before I can give you an estimate.....slam down the phone. I know people like that are fishing and it doesn't bother me as much any more after 12 years..lol I've wasted hours figuring things out from emails with pictures attached and never heard back. Learn as you go...and you don't need every order that asks!
