Just picked up my first Glidecam and vest rig. Thanks for the video, I was trying to figure out how I could mount my Atimos Shinobi at the base and not eff up the balance of the sled.
Nice set up. I haven't seenany people do this without going full on Steadicam and body brace. I'm going to try this on my poor man's glidecam and Atomos Ninja 2. Only problem is I'll be relying in the Ninja for focus peaking so I'll be looking down a lot!
I've just done a steadicam course and it's a very similar set up. You do tend to be looking down a lot at the monitor but by god it puts a lot more stress on the legs!
Was looking for that solution. Nicely done. Thinking about setting up the new GH5 and Shogun Inferno with the Glidecam. Any results video or remarks on using it?
If you watch this series of BTS ( ruclips.net/video/-NIW1BM5k0c/видео.html ) then you can see a few shots but the film isn't out yet so you wont see the full results. If you'd like to see more then I could just upload some of the shots in their entirety and talk about how I pulled off the shot if that would help?
Yeah that would be really awesome, if you have the time for it of course. My main question is: doesn't the pole of the glidecam get in the way of properly looking/tapping at your screen while using it in your shot? Cheers! Really like your explanation/whats in the bag videos!
Hi, how's it going? I was wondering if you could tell me if you have issues with the base plate for your tripod or rig getting in the way of being able to mount this easily on your glidecam? I have a Gini rig and I was wondering if that's going to create problems and if I will have to strip off all the baseplates
I use these manfrotto quick release plates goo.gl/pH1ow3 I find them quicker to work with on the glidecam than the sliding plates, it's also more accurate for balance
Hey Vanessa, I'm using the Manfrotto Superclamp ( amzn.to/2pa5zjb ) to attach to the bottom of the pole and and Ram mount socket ( amzn.to/2pahkpR ) with two of these amzn.to/2paexNu
+Samuel Befekadu most people could do a few 30second long takes but I've been going to the gym for the past 5 years to train my body to do this very thing so I can go all day
This Rig is amazing!!!!, it's crazy I never thought of something like this.
Thanks, the glidecam is definitely adaptable

Gimbals definitely have their place and can get some truly unique shots. However, I can't see it replacing my Glidecam.
I moved into Steadicam about 3 years ago as I've always loved the feeling of operating that comes from glidecam/steadicam
@@curlsoncamera No Apps, no batteries, and if you use a vest and arm combo - no blasted forearms after 20 minutes.
excellent set up/rig man, great video 👍🏻
Nat Johns thanks Nat, anything further you'd like to know then just drop us a comment
nice rig setup, now lets see some fly shots, ...trying to set mine up with inferno and sony ax2000 or nx3.thanx.
I just sold the a7s and have upgrade to the steadicam M1 for cinema cameras. I'm releasing a video tomorrow introducing it.
Hey mate. It's really nice video. Could you please tell me, what is the full weight of the rig with a camera? Thank you.

Hell yeah! This is a beautiful and well organized set up joining A7S and Glidecam! Fly EZ, dude! Peace hahaha :D
What monitor mount is that?
I think I just clamped it on with a manfrotto super clamp and a magic arm

+Being Bharathraj thanks dude

List if equipment used? Mattebox, cage, rails, top handle? Thanks!
+James Clarke as mentioned in the video is all small rig and the bright tangerine misfit atom
Nice video!
Is that the Rode Micro on the A7Sii, thinking of getting one for my iPhone
+Adam Bouabda yes and it's been a great addition for both Osmo and A7s as it's very small and portable and just gives you enough for what you pay for.

Why using APS-C Sigma
lens on full frame sensor? :O
Was just using the Super 35 mode and it was the main lens I had that suited the set-up.
@@curlsoncamera Oh okay,
I love this lens it's soo fast 😀
Btw FE 28mm f2 is really
good too, using it on my projects with A7s
@@julekdzwonkowski4791 Also, APS-C mode has WAY less rolling shutter (jello).
Hi ! what is the brand of the matte box please ? And this is the small rig on your A7s ii ? thk
It's a Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom
That should be so heavy. Doesn’t look practical. How long can you shoot with that?

Whats the backpack?
Lowepro Vertex 200. It's the mid range version, with the 300 being the biggest.
Bro what about focus on flycam AF on or off
I would usually set the focus before the shot but all depends on the situation. AF cam be great in some instances
wish the parts was listed
I wish people knew how to use google
Would be nice for you to show what you actually adjusted, not cut to the end "product"
Thanks for the feedback but I’m sure you can work it out. Can’t go back and re-edit this video from 4 years ago for you now.
