While you are raising money for the 358,why not go to csx and ask to save one of those bq23-7s these units were said to be the most ugliest diesels ever built. But they are very unique locomotives. Yes I would like to help save the 358,but at the same time I would love to save one of those bq23-7s also.

Don't they have an Open House every year and 765 has operated at each annual Open House since 2005?

Peter Rosenquist I mean, you never know. 765 began operation from its second restoration in 2006, and if you do the math, you realize it’s due for its 15 year inspection in 2021. They might have mechanical issues which might have the society just move the inspection earlier.

Capitol Limited productions the 1472-day inspection clock was reset in the winter of 2016 when we replaced the tubes.
