Developer using Ai is going to replace developers fearing that Ai is going to replace them. Subject matter expert always prevails. Ai is another tool to build stuffs like we don't start writing code word to word while developing softwares we use frameworks, now thats just got another layer of abstraction.
Exactly
While your statement is true, don't you think it will result in a reduction of tech jobs? In the future, a developer equipped with powerful generative AI could potentially do what three developers currently do at a time. As a result, the demand for developers may decrease compared how much its there now.
However, I also believe that these advancements in AI and related fields will create numerous opportunities and new areas of specialisation within the tech industry.
@@iamashwincherian but education systems should match those new areas of specializations. without that, no way
@@Ramana_Gaadu we have education system of 1990s good luck with that

For the drone thing:
1. Drones can't fly at 30k feet.
2. There are radars and signal jammers around an airport so you can't get them during take off.
3. Government enforces No-fly zones around sensitive areas, your drones won't even start there let alone take down something.
If it was that easy to use drones in a wrong way, there are many terrorist organisations (or as our media calls them "bhatke hue yuva") that would've used them already.
Bhatke hue yuva ke aur zyada bhatke hue drones 😂
but chinese drones are not regulated like this for indian airports.
what he meant was basically that drones could be used for harm. Today i can put a face id chip from your iphones on a drone, give it data sets (photographs) of my target, attach a small explosive and eliminate that person. This easily possible with current technology but it has never happened outside the battlefields in cities or whatever.

In a matter of a few years, AI-powered bots will reach a level of proficiency that rivals human labor across various domains. This means that everything we currently see will inevitably be disrupted.

Software Engineers are not hired on the basis of their coding skills, they are hired on the basis of their problem solving skill. These AI tools will not be able to match that problem solving ability anytime soon. For example Aircrafts have been using Autopilot since forever now and it has evolved a lot but it never replaced any pilot's job. You still need a Pilot to command the Autopilot. Aircrafts mostly operate on Autopilot mode but whenever there is an unusual situation the Pilot turns off the Autopilot and takes the control himself. ChatGPT is just another tool that Software Engineers can leverage to increase their productivity.
time will say.
But gpt is able to solve leetcode questions asked in interviews
@@sunnyside6357gpt can solve the code but it cannot fully complete the E2E flow of any production line.
@@sunnyside6357 most of leetcode solutions are already available on internet. Real production software development is much more than just solving leetcode problem. 🙂
Software Engineers means lots of things. Architects and Business Analysts do the problem solving from an idea and tech perspective. Coders then code it in the preferred technology. The Architect and BA might still have their job but the coders job can be easily replaced. In any team in Indian software companies, there are 80-90% who do the mule work and few who are really good. Maybe thos smart ones will still remain to review code generated by the AI but the rest can be let go
Nikhil, to just put the things in perspective, devops was supposed to be 1 click deployment from last 5 to 7 years, and still teams are struggling with end to end automation.
Developers won't be replaced. We all do some simple things as part of the bigger things, there it will act as smart assistant.
Low skilled work like website development will also be not fully replaced because people need customizations, etc..Lot of operations challenges like security, maintenance of the server...again to put this in perspective, start ups and big companies both are having outages even when they upgrade their os in controlled environment.
Absolutely true, this guy gets it ... Thanks for putting this out sir

Software engineering involves a wide range of skills and expertise, including problem-solving, design, implementation, testing, and collaboration. While AI can support and enhance the work of software engineers, it cannot replace the knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking abilities that human software engineers bring to the table. AI is a powerful tool, but it still requires human engineers to guide and utilize it effectively in software development processes.
I think the concern is not about the total replacement of SE jobs but the reduction in job opportunities. It will affect everyone and it's gonna be a big one.
Hey Varun, the drone hitting an airplane is unlikely since the drones like DJI or other brands won't allow you to fly or start a drone near an airport or restricted zones.
but what if someone illegally fly that drone
It won’t start in No fly zone govt has marked no drone zone it won’t fly only
@@uttr7659 how does drone know which is no fly zone?
But you can make a drone by yourself if you are really interested. There are even free resources online. So what his point is that, there is a potential threat
I own a DJI drone and it allows you to fly in restricted areas as well but you need to authenticate your mobile number via OTP. DJI may be has list of restricted zones all around the world and it has programmed its DJI Fly app accordingly so that drone does not fly without user details in restricted areas.
The Auto GPT is quite frightening as it was able to generate an entire Flappy Bird game on its own. It even searched the internet for what it needed and made real-time adjustments to the code. The fact that it was able to build the entire game from scratch is insane. This uncertainty in the field of software engineering is definitely a sign of things to come.
Damn! Flappy bird's repo is available widely in the internet😂
@@kumaramit04-q6c tip of the iceberg
how much did it cost you to run that flappy bird experiment? I am thinking of using gpt api as well for autogpt etc but not sure about cost for such experiments
Have you used autogpt yourself? I have and it's as stupid as GPT4. It just can feed prompt by itself to a certain level. Pehle istemaal Karo fir vishwas karo 😅.
I think you are noob in this industry
Contrarian viewpoint:
1. If efficiency was the viewpoint, then IT services would have moved on to ABM but they still depend on relationship based marketing.
2. Also, cost trade off, cost of implementing and maintaining generative AI in IT services vs hiring 100 engineers who can write better code needs to be looked at.
for the 2nd point, imo subscription to restriction free AI services are affordable enough for companies to probably slash off 90% of their employees to save on their expenditures. also when AI starts writing it's own code, it can probably generate way more comprehensive documentation in almost no time. which would in turn help with subsequent instances of the AI trying to modify/fix bugs in the code. this little example in itself probably removes the need for documentation writers, testers, auditors, etc. only thing where it will falter is when it has to make decisions to help scale systems and all.
@@ritamkonar6617 yes in an ideal world yes. But IT services will not opt for such subscription based services as it might compromise their security. I am with you man but after working with IT services I am sure they will keep undergoing analysis paralysis.
But a company will always want to have control over its documentation and code base. If everything is done by AI they will lose this control.

It is important to note that AI is not just a threat to jobs. It is also creating new jobs in areas such as data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence engineering. In fact, the WEF report estimates that AI will create up to 950 million new jobs by 2030.

Content writers are losing job left and right. Almost everyone is replacing them with ChatGPT. But policy makers around the world are planning to make it mandatory to disclose if the content is generated through AI or if we are chatting with a bot for customer support. As Yuval (writer of sapiens) said in an interview, It's illegal to counterfeit money so that economy doesn't crash similarly strong laws need come in place to stop counterfeiting humans.
Can AI one day replace entrepreneurs and CEOs ? That would be great.
How can an ai replace entrepreneurs illogical
I can ask AI to build me a company that creates xyz product and how can I market it and create a business out of it. Give me a step by step simple and foolproof plan after thorough research.
I want AI to replace people who post stupid stuff on the internet
Nope, AI cant make their own company. A company needs to be listed and have an authenticity for its customers to buy its products.
@@jaisood6398 There's one chinese company that already has AI as it's CEO. Even entrepreneurship is not a daunting task for AI.
Don’t completely agree with it. At best it can replace average software dev processes. Variety and uniqueness is important and I am not sure if AI can give it.
As a software engineer I would like to make a point that any software engineer takes far more micro complex decision than a customer support executive which directly impact the product and services.
Also as a person who is using copilot and chatgpt to some extent in day to day job. I would say a Software engineer would get more efficient at work and team size would be required
But world will need more software day by day. Day in and day out so software Engineers will be around at least for 20 years in a similar way if not the same. As of now .

Finally, something I would love to watch on RUclips.
Copywriters will be the first group of people who will be replaced by AI. ChatGPT can write beautifully on any topic in a matter of seconds for free. No point in paying huge salaries to copywriters at this point.
Software engineers cannot be completely replaced by Chatgpt !!
💯
Not completely but the boost in productivity is so huge that few engineers i.e 1-10 can accomplish tasks of a 1000 person company so it's scary , tasks which earlier were given to Junior interns can be done in seconds with this llms
It'll probably end up like the industrial revolution as it was disused in the video. It won't replace all of them but it'll enable a small group of people to do what an entire floor of engineers would do.

Attack on cognition was a very important point. And about the question of refund, what i think is giving refund is a decision making process. So, like any other instance that process needs a bunch of data and a template to compare with and u get the answer. In the refund scenario, the data required is voice modulation, customer history, personal details of customer, etc. Now, the result that the AI customer support might give can be assessed by the Human counter part, thereby eliminating the data analysis part and only decision making is remaining on the basis of summary of scenario. And as the AI gets more such cases, it will start giving better results.
The development of AGI hardly few years left. Main issue will be how the risk assessment of any AI model will be done?
People who know how to use AI will be High paying jobs in the very near future.
I think it would be a slightly better discussion if Varun waited until someone finished their point before speaking. Sometimes, it seems like he interrupts others.
you can't fly drones near airports or protected areas like military camps or bases. They are restricted by geo-fencing.
SOFTWARE ENGINEERS ARE DEAD
-comedian
I don't understand why the companies are doing this even after knowing the consequences of this. This will make a bunch of people jobless which will therefore bring down their purchasing power and which directly leads to less demand.
And then to whom the companies are gonna sell their product and services?
Capitalism, industry revolution get rid off slavery now its time for ai revolution.
Free market and Capitalism has become slavery now. These companies will only target high profile customers in future, low to average customers can starve to death and they could care less about it. Infact US being world's largest there are millions of poor all over their country, the pace at which AI is progressing it make everyone poor except the giant multinational companies.
An alternative perspective on this one is:
everything will become dead cheap/free. from manufacturing a car to building a house to a software solution to medical treatment, everything is expensive coz there's human labor involved. when AI does this stuff, it will be extremely cheap or free (open source). Imagine you can use an open source API to build your house end to end!
The bigger question would then be, what do we humans do? coz since the inception till today, we're humans because we have intellectual capabilities. what if we become intellectually lazy? for example: in my childhood i used to remember so many people's phone numbers, now i no longer do that. same way, what if we lose our ability to think coz someone/something is doing that for me?
ofc nobody knows exactly how it'll all turn out, but its more of a thought to discuss/debate
I think one more was missed "manager" jobs
I don't think it's that much of a threat rn. They are tools which will help you efficiently do your work.
We'll have to wait till a True AGI emergences for a major disruption.
Varun Mayya👍 logically against the theme but so damn right
Umang's final "wow" was more like a "OShit" reaction.
In future there is lesser and lesser people in the job market due to population implosion.
So the scarcity of skilled workers can be replaced by AI in a gradual process.
In case of software.. Try taking a requirement from client then you'll know if the chatGpt can replace us humans or not😂. You need to put it rightly for the AI to give you the code which the clients never do.
Thanks for sharing wisdom on economic

I think we are looking at it the wrong way, Humantiy has bigger problems to solve than just build a website for someone. With AI, we will have the opportunity to focus on solving bigger problems which are economic, social, environmental or even space exploration. AI will enhance our capability to do more with our lives as with any technology change/disruption. AI will continue to help us improve our productivity on the short term and profoundly change our education system, skills and the problems we solve in the long term. Sure we will have replacements of jobs which are low on cognitive capabilities and but thats a win win for everyone eventually. The bigger concern with AI is the quality of data input and output (including hallucinations) which needs a proper regulatory framework, disclaimer labelling and even audits to ensure misinformation is not spread.
