Good video. The comment about making the neon yellow tubing made me think of something I've been wondering. Is there a plan to make more of the parts for the VB in blue? I see there is a pulley, pitch stop, and some other smaller parts, but nothing like the charge pipe, intake, fender/intercooler shrouds, etc. I got a solar orange wrx and I would like to make the engine bay have blue everywhere possible
I hate to be the bearer of bad news.... but we discontinued blue😔 when we had it, no one seemed to like it. However we really like it so i could see it making a come back with more parts.
What studies have been done with your intake and temps? Seeing that its "open box" Do you see the temps increasing over the stock box or other "closed box" systems? For the top mounter intercooler what do you think about adding heat tape the do the bottom of the in tanks to help cut down heat coming from the engine?
Welcome back @CRMAG87 as far as open vs closed vs stock your maybe looking at a 2° temperature change. However specifically to the stock box, because it’s plastic it does take longer to cool down after getting warm. In regard to putting heat tape on the end tanks… it is unnecessary because the temperature on the hot side of the end tank is around 50° hotter than the temperature of the engine bay. With that said, it will do no harm so if you’d like to have at it!
@@PERRINPerformance thanks for the updates on that. Trying to make my final decision on the Company and parts to go with for parts with my car since I want a good long daily but with some added fun.
We have a prototype that we are testing out. The CEL has been a real gremlin so we aren't cutting any corners and are making sure we run all the tests we can to make sure no CELs are thrown.
Man this was so awesome! I am happy to hear the yellow boost tubes are coming out, but I still am afraid to do FMIC because of the tampering of the safety equipment- maybe ya'll can find a way to route it while leaving the bumper parts in place? It might be impossible.
well like we said well be making a front mount intercooler protector but that well not be crash rated. A good second option is our top mount! you'll still get substantial performance gains without the need to remove any safety equipment.
will there be a mount kit for perrin strut bar to mount oil cooler , if i already own oil cooler ? or do i need to buy new oil cooler and basically im shit out of luck ?
Whats up with the VB in the background? Why is the throttle body out the front?
😮😮😮
Because it’s the mad scientist car🤪
Looks like a BRZ intake manifold. Oil cooler then moved to the TMIC location.
I love this! Jeff, lmk when youre ready for me to become partner at Perrin so I can move up there and make videos with you 😂
Go buy a rain coat, we got a desk right here for ya!😄
Ouuu, a shroud for the top mount would be great. I still need to get mine installed soon.
The weather is getting nicer out, you better get that install done soon!
I’ve installed the diverter valve not that hard plus pretty much everything else bolt on they sell if anyone has questions

Cover for the cold air intake?
its on our to do list for sure!
Will the FMICP have a tow hook spot but for license plate relocation function?
Not a specific mounting point but we do have a solution planned to still be able to mount a plate with the front mount

Are you forsure going to offer lust the front pipe later to complete the downpipe cause id be interested in yours over the over i was looking at then

Solid content! Looking forward to ordering my front pipe as soon as it available on website!
We appreciate the support as always! And I got some good news… perrin.com/shop/exhaust/front-pipe-with-catalyst-for-2022-2024-wrx
@@PERRINPerformance thank you!!!! This is awesome
Will Perrin offer rotated/BRZ intake manifold hardware for the VB? IBR is kinda flaky whenever I ask them about the VB.
Were looking into it, the good ol' boys over at the EPA aren't a huge supporter☹️
@@PERRINPerformance Just call it a throttle body spacer kit. Tons of companies sell those worthless things and the EPA doesn’t seem to care.

We are coming out with a kit to mount it, no need to buy a new cooler!
Thats amazing news. Finally can utilize the hood scoop:) would ther be a new hood scoop shroud to focus air flow
haven't really thought of that but is a good point to be made
Finally a FMICP🙏
Any way Yall can comment on my comment when the FMICP is available?? lol thanks
